Yes.

A lot of Sith know they are evil and do what they're doing self-consciously and are doing it because they can.

They kill innocent people because they don't agree with the Jedi Way.
They wage war for the sole reason of wanting a Galaxy filled with 'Order.'
Or, better yet, like Darth Malgus, they want war simply because they want it. You can't have a Sith ruling the whole Galaxy. It doesn't work like that.

Palpatine is an exception.

Jedi and Sith are neither evil. Their intentions are good, but their methods are flawed.

The Dark side, while it can be used for good, does not wish to. It corrupts the souls of those who call upon it, using them as it's own tools to spread it's goals.

But this does not mean that the Jedi are innocent. No way. They stay so near to the morality grey, and strive for a nigh-impossible ideal: emotionless peace. This, if anyone has tried to maintain it, is rather unhumanlike.
