Are force users holding the galaxy back?

Why does Lex Luther want to kill superman? For one simple reason, he is the man of the future. He solves all of the worlds problems and defends planet earth from every threat there is, and he believes this makes us weak, and to an extent is true. That superman is holding us back by solving our problems. If we can't do it on our own, then we can't evolve as a species any longer. Every time a new threat shows up superman is there to destroy it, and can the same be said about force users?

If you think about it then yes. Revan lead the republic to defeat the mandos. The Jedi lead the clones, the sith lead the confederates all while a force user took control of the galaxy. And at the end of it all a force user saved the galaxy by over throwing him. Force users are our supermen and we have grown to rely on them, and so I've made this character. I'm not the best at writing heroes and this new character Hyde will be acting as the Lex Luther of the galaxy in a quest to exterminate all force users so the galaxy can return to Vanilla Mortals.

But yes do you think they are holding us back? And would you like to see this idea made into a company or faction?

Well, for the most part, there's not much further than the galaxy can go. It can only really regress and then advance again. Tech in canon has been mostly static with few if any radical changes in thousands of years, which is strange, since technology progression "seems" to be exponential. It should continue improving at faster and faster rates.

Yet it doesn't. They pretty much have just about everything anyone could dream about. It's not so much Force users holding the galaxy back as the fact that there's not really anywhere to go and progress has slowed dramatically. Jedi had very little to do with that and Sith even less. They have lots of influence, but not that much.

In this era, there are more active Force Sensitives than ever.

The vast majority of nations have institutions in place to train said FUs. And some of the biggest moves in Chaos history have been driven by force sensitive individuals. I mean, look at the One Sith for example. Their Dark Lord guided them into roflstomping the cradle of democracy.

I personally think that this era would naturally demand such a faction to rise up. Planets have been destroyed because of force users. Atrocities have been committed, big ones, at the hands of force users. Throw a dart at the majority of those in power in the Galaxy and they'll be force sensitive. So yeah, great idea and I hope it succeeds.

To clarify my post. I do think a faction focused against Force Sensitives would be a good idea. Makes for great story lines and it's something my character would definitely be interested in. IC Racism is awesome. My first post just reflects my OOC views.

There's still tons of room to expand. We are no where near the levels of technology as the Celestial's, Rakatan's or Gree. Cannon or site wise. We just have to build it, and have the Admins allow it.

The problem with Force users, though not the cause of every single one. Is they're responsible for most of the wars we fight. Mostly the fault of Sith and Dark Siders. But I've known a few Jedi who've sparked conflict. We'd probably be better off without them of course. But that's not the way of Star Wars. Force users are fuel for the flames of war. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Force users? Holding me back?

Please honey,
I'm a strong, non force using woman who don't need no honkey religions to make her mark in the 'verse.

I don't know if we hold anyone back or not, but one thing is for sure;
We run the show, and I'm not sure if that's good.

Force-Users hold a level of power most can't even begin to imagine, and putting us in charge leads to conflict. A faction keeping my kind in check is a good idea, and I may even join up.

Those damned Force users, holding us back like the slime they are... actually im not joking.

I voted yes for IC and OOC reasons. Solan Charr would love nothing more than to see the Force user groups disbanded and he himself would return to his home on Eclipstica or rule kesh without having to worry about helping fight against the other force users. Now with that said i also do take into the fact that Solan would likely be hunted too and to tell the truth i revel the challenge. But i would rather take my leave to teh secluded parts of the galaxy and be left alone than deal with Force user purges.

So Short answer, Yes. But please spare me.

Perhaps.

But fighting against Force Users as a whole is a generally unrealistic goal, considering thousands, or maybe even more, of Force Users are born into the world every second.

And eventually they're either going to find an already existing organization of Force Users to join, or eventually there will be those that go out and create their own.

Are they holding us back? I'd say no, only because while Force Users are a dominating factor, they are only a fraction of the trillions of trillions of lives throughout the galaxy. FUs must still rely on NonFUs to get anything done. Individually, they are superior on average, and like was said, they are born every day. Trying to wipe them out would require a combined effort from a lot of fractions, if not just about everyone in the galaxy.

I do love though the idea of a fraction like that being around =) Spices things up.

Sounds no harder than the Sith trying to obtain immortality... and permanently destroy the jedi. Lol

Im all for this!
