Ascension: Part Three

Mullarus, unconscious, slumped over in Abelain's massive arms. Blood continued to drip from his broken armor, probably right onto [member="Abelain Narv'uk"]'s arms. Of course, he was unconscious, so he couldn't tell what was going on.

[member="Fortuna"], Abelain, [member="Darth Azurea"] could not only see how physically broken Mullarus was after the inevitable battle, but they would probably feel a fraction of it mentally through the faint Force Bond formed between them. It would be mostly felt by Azurea, whose Bond to the Knight was stronger than any other in the entire galaxy. If Abelain didn't know any better, she might have needed assistance to stand as well.

The torn remains of the ancient Lord Jekyll remained on top of the old temple. A poll of blood and possibly some gore mixed in would start to form as it dripped down through the hole in the ceiling. The burden of vengeance upon Mullarus' shoulders would finally be felt after getting major medical attention aboard his flagship still orbiting Rakata Prime, where an ancient evil had finally been put to rest.

Darth Azurea could only watch as the Arue'tii approached. While she could heal as well, this situation required caution. Knight Mullarus was extremely wounded, evidenced by his coughing up blood. The Sith Lord herself was weakened by the effect of Sith Magic and she wasn't even sure that she could summon the energy to begin the painful process of knitting back his flesh and bone with the Force. It would likely hurt both of them more than it would help.

And watching him in so much distress caused her an immense amount of emotional pain. She feared any one of them dying at the hand of Lord Jekyll, but after their tender night on his ship, she had begun envisioning a future with Mullarus. Could this be the end? Will that vision never come to fruition?

The Arue'tii apprentice lifted Mullarus and simultaneously, Private Ategann also carried the body of the other soldier who did not survive this bloody trial. Glancing at Fortuna, Azurea knew that she needed to get up, but her legs felt heavy as lead. Her body was fatigued and drained beyond recognition. The only thought that propelled her to finally, painstakingly move to her feet was that she needed to be with Krux.

She finally entered the ship with the rest and stayed at the Sith Knight's side while he received medical attention in the medbay and through the help of droids.
