An Encounter In The Cold

[member="Ai-lynn Tannog"]

The house was quiet, just like Ren preferred. The cities were usually loud from the outside activities that took place. So he didn't get to sleep so well often. "I could get used to this..." he mumbled smiling at the thought of living in a secluded area such as this one.

Next day. Ren stepped out of the room as he looked around.

Ai-lynn couldn't sleep well that night. She couldn't stop thinking about the unnatural fight and the corpse near her house, even though it would probably be covered by the snow when morning comes.

Before she knew it, it was already dawn. When she saw something moving, she sat up from her bed. The traveller from yesterday was probably awake.

Ren walked over to his, now dry, clothes and sat down. His hair was slightly off though he didn't notice. He noticed the fire was out. It wasn't cold, but he didn't want to wait for it to get that way. It wasn't of his knowledge if Ai-lynn had any wood nearby, so he began putting on his robes. Not the armor however.

Ai-lynn got out of her bed when he started wearing his robes. She avoided looking at him and glanced at the pile of firewood at the corner of the room. There was only one stack left. "Need more wood. I'm going out." She said as she took her axe and lamp again. She had quite a few things to do that morning because she didn't collect any snow nor did she collect any firewood the previous day.

Ren finished putting on his robes on when Ai-lynn went out. He didn't get to say anything back when she took her leave. Not that he had anything to say. He put on his boots tying the laces and standing up. I guess I should go recover the body. He stepped out onto the snow closing the door behind him. Now, his search for the body began.
