An Awaited Return

Ra felt his temper flare up, but didn't fully understand why. When she was around Flinx, she was herself. She didn't sugarcoat her words or keep her temper down and controlled. Sadly, she felt the need to lash out at him and this she did. Setting the cooking utensil on the counter, Ra whirled around to face him, her eyes glowing in her anger.

"You haven't touched the dark, Flinx. This is what my darkness is."

A skill she knew what called Sinkhole. It would open a pit. Inside that pit would be anything that Ra could think of and imagine. However, for Flinx it wasn't torture she had in mind. It was pure loneliness, total solitude. To have nobody there to talk to, turn to for anything. It may or may not be something he knew of her. That she truly had nobody in her life.

It lasted but a moment, but would have felt like an eternity to him and he was back at the table. The floor under him was normal and not marred in any way.

"Respect is impossible to get without showing some force, my friend."

Her anger evaporated and she went back to cooking their meal.

All of a sudden Flinx was mired in the feeling he felt about a week after he had left his mother on kashyyyk. Sitting alone in the dark, nobody to talk to, nobody to care weather you lived or died, no one to miss you or even know if something happened to rescue you. In his mind the ticking of his internal chonometer slowed and eventualy stopped. He felt frozen in his own thought. This is what his version of alone was. Yet her version of alone was vastly deeper and as he sat ther frozen in hs thought he started to cry He remebered the old Ra, the ra who sang while she cooked, who went to the library with him. that Ra was dead killed by this ra. Time started to speed up and Flinx fled the room as soon as he could move.

Staggering and stumbling through the halls to the hanger he feels two heads under his palms and on head on his back as twi climbs into her normal place. As he gets o the ship he clapses int the main living space, locks the ship, and just balls up murmuring . "No, makee it stop, make the pain stop. stop, please stop." He is tortured by images of his sith father laughing from beyond the grave, the smell of singed flesh and the marks on his body. He feels all the hate he had for his father and now another sith was hurting him but now these marks burned worse cause they burned at his heart. He cried and his companions backed away a bit not sure of what to do.

Turning the heat off of cooking, Ra leaned her head against the wall for a moment. She didn't expect her action to cause such a reaction in Flinx. He ran from the kitchen and remembered his way to the hanger where he ship was kept. Maybe it was better this way.

The childish, young and naïve Ra he had known was gone. He hadn't changed like she had, it drove a schism between them. A gap that could not be bridged and crossed. He expected her not to have changed and she had wanted him more grown up. Their time apart had brought about too much change in her and too little in him.

Turning to look the direction of the hanger, Ra sent a final message to him.

Look for Jairdain Ismet. Find her and she will help.

Flix worked his way up to the cockpit and sat down in the seat. He thought a moment on what had happened and finally saw how childish he was. He sent a message to Ra.

I'm sorry for running. I don't want us to part this way. ill be right there and we can talk over dinner.

Flinx's companions, sensing a change in him slowly came up and rubbed their heads on him as a show of support. They gently guided him back to the kitchen then went back to where they had been before.

Flinx slowly knelt in front of Ra. He took his sabers out and placed them in front of his master and with a tear stained face he bowed to her.

"You were right master, I am young and foolish. I need your help before I leave to help me get my life straight plus I don't want us to part as enemies. I want us to truly part as friends, or even family. Feeling what you feel on a daily basis triggered in me all the memories of the past I've held onto. Plus we still have unfinished business."

She did not expect Flinx to come back after he ran off, but he did. Even though he pressed her buttons and knew what she was. Even now had an idea of what she could do to him. HIs message had been received, but she hadn't replied back to it. In saying he didn't want them to part in such a manner wasn't totally lost on her. Looking down at him kneeling in front of her, she shook her head.

"We're not enemies and never will be, Flinx."

Holding a hand down to him to help him to his feet and pointed at the table, she turned back to cooking the meal. The sabers remained on the floor, but next to her since she had turned to make the food.

"How do you think I can help you and what business do we have unfinished?"

Turning her head slightly so she could look at him, even if he wouldn't see her doing this.

Flinx stood."Firstly I promised to teach you what I know of my beast mastery. secondly I still swore to serve you as you are my master and you also saud you would help me learn your essence transfer skill." Flinx sat at the table and levetated his sabers and sat them next to her vibroknife block. He sat there still upset as a small storm of emotions swirled inside of him. he hid nothing from his master even tho she hid herself from him. he was an open book all she had to do was read him.

Her visits to ra were often, specially with recent events she moved around waiting for her husband to maybe contact her....

Either way a surpirse visit was in order, she landed at her castle like place and got out. She looked up and cursed seeing it was gonna rain which meant she'd be here a bit. She let herself in and felt a flood of emotions, she frowned and moved silent hiding her signature as she came up in the scene and observed she then moved forward as she spoke her tone that of a stern teacher

you still haven't gotten the hang of being a teacher have you,

She let her presence be kniw a powerful light almost as she gave a small smile then looked to the boy before crouching to speak

such emotions are dangerous ra, especially with a storm this I've taught you...or are my teachings forgotten?

What Flinx said was true, he had said he would try to teach her how to contact animals such as he could, but she had never said she would show him how to do essence transfer. Turning away from the food for a moment she was about to correct him when her sister decided to pay a surprise visit.

The only woman in her life that had ever been a true friend and one she didn't think of when she lashed out at Flinx a few minutes ago. Stardust was now more than a simple friend, they were sisters. Maybe not by blood, but adopted into Clan Raxis.

"I am a good teacher Star. Flinx and I have known each other so long. As long as you and I have known each other actually. We met at the same time. You're the one that discovered I could use the Force at all. He and I have been on quite a few adventures."

She shrugged and looked at the ground, not meeting her sister's eyes.

"Yes, I scared him a few minutes ago, but I swear I didn't mean to."

Looking now at Flinx, "I'm sorry."

Flinx sat back at the entrance of Ra's sister. He lets the two talk without contributing to the conversation. He wanted to stay and support Ra, but to hear them talk star could offer him much more in the way of growth and training. if he went he wanted to send her updates on his progress and growth,

"Ra, I was the one who provoked you."

She looked at them with a stern look before she relaxed and let a sigh out before moving to her sister and gave a hug before a soft smile

I'm sure you didn't miss bad side

She said in a playful tone as she giggled and to the boy as she thought for a second then looked back to ra

what exactly have you tight him or well what does he know

The look Stardust gave both of them, almost made Ra blush. The intensity was harsh, but needed to calm the sith down. The situation had gotten to the point where Ra had lashed out in anger at Flinx, but it calmed down under the gaze of her sister. When she let out a sigh and gave Ra a hug, she returned it along with a little smile.

"Well, I didn't. He had said he had explored the Dark and well, look at him."

Pointing in his direction with the spatula, "he hasn't seen what it is."

Turning back to the food to finish cooking, she listened to her question.

"He actually already knew about the Force before we ever met, so whatever he's learned has been done on his own. Take a seat, sister and we can all talk about this over dinner."
