Beautiful, isn't she?

- BYOS: Equipped with specialized vertical hangars in its underbelly, the Starchild, just like its Colony-Class sisters, has the ability to carry 4 Myrmidon frigates
- Cavernous Hangars: Several Hangars located in the underbelly of the Starchild hold hundreds of starfighters and shuttles
- Outer Rim Charm: Modified and repaired by Outer Rim Coalition engineers at Silvia Shipyards, the ship has been heavily modified with Mandalorian, Chiss, Mon Calamari, and Quarth technologies making it truly unique including a compartmentalized design and the fast recharging redundant shields of the Mon Calamari.
- Invite Only: Docked Capital Ships count towards fleet limits in engagement threads where limits are specified
- Engine Blind Spot: With massive engines and limited weapon coverage the Starchild had no way to protect its engines from assault
- Exposed Bridge: While not the typical bridge tower of Imperial design, the Colony-Class battlecruisers did have an exposed bridge dome. While more heavily armored than typical bridge towers, it was still an obvious weak point in combat.
- Electronic Warfare: The advanced droid brain-based ship computer can be sliced into either locally or through a powerful electronic warfare suite. What this means for the crew is up to the imagination of the Slicer as the ship computer manages most of the large functions of the ship such as frigate/corvette launch bays, internal gravity, internal defenses, and is tasked with regulating the ship's generator.
- Home: Technically an Ugly now, it also has many of the typical flaws of uglies. On top of the unfamiliar technology the crew has to deal with, the reactor is incredibly vulnerable powering all of these systems, powerful Ion attacks have the tendency to shut down weapons and fry whole systems despite its compartmentalized design, artificial gravity can sometimes randomly switch off randomly during intense combat, and the crew reported strange smells coming from the Cargo holds. But its home.
A hodgepodge of engineers and shipwrights heavily modified the Colony-Class battlecruiser with scrapped parts from other designs, adding bulbous Mon Calamari shield generators across its hull, advanced Quarth navigation systems, and exotic weaponry to the ship to replace weapons systems that were destroyed. The re-fit would lower the total gun count on the battlecruiser, but would in turn allow for better allocation of power and space throughout the ship. The vertical hangars were slightly modified to conserve space and the shipyard's Mandalorian owner even gave the captain several squadrons of Mandalorian starfighters to replace those he had lost in the battle of Fondor. As the repairs slowly churned along more and more Alliance remnant forces and squadrons came to replace those that had been lost in battle. The home of Rogue Squadron was fundamentally changed, but it would live on to fight another day.
