Another Round [Dragon School]

Skye caught the great saber deftly and twirled the handle around in a whirl of motions. The sensation of having some weight to balance and distribute in his hands felt natural! With a smirk he flicked the blade on and watched it roar to life. The brilliant blue light washed over him in a flourish of swirling motions as his martial training took over.

With a wide smile splayed across his face he turned the saber back off. "This is much more comfortable!", he said in releif as he looked to his master. He then turned his gaze over to Seskel, who had picked up two sabers. Perhaps everyone had their own style indeed. Skye pondered how he would try to handle a flourentine style with a great weapon. He shook the thought away and decided he will just have to wait and see his skill level first.

He then turned his attention toward Eenia and his smile immediately dropped into a frown. How was he supposed to spar with somone who had a complete look of terror in their eyes? All this girl will accomplish is half hearted flailing, or worse, taking risky attacks to try and end things quickly out of fear.

Skye walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder, "Just take a deep breathe. I will try to keep up at your speed, but take heed. I'm not going to go easy on you." He said with a soft, but reassuring look. With that, he walked back to his place in line and waited for the call to arms.

Seskel twirls the hilts of the sabers in the palms of his hands, where the blade will ignite in front of him instead of behind him. The colour of the blade reflects in his eyes, and a grin slides across his face. The blades are a deep purple. And they purr beautifully with a trailing hum as they are swayed back and forth.

"Expect the same from me, towards the both of you." He looks towards them. "We all need to know how well each other can fight, so we know where to help each other out." He turns to Josh. "Correct?"

Watching these boys with their sabers was not at all helping Eenia to feel better about the situation. The way they so easily moved with the weapons was ridiculous, and it made her huff a little. It was like watching Anora with a blade, only...not. Anora moved more fluidly than these two did, but that was neither here nor there. At least they knew what they were doing.

However, having Skye approach her first caused Nia to loft a brow at him. She took in what he said, and then immediately frowned. Her expression flattened, save for that very frown, and she shucked his hand away from her shoulder. "My speed?" she repeated curtly. "How about I heft you up from where you stand and throw you across the room without breaking a sweat?" she clipped out, her eyes narrowing a tad.

Eenia may not be proficient in the blade department, but she was developing quickly with her Force skills. She scoffed loudly and stepped away from Skye, moving to line up on the other side of Seskel to await further instructions.

"Don't worry about it. It's not like he's coming at you with a real weapon. And remember, he has a weak point as of late." Seskel looks to Skye's knee and then back up to Eenia, a cold, dead expression on his face. "You have speed, he has strength, you could make a lap around him before he finishes a swing." He looks to Skye. "But it's the same for him, you run circles in the wrong direction." He shrugs.

"Done-zo."

"Enough" Josh spoke calmly but also firmly in response to the remarks and Eenia's taking offense. "Once you have chosen your weapons, take stance and have at one another. I will be putting you through the forms of lightsaber combat as we go. Remember to use the Force as your guide. A lightsaber is a nearly weightless, very light, very fast weapon that has a blade composed of light. If you are to know where it is at all times, you must be able to use your senses to enhance everything. Your sight, your hearing, your instincts... Everything must be heightened at all times when you are using a lightsaber, or you'll just chop your own arm off. Luckily, at low power your lesson will be learned by little burns, instead of losing your hands should you make a mistake. I am sure that the threat of burns alone though, will be enough to give you ample reason to use your senses well and not attack recklessly."

He motioned for them to begin as soon as Eenia had chosen her weapon. It would be a free for all spar, this go around. Good for learning how to fight in more crowded scenes.

At his words, Seskel takes stance and lets his blades power on, the blades hissing out of them. He positions his right blade to face behind him, and his left to face out in front of him. He looks at the other two while they position themselves and get ready to battle. A small part of him feels a little bad. They look like they haven't the slightest clue what they're doing.

He lets out a small sigh through his nose, waiting for them to get ready.

Eenia let out a huff when their Master got onto the lot of them, but she stepped away. She made her way to where the training sabers were, and she extended a hand out as she walked along them slowly. She didn't actually touch any of them, her fingers just barely ghosting them as she passed. There was a pause, and then she backtracked and took a saber from the rest before she turned and made her way back to the line.

The training saber was then activated, and she shifted her stance but only just slightly. Her eyes then closed slowly and she worked to steady her breathing. Eenia may not be the most proficient when it came to using one of these sabers, but you had best believe she was going to do her best to be on par with her senses so that she could keep herself from being struck at the very least.

The brush off stung a little more than Skye would have liked, but what else could he expect? It was a matter of pride at stake in this bout not the learning curve that came with it. He took the comment and slapped wrist in stride, and chalked it up to raw nerves and anxiety.

He took his place in the triangular circle they had made and readied the saber hilt, but did not turn it on yet. He lowered into a stance and held the saber behind him facing to the right. His other hand slightly stretched out in front of him kept his balance in check as he balanced on the balls of his feet.

His mind now clearing of thought and emotion started to fill only with pure focus. Reflexes are his best friend, and the fact that he could heighten his senses for a lightsaber duel almost felt like cheating; However, he clearly knew the other held just such an advantage as well. They may not have the same martial arts training he did, but they have much more force training than he did by far. Skye took a deep breathe and waited for the signal.

The lot of them were ready then. Josh watched the blades they had taken, the sabers they had chosen, and considered whether it would be the ones they would choose in the future. He watched their stances, as unrefined and unknowing as they were, and made notes of how he was going to make sure that these stances were rectified. He watched every movement, every stance, every bit of posture with a keen eye. He wanted to know everything about these Padawans after this match.

"Begin."

At Josh's green light, there wasn't a moment's hesitation before Seskel ignited his blades and rushed towards Skye, who had let his blade rise to it's full length with a deep, heavy roar. Seskel slams both sabers against his one great one. He must admit, for a man with such heavy weaponry, his reflexes and counters are quick.

He notices Eenia come towards him and turns on the heel of his foot, striking her saber and just barely blocking the swing Skye takes at him, however the swing did knock him out of stance due to the weight and force behind it. Seskel charges Skye, slamming into him shoulder-first to knock him back a bit, before taking his stance, pointing each saber at each of them, waiting for someone to make a move no matter who it is towards.

Where there should have been panic, there was only calm from Eenia. She heard the movement from her side, and from the direction it came, she knew it was Seskel. He didn't come at her, but that didn't make Nia drop her guard any. Instead she took a deep breath, kept herself as calm as she could and her senses sharp. When she heard something come her way, her eyes came open and the saber was moved to block whatever swing came her way. She was perfectly fine with admitting that she had no real offensive moves, but she would defend herself at every turn if it kept her from feeling the sting of those blades if they were to come in contact with her body.

The first crack of the blades resounded in his ear as he clashed with Seskel. Skye's blood started pumping furiously as his excitement peaked. The rush of endorphins numbed his nerves and sent him into a sea of overwhelming energy. His senses seemed to sharpen finer than a grain of sand.

He almost felt like a backseat driver in his own body as the warrior inside of him took over. The slam of Seskel succeeded in helping him regain control of his own movents. He shook his head and focused on his opponents. He took a lunging step between both of his peers and swung a sideswipe that headed towards Seskel. Skye grinned as the parry that he hoped his opponent would give will be completely for naught as he flipped off the blade, then turned it back on once he was passed him. The look of certainty in his eyes made him feel confident of a hit on Eenia as the blade continued rushing to her once it passed Seskel.

He knew whether it was blocked or not his next move would withdraw him from the danger of a pincer attack. He was poised for a perfect moonsault to launch him to the other side of his opponents, back into a triangular stand-off.

He must admit,

The fact that Skye turned off his blade threw him. Who does that in battle? Seskel regains his footing after a short moment of staggering, which made him angry, very angry. Not enough to cloud his judgement, but enough to make him forget that this is a spar, not a battle. Seskel turns the blades around and starts to lash at Skye quickly and repeatedly, every strike landing at his blade. He's waiting for an opening of some sort, anything that could. The smug aura that surrounds Skye pisses him off even more, and after his moonsault, Seskel uses the force to push him aside a bit before tagging his arm with the blade, getting back into his original stance. A darkness starts to dim the light in him, like a dark blanket of clouds over the sun.

It had been a matter of defending herself again, though admittedly Eenia hadn't expected for Skye to pull a move like the one he had. She had only just barely gotten her saber up in time to block, and she had to add some real force with her arms to shove him away from her. Thankfully - or maybe not so much so - Seskel seemed to only get more and more aggravated with the situation, and he stepped in to reel Skye's focus. Part of Eenia was alright with this fact, it took the focus from her and let her re-calibrate her senses so that she could get her defenses back up properly.

Seskel turns to Eenia with a quick spin on his feet, and eyes her stance, his eyes widening a bit. The look on his face is filled with anything but good intentions. He slides his right foot back about two and a half feet away from his left and crouches down as if he is about to pounce. A small grin finds his face as he positions his sabers to where his right blade is sticking in the direction of his back on his left side, and the same for his left. He then lunges at her, putting a bit of force behind it, going for an outward "X" attack.

It was a good thing the younger Vahn sibling had taken the time to refocus, because moments later it proved to be needed. Her brow creased and her eyes narrowed, despite the fact that her eyes had rolled closed. She could feel the movement as it came towards her, and she was almost certain she could see it. Not the way she could see were her eyes open, but in a different, distorted sort of way.

Regardless, when the attack came her way, the training saber in her hands came up to block and save her skin. She pressed hard, making sure to keep enough weight behind her blade to keep from caving and getting stung by either of those blades. The blonde's eyes then came open and while she didn't smirk, there was no longer that sense of dread in her gaze.

Eenia's footing shifted and she took a step forward, and with that step she put the Force behind her weight and pushed with the training saber so that she could shove their blades apart and put some distance back between them.

[member="Seskel Sangrey"]

Seskel slides back with the push she uses, stumbling a bit. He growls and curses himself internally. He had to admit, for what she was lacking in melee, she definitely made up for in force ability. He flips his left saber in his hand to where the blade stuck out forward and he positions it behind him, and the other one in front of him. His brow sinks down, his gaze seeming almost evil. He uses the force to throw his right saber at her, following behind it to attack with the one still in his hand.

[member="Eenia Vahn"], [member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

Well, clearly he didn't like that. The look that was shot her way caused Eenia's eyes to narrow in return, and her grip on her saber tightened. She had her senses open still, trying to keep track of Skye while she watched Seskel. When the one training saber was thrown her way, she lift a hand and used a Force push to send it not only away from herself, but skittering off to the side and out of Seskel's grasp. Eenia then lurched back and brought her own saber back to both hands as quickly as she could to keep herself from remaining too open and exposed for attack.

Seskel decides to become a bit clever, and hopefully it will work...

He lunges his blade in a stabbing motion towards her gut, but quickly ducks down and spins himself, taking a swing at the outside of her thigh. He lets go of the saber with one hand and uses the force to bring his other saber back to him, tucking it, along with his arm behind his back.

[member="Eenia Vahn"]

The blow to the thigh caught Eenia off guard, and the sting of the saber caused her to hiss and cry out. However, the cry wasn't exactly pain, it was an immediate frustration the usually passive girl hadn't honestly felt before. While one of her hands loosened from the blade she had clutched, the other swung and brought the saber out to strike back against Seskel's now entirely exposed side. First instinct was to strike at the exposure of his neck, but the passive voice in her head brought her down further to slash against the upper portion of his exposed arm.

However, she didn't stop there. The free hand she had also came up, and she did her best to first gripe at Seskel with the Force, and then work to heft him up off of his feet.
