Another Round [Dragon School]

[member="Skye Felindar"] [member="Eenia Vahn"] [member="Seskel Sangrey"]

These three Padawans had been called to Kashyyyk, to have another training session aboard Josh's personal ship, The Final Dragon. One of his Padawans was new, while another hadn't been seen in some time. Seskel was going to need some work to get to where he needed to be, Eenia was still a rookie, and Skye was brand new, with the Silver Jedi having assigned him to Josh rather quickly.

They were a good class to train together.

The three upon entry would find the Jedi Master waiting in the designated training room that one of the droids on the ship would guide them to...

Skye sauntered into the unusually large room behind the the other seasoned trainees. He did his best to hide the smirk on his face, but excitement got the better of him and let is beam through, albeit rather twisted due to the forced placant look he was trying to wear.

"So....", he whispered loudly, "Do you suppose he is meditating, or impressively sleeping while standing"? He side-stepped a little and adjusted his loose-fitting clothes he wasn't yet used to, while waiting for what he hoped was a sharp, yet playful retort.

It was admittedly a little strange to be training on a ship. This isn't where Eenia started, after all, though she wasn't complaining in the least little bit. She hadn't been on board thus far, so as they were lead towards the training room, her gaze cast about to take everything in as they went. When she heard the new guy speak up - Skye? - she blinked and shift her gaze to him.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he could sleep while standing." she let out with a grin, clearly amused by the idea. "But my guess would be meditating."

However, when they were let into the room, neither seemed to be the case. So she made her way further into the room and stood aside while she awaited further instructions.

Seskel sighs through his pursed lips as he eyes the doors to the training room. He had already given up on the ways of the Jedi twice, but for some reason, they still accepted him with open arms. Some mushy crap about seeing the light inside his conflicted soul. He figured after he strayed off to the Dark Side for a rather long period of time, the end of his path as a Jedi stopped, but he was wrong.

He had left again because his head still wasn't clear, and his soul wasn't pure enough. He had too much dark intent, and without a word he left and went to find a quiet place to stay and meditate and find his estranged way of weening himself from the Dark Side and slowly gather himself back into the light. It was one of the hardest battles he had ever fought, as it wasn't physical. There was no way to take advantage of his opponent. It was just him and the deafening silence of the world around him.

He had had his breaking points in which he wanted to give up, where he just wanted to forget all about it and become a Sith. It called to him. He yearned to feel the way he did when he had unbelievable power over everything that surrounded him. But after a long few months of thinking, and a few rebuilding sessions whenever he destroyed his hut in anger, he found himself right back where he started when learning the ways of The Force.

He walks through the doors and as they close behind him, he cuffs his hands behind his back, a cold expression suiting his rather rugged features.

Suddenly, the figure in front of them would disappear entirely. A moment later, someone would speak from behind them.

"What was that about sleeping?"

The figure they had seen had been an illusion, a conjuration that seemed to be the result of Josh training his abilities in illusion-creating and fooling the minds of others. He couldn't project himself into the illusion, only his appearance, and he couldn't see through it's eyes... And he sure as hell couldn't conjure it all the way on another planet, but he'd like to think he was getting the hang of illusions at the least. Even Jedi Masters needed to train, and that was what he'd been doing while waiting for the Padawans to arrive.

"Now that we've gotten past the obvious... I'd like each of you to recap what you all know, thus far" He would remark as he would step forward and then turn to face the three of them.

A small gust of breath comes from Seskel's nostrils as the Jedi master had appeared in front of him. He had no clue what was going to be happening from this point on. He didn't know if he had changed the training regiments or if it had all stayed the same since he had last been training under the wing of Master DragonsFlame. Well, ACTUALLY training. Not the last time when he had decided to run off not even a day into training.

He let his arms slide down to his sides, making a small sound of scraping fabric. He really didn't have anything to say. Nothing that needed to be said in front of the others. It's not that he is ashamed of his conflicted past, but he just didn't want to disturb the others.

That and he isn't too fond of public speeches.

Skye jumped a little, startled by the direction of the voice. He proceeded into the room along with his, what he hoped to be, new friends.

With an embarrassed smile he quipped, "Now if only the other you came with strings and a more wooden face you could make big money as a ventriloquist".

"As it stands I dont think I have any qualifications as a Jedi, although I do have had some martial training. Well, at least as much I showed up anyway.",he said taking a step back.

Skye was placing himself slightly behind the other two, to watch them, study them. He could tell by the look on their faces that they seemed to arlready now what to expect.

Being no stranger to learning from others mistakes he waited for an opportunity to glean any helpful morsels of knowledge that these two seemed to have at their fingertips.

He balanced on the the balls of his feet, expecting to be caught off guard. He knew he didn't stand a chance, but he wanted to try and limit his embarrassment to as little as possible for the evening.

Having seen their Master in one place, and then hearing him behind them? Eenia startled and shifted so that she could look, but not turn completely. Her brow creased and she watched as she and the boys beside her were walked past and then the three of them were faced.

She looked to the boys, listened for a moment, and then cleared her throat quietly before looking back to the Master in the room. "I've had a lesson over using the Force." she let out, "And jumping." not her strong suit, the physical stuff, but at least she hadn't been afraid to try. Nervous sure, but not afraid.

A vicious wash of shame had finally found it's way through Seskel's skin, as his face turned a little red.

"And I aside from what you had taught me before I left, learned a little bit of mind control and strengthened my force abilities when I left for the Dark Side."

Seskel looks to his feet, a troubled look about him. He lifts his head and gazes into the eyes of his master.

"And with much time to think and clear my mind, I'm ready to become a Jedi, under your training. If you'll allow." He says, his smooth, rather deep English accent flowing elegantly with his words. He gives a small bow to Josh, standing straight again, the redness in his face now gone.

[member="Skye Felindar"] had basic combat training. It would do. From scratch then, it was. [member="Eenia Vahn"] had what he'd taught her... Obviously. And [member="Seskel Sangrey"] had done some self-improvement, even if his ability to resist the dark side was about at about the ability of an untrained monkey who the dark side offered a banana. Fair enough. He would nod his head in turn as he would then grab several training sabers and toss them to the group.

"Today we will be going over lightsaber forms. These sabers are low-power, and will sting and bruise at best. Do watch me" He would command as he would activate his own lightsaber, the blue beam radiating brilliantly as he would take stance.

"This is the stance for the Makashi form. You will assume this form when facing opponents who are using lightweight melee weapons or lightsabers. It will primarily be your best weapon against the Sith. Copy my stance."

Skye stepped forward and took a light sabre without hesitation. As he picked it up he could feel the most exciting part of this tool, the weight difference. Training with a weighted blade was tedious, heavy, and monotonous. This, however, might be more fun and interesting than he originally had thought.

"Oooh", he exhaled in excitement his eyes lit up brighter than the humming emerald blade. "So.... Teach, Master, umm what should I call you?", he fumbled the question while not really paying that much attention. His thoughts were instead on how this worked already instead of what was actually happening. "Does the color of the sabre matter?", he querried while eyeing the other two options.

Skye, without waiting too long for an answer was already retreating back to his position behind the other two students. He flashed them a smile on his way by that can only be compared to a child recieving a new gift. "I can't wait to actually get started with two!", he whispered loudly as he mimicked the stance his master had taken.

Seskel smiles at the question Skye asks, taking the purple saber from his master's hands. "The colors are to match your inner most desire. Green, for peace users. Purple, for ones whom were Siths, then to become a Jedi." He says calmly, his low, English accent flowing with his words elegantly. He smiles at Josh. He is glad to see that he has faith in him.

He gets into his Ataru stance for a brief moment before getting into the correct stance. He still has a little bit of recollecting to do as far as the way of the Jedi goes, but he is willing and ready to do anything he can to get those thoughts, and the entire way of the Dark Side out of him.

Being tossed a training saber caused Eenia to fumble a bit, and drop the blasted thing. This naturally caused her to blush profusely, but she quickly stooped to pick the saber up and right her posture. She was most definitely not anywhere near the same physicality her older sister was in. But, despite this fact - and the blush still on her cheeks - she shift her focus back to their Master to pay attention.

When instructed to watch, and then to mimic his stance, Nia took a moment to look the training saber over before she looked to the pair of boys being trained with her. She listened to what was said, and then looked to the sabers in the others' hands, but she said nothing. Instead, she took a deep breath to steady herself before she did her best to mimic the stance their Master was attempting to teach them.

"Master." "No."

He answered both of the questions of [member="Skye Felindar"] in quick, blunt succession as he would continue to hold the stance, keeping complete focus on the stance as well as making sure his students were doing it correctly. Though Seskel's remarks would cause him to quirk a brow, and he shook his head.

"Wrong. The color does not matter, though red is generally associated with the Sith so it's probably not smart to use a red one" He spoke flatly. "Back in the days of the old Republic, the color of your lightsaber would signify whether you were a Jedi Guardian, Consular, or other class of Jedi. Purple lightsabers were not a thing back then, and they never did mean a Sith past" Josh would correct. "After this lesson, Seskel, I want you to do some studying to brush up on your history."

Once he was satisfied with their stance, he would begin to make slow, careful swings, as he would do so in the Makashi style. "I want you to copy my movements. You'll form your own from them eventually, but for now, follow the basics swings for Makashi."

[member="Eenia Vahn"] [member="Seskel Sangrey"] [member="Skye Felindar"]

After hearing the stern response of his master, Skye's grin quickly turned into a sour pout. "Tch!", he clicked, realizing that his master was already going to be strict and boring like his previous teachers. He longed for a more adventurous setting, something rife with adventure or even what he considered half-hearted interest. He looked to his peers in hopes that they could be the exception to this possible dull future.

The sound of metal hitting the floor pulled him immediately out of his trance, as he noticed Eenia quickly picking up her fallen saber. His lips parted with tinge of humor. "Maybe this won't as so bad after all", he thought alloud. He took note of her embarrassment and left it at that. He wanted to have fun after all, not be a bully.

Again his attention was diverted as his master gave a lecture to Seskel about saber colors. "Was this really going to be so challenging of an ordeal that these previous students were already having difficulty?", he thought with a bit of worry. What had he gotten himself into? His distraction ended there as the young group recieved new instructions to now copy a rhythmic set of slashes.

These events seemed to renew his confidence as he started to follow the motions. He was very clumsy at first. He was used to weighted training blades, and these light, almost weightless blades were far from that. He managed to mirror the patterns, but his movements seemed a bit forced and unstable.

He tried to steal a quick glance over at the other two to see how they were doing, but he was met with an immediate burning and stinging sensation from the practice blade skimming his right knee. He immediately knew what had happened as his leg buckled and he fell to the floor unable to support him through the quick jolt of pain. He rested a moment and started to laugh alloud. This seemed kind of fun after all. After the pain abated he popped back up to his feet and took his stance. His thoughts turned into focus as he started to twirl the blade again into beautiful ribbon patterns through his imaginary foes.

Seskel upon hearing the correction his master gave him, gave a glare of a thousand blades. "Yes sir." He says through his teeth, trying to calm himself down. He shouldn't expect any more than this. He HAD messed up quite frequently by altering to the Dark Side. He swings his blade in the patterns that his master showed them, keeping his eyes on Josh as he does so.

It takes him a second, but he pushes all the negative thoughts back into the back of his head, averting his glare from Josh to the wall behind him. A deep breath is heard as he corrects himself, getting a more elegant flow of things as he trains with the saber.

His grip tightens slightly as the thoughts come back, and suppress, again, and again, and again. He shakes his head slightly, exhaling and pushing them back with all of his might. It's just a tad bit difficult. Human programming and all.

As it had been with her last lesson when doing something physical, Eenia had needed to watch for a time. More than once she watched their Master work his way through the movements of the blade, and her gaze followed each little detail to the best of her ability. She had remained stationary even as the boys on either side of her began to mimic the movements, but she took her time to learn before she joined them.

It naturally wasn't perfect, not even close. She had the right rhythm, the right amount of care in what she was doing, but she just wasn't quite there.

And then she was startled out of it when Skye hit himself with his saber. Nia physically startled, and she shifted her gaze to look at Skye with wide eyes for a moment. "Are you alright?" she questioned, glancing at the Master in the room before looking back to Skye.

The glare that [member="Seskel Sangrey"] gave him did not go unnoticed. The Jedi would stop and stare a hole through Seskel when he did, almost as if saying don't you dare try it. "Curb your frustrations. That is why you keep falling" He spoke directly to Seskel with a ginger, calm tone. It was true he was strict when needed, and Seskel was an example of why he needed to be. But Eenia would know from her sister that he lightened up when they could be trusted. But he also lightened up at select points, when needed... Such as this one. "Breathe, relax. While this isn't easy, you need to relax. Clear your mind. Listen to me, Seskel. Getting frustrated will not help you. It will only lead back to the path of the dark side, and those are chains you do not want around you. Just relax. You're going to be okay. Take a deep breath, collect yourself and approach it anew."

[member="Skye Felindar"] did not appear to be taking this as seriously as he should be, and he paid for it when the training saber skimmed his knee. That would leave a healthy bruise, he thought. "Remember that pain" He advised as he would walk over to Skye and take the hilt of the saber. "Remember it as motivation to take this seriously. If you can't swing a lightsaber without proper focus, then you will have this happen a lot. And trust me..." He trailed off, suddenly grinning cheekily. "When you get a real lightsaber, you don't want to have this problem. I mean, unless you like being half-robot with most of your limbs being replaced" He cracked as he would then begin to swing the saber slowly, making sure that Skye still had his hands on it. "Like this" He spoke as he would swing, slowly and pre-meditated, but he wanted him to understand how it felt to swing it a certain way.

With that, he moved next to [member="Eenia Vahn"] who he would motion for her to focus on her own saber. "He's fine. Focus on you. You can't get distracted in battle" He would advise as he would motion for Eenia to return to her swings, wanting to see how she did before he moved on. "Show me your form."

"I am fine! Thanks for the kindness of your concern!", Skye said quietly in Eenia's direction with a soft expression. He snapped back to attention almost immediatley due to the sound of the master's footsteps drawing near.

Skye listened to the words given to Seskel with sharp attention. He did not want to experience the hardships this young man seemed to be wrestling with, and wanted to avoid it at all cost. As the master strode his direction he expected harsh words with backhanded reprimands; as the likes of his former, excedingly strict, masters were. Instead he was met with kindness and a sense of deeper focus, like a master smith polishing the grain of steel to a mirror shine. He couldn't help but grin from ear to ear as the humorous line of his possible detriments were laid out for all to hear.

This was indeed much more fun than he figured! He focused hard on the lesson the master bade him, and put forth his best effort to follow. After a few swings he found it. The perfect rhythm that felt like the ebb and flow of water. He felt the dance of his saber doing as he willed. The rush of excitement filled his blood with adrenaline, allowing him to focus intensly on his task.

In the back of his mind, lurking through the murkiness of background thoughts, a concern immerged into his focus, "When will I get to actually interact with the other two"? He was indeed wanting to, no metaphorically dying of interest to get to know someone other than his family.

Seskel looks to his master for a few more moments before finally taking a deep breath, and letting it out through his nose. His posture changes, taking him from an irritated-like stance, to one that is more, looked upon in the way of the Jedi.

"Yes, Master." He says quietly, closing his eyes for a brief moment before reopening them, re-visualizing the movements that he had shown them, in hopes of them being able to mimic him.

With those words of confidence, his mind went from anger, to blankness. There were no thoughts in his mind to distract him from doing what is necessary. If only he could find a way to keep it like this.
