Private Apprentice to Water

"Excellent!" The Sorceress replied to Draco Miles Draco Miles . "You have an impressive use of it. There are students older than you who practice for years and never come anywhere close to the control you display."

"Hey boss. Just got a transmission from Mother! She wants to know if you're okay.

The flesh of the Sorceress of Dantooine's face bubbled and shuddered for a split second into that of Arianna, while keeping the rest of The Sorceress she had assimilated everywhere else.

She gestured for his comlink and he tossed it to her.

"Yes, Daughter, I'm fine, I'm just fine. How are you?" Arianna asked, her face out of place on her body.

"How goes the Vault exploration?" Xiphos asked.

"Slow so far but picking up steam, definitely. Would you like me to bring you back anything?"

"Uh, no. I'm good. But thanks. Whereever you are, I recommend setting up a checkpoint. Or a base camp in there if at all possible."

"I'm afraid that even this early, the area is not safe enough to allow for that." Arianna explained... "Much more scouting would be needed just for this one section."

"Than do not take risks. Stay in there another half hour, get as far as you can and pull back after that."

"Of course, Daughter. And thanks for checking on me." The Countess replied. "I love you. See you soon..."

"I love you too, Mother. Stay safe."

Arianna cut the link and allowed herself to be subsumed once more, her face disappearing into that of the one she had absorbed with a shudder and a ripple.

The kindly Sorceress turned to face Draco once more. David had been busily plucking gems nonstop, politely offering Draco the most brilliant and shiny emerald he had yet spotted.

"There is one spell I would show you. It's called the Spell of Illusion Traps."

The Sorceress hissed out ancient words and her flesh shuddered disgustingly everywhere as the runes appeared on the ground before disappearing.

The Sorceress demonstrated, stepping on the rune trap and an Imperial storm trooper appeared, sounds and all, shooting at her, but the bolts were illusions, and harmless also.

"A well placed illusion trap can distract even the savviest target if done properly. Be warned, the complex the illusion, the more effort it will take."

Draco blushed under her helmet, happy to be acknowledged and praised. She watched as the face of Countess Belasko looked out of place on the body, shifting back to her normal armored self and looking with contusion at the distortions in shape. It was… wondrous. Beautiful even how Vivian moved and manipulated each and every soul inside of her like it was slime, mixing multiple together and creating strange new things. She listened as even the voice sounded the same! It felt… inspiring actually, to the point that Draco mimicked the Countess and shifted her helmet to look exactly like David!

She turned and looked at the neutralizer with his own face, cracking it into a smile as she gingerly took the emerald and looked it over with one glowing red eye before clutching it

“Thanks, Me, that’s really nice of you”

She said before chuckling while the countess gave a report, afterwards when the sorceress of Dantooine returned she changed to her normal appearance and focused once more on the lesson, she wasn’t too good at setting force traps, but thought of combining the two and nodded… shouldn’t be that hard!

She stepped up and thought of the most simplest thing for her to make, placing her hands on the floor, she closed her eyes and focused, runes glowing along a circle flashed to show its completion before Draco took a step back

“Try it, tell me if it is convincing!”

If the sorceress did step on it, a clone of Draco would step out with the Dragon’s Fang ignited, lunging and slashing upwards like an uppercut, a pretty good jumpscare too, since her helmet looked more like a human skull was carved into the visor

The Sorceress gingerly stepped on the rune, and jumped back as the Illusion scared her.

"Well done!" The Sorceress of Dantooine praised, after she got done laughing. "With practice, you'll be able to make it last longer."

David ventured into the chamber that had spilled the coins onto the Sorceress. He went in and his Skeleton Jaw fell open as he beheld a giant Aurodium Statue of Darth Mammon holding up a glowing red ruby the size of Arianna's head.

"Whoa..." he said. He took a step forward.

"Hey, take a look at this!" he called out to the others...

The Sorceress turned to David.

"That is a booby trap. Say, Draco, why don't you reach out to the Force to try and discern the nature of the trap...it is Force Derived in nature, and given how deadly they can be, you'll want to get adept at figuring those out..."

Draco was loving the praise, giggling and jumping up and down like a schoolgirl inside. Though she didn’t understand the prompt was to make it last long… she could’ve made it last longer! She should’ve, would’ve gotten more praise.

“Thank you, Master, I will work on making it last longer.”

She said with a slight bow before focusing on David once more, and looking up at the massive Ruby that SCREAMED it was a trap… Draco heard of her new assignment and nodded

“As you wish, Master”

She focused on the crystal and reached out, feeling it with the force and feeling the trap,
