Oh man, my backup plan was seducing her! Showing her that she turned to the darkside because she never knew true love,

Alright folks. Between two reactors being destroyed and Jude's actions on the bridge, the Omega is going down.

Repeat.

The Omega is going down.

There will be one more DM post before the Omega crashes- which will give everyone two days- and *as many posts as you need* to escape. Feel free to write as desired to accomplish what you need to accomplish. You *may not* land lethal blows on named NPCs however (unless you receive a message from me saying otherwise). If you wish to continue to fight with a named NPC and not make your escape until after tomorrow's DM post, you have the time for that, but there is no guarantee of victory.

Does this mean no trench run? :(

[member="Natasi Fortan"] Please feel free to still trench run! I had to take in to account what the folks on board were doing- the fleeters, other than seeing that the Omega is changing direction, probably wouldn't know right away what's going on inside.

I guess that means no trench run eh? Time to put away the toys, sadly.

Edit: Well, I guess there is a trench run, ignore everything I have said.

Well, technically, all ships in space should always be moving in relation to each other during a battle. So I don't see how thing precludes it. The Omega's been moving this whole time. Now it's just moving.... toward Castameer >.> [member="Natasi Fortan"]

Now that you mention it -- the Death Star was moving, too, because it was going around Yavin to reach Yavin IV.

This is something I had not considered before.

Admittedly and ashamedly, lol, I only really focused my attention to the Deadly Void thread, and didn't read any of the other threads that were taking place. So I don't know what shape the Omega weapon is in now, except for crashing into Castameer while - as far as I'm aware from previously skimming (ok, I peaked a little at the other threads!) - Omega is charging up to fire at Castameer. Is that still the case or is it more or less going to be a disabled free-falling hulk?

I was hoping the weapons systems would still be operational, and the trench run could be an effort to disable them before they can fully charge and detonate the planet pre-collision? That would be a good reason for the run to take place, and not be just a waste of life strafing an already defeated foe. :)

[member="Roderik von Brinkerhoff"] The weapon is still operational, yes.

And the ship is actually maneuvering toward the planet's surface (someone said "Jesus take the wheel!" and [member="Jude Falkrowe"] said "Okay!"). So disabling engines may slow it's inevitable impact.

Lark

Saint of the Damned
To those fighting Darth Molior, which would be better: for Lark to attempt to help by firing at her, or staying back and not getting in the way?
