Auction of the Century (OPEN - Black Sun Dominion of Nar Kreeta)

The genetic samples were, as it happened, from her -- one from the holocron auction, one from her successful kaggath -- but the third alchemically interesting specimen was the Bafforr tree pollen.

"One hundred thousand on the pollen," she said clearly.

A girl couldn't be too careful, nor too prepared.

"1.4 million, and Ill throw in a crate of BETTY blasters for the date." Daemos called out. The man before him thought himself on par with the Lord, they would see soon enough. Though Damien tended to stray towards cruel and uncaring, he did have a few he truly trusted and even slightly cared for - his Czar Brother was one of them. And being crafted from altered Varanin genetics wouldnt change the automatic lust for the blonde.

"The seller of the alchemical tomahawk and knife has informed me-" In amongst earbud updates of a successful ongoing corporate takeover. "-that non-monetary bids are preferred. The seller will accept credits, but other bids will have an advantage."

Which could cut into Rasho's commission fee somewhat, which irked him -- but in the end, he was already going to be making hand over fist, and the Black Sun war chest for Nar Kreeta's domination would only grow.

Being a good sport on the matter, Spencer sat there with her legs crossed and her attention focused on a little hand held in her lap. She didn't really listen to the group that was betting on a date with her, she decided she would just be a good prize and sit there for a moment until @[member="Rasho the Hutt"] needed her to do something. In the spirit of the auction and the fact that Rasho was a hunt, the normally modest Jedi donned something that @[member="Ashin Varanin"] would recognize quite well from their first meeting. Dressed in a dancer garment, Spencer played the most recent installment of 'X-wing escape from the Death Star'.

Arceneau Trade's designated auction guard, Ashiin 'Ash' Varanin, boasted nondescript armor, a sonic shotgun, and a face that measured several millihelens. Spotting @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] in dancer's clothing, she could only assume that it was Spenser Jacobs, the clone Companion who worked for their mutual boss, Miz Danger. So she tossed Spencer a nod and kept working, guarding the place.

Arthur didnt even notice Spencer Jacob's being there, honestly it had been nearly a month or two from the last meeting he had and he was more focused on doing calculations in his head to even realize she was in the same building. Taking an average guess on how much the pistols were, Arthur raised his bid for the date to one point five million and sat back drinking from a glass while he read a file he had collected on the force and how the Jedi perceive it... he was bored... really bored.

A face that Spencer hadn't seen in sometime nodded to her. From the corner of her eyes she quickly picked up who and where they were. First, the thought of 'how did Ashin do that' popped into her head, but then she shrugged it off and figured people had gotten used to her other look and wanted to wear her old, but younger face. A face that Spencer knew and loved quite well made the girl stand and leave the portable gaming device on the chair she was sitting on. There was no reason for her to remain sitting there like a doll on display so she made her way with a slight sway in her hips towards the guard.

"Hey look at you Lover, as much as I enjoy your face - you've started to slack on your whole master of disguise." A soft laugh she leaned forward to give who she thought was her wife, a tender kiss on the cheek.

@[member="Spenser Jacobs"] had been affectionate, even clingy, but a kiss and a -- wait, master of disguise?

Feeling slightly sandbagged, the clone in the nondescript armor blinked brown eyes -- definitely not Ashin's pale blue. "Hey there, Spenser," she managed after a moment. "Nice outfit." She rarely asked what Companions got up to; she'd been at the Oiran House long enough to know that wasn't the life for her. "You lending Miz Danger a hand tonight? A little distraction while the wares sell up?"

After this many auctions, the lists all blurred together.

Spencer quickly picked up on Ashin's eyes as she came closer, of course too late to pull away from the gentle kiss on the cheek. Well now this made things a bit awkward. Biting her lower lip she heard the accent that came along with the Ashin look a like's response another indicator that she wasn't talking to her Ashin. Putting some distance between her and the look a like, Spencer started to file through her memories trying to draw up any information on Ashin having a twin or even a sibling. Nothing came up and this caused for the awkward silence to fall between them. Blinks were the only thing that were exchanged for a good five or six minutes and then Spencer decided to speak again.

"Uh, no. I'm one of the prizes a date or something like that, but you would have known because I told you this all this morning and even earlier in the week..." No, this wasn't Ashin and if it was - maybe she was wrong on the master of disguise business. Still, Spencer should be able to tell who the heck her wife is. "Who is this Ms. Danger? Who are you?" @[member="Ashiin Varanin"]

@[member="Rave Merrill"]

Amusement lit the emerald eyes of the crimson maned woman at the younger brunette's commentary. Oh she knew who she was; you don't network the way Danger does without being keen on knowing the who's who and just whom is related to the other. Ain't no one down the Mara lane that don't know who Jorus Merrill is, much the less, the kind of dealin' he'd be happy to if you mess with 'me and mine.' The fact that the man had ripped out the bridge of a destroyer and flung it into Hyperspace with just the power of his MIND was enough to be keen on who the Warden held a measure of affection for and who his blood is. Savan done made that mistake once, and Danger wasn't somebody's fool.

However, it wasn't Rave's connection to Jorus that made the woman stand out. Oh no, that distinction lay due to her reputation. The up and coming businesswoman had a keen mind that expressed itself in her business dealings, and to be frank, gotta give a heap's full of respect for a woman who can grab the Terror by the balls quite literally, and turn it into a demandable product and plenty of profit. Rave Merril certainly wasn't one to be under the shadow of a man nor be caught with her pants down, cleaning up her messes like the bulk of women Danger had met.

A smirk went twisting across her lips as a stream of spicy white smoke went to the heavens, Danger bringing her left hand holding her vice down to her side while her right went up to shake Rave's hand.

"My oh my, Miz Rave Merrill in the flesh." she cooed out with a grin in greeting, "A mighty fine pleasure. " she brought her cigarillo back to her lips and took another deep drag, before adding " Been wondering when I just might be bumping into you."

Humor lit her expression, as the chaos of the auction around her ensued. A bare creamy shoulder gave a soft shrug, then a coy gaze, "Momma done told me that beauty is the same as dealing business; no pain no gain in this galaxy." the hand pulled away the cigarillo from her lips.

"Auction or not.... a girl does what she has to do to take advantage of every opportunity," her eyes gave a slight devious sparkle, "A woman like yourself knows mighty fine well it ain't just the product that sells.... it's the networking."

Curiosity sparked across her face, as a motion from the woman with a slight tip of her head brought over a waiter to offer them drinks, "Feeling your throat a bit parched Miz Merrill? What kinda poison might I get you today?"

That was a long pause. Over the course of that long pause, Ashiin realized that this woman's eyes were yellow, and got a glance at a nearby lot list. SpenCer Jacobs, not SpenSer Jacobs. Well...feth.

Feth.

Feth.

"Danger Arceneau. Owns about a quarter of the galaxy. She...well, she's my boss, she's the boss of the Spenser Jacobs I know -- the clone. I'm guessin' you're the genuine article. I pretty manifestly ain't. Stars an' stones, first time in a while someone's takin me for her."

The whole time, she had her back to the wall, sonic shotgun by her side, still trying to be a good solid auction guard. But holy feth.

Spencer blinked finally becoming aware that there is someone out there that looks, walks, talks and well basically is a clone of her. All that came out of her mouth was "Huh?", but then another part of her mind mused over something interesting and her face quickly blushed for a moment. Catching herself, Spencer held her cheeks firmly and did her best to regain her composure. Her yellow eyes flashed towards the Ashin clone and smile spread across her face. She was a twin, she understood how it was when the other was recognized more and you mistaken for the other.

"Well that's interesting news on both ends, guess its only proper to introduce myself. Spencer Jacobs, I'm actually married to Ashin Varanin. Its a pleasure to meet you by the way and I'm sorry for well the kiss and making a fool of myself." A soft chuckle escaped as Spencer did her best to make the situation less odd. @[member="Ashiin Varanin"]

"No you listen to me you slime sucking pod-wrecker. The mining sector of this world will now be under control of Black Sun. Like it or not that is going to be the way it is". Cypher had the man yell back in his face about not submitting to them. How he'll call in the Mining Guild about this. Like that was a threat to him. The Guild had lawyers, he had assassins. They'd know better than to wrestle with the Sun's. The man was continuing to protest; loudly. "I'll give you one hour to reconsider. If I don't hear from you beforehand or you continue to refuse; I'll move my troops to secure the mines, your offices, and you. Think well Mr. Slandok". Cypher turned the holo-projector off. "What an infuriating man he is". Cypher looked at his watch to note the deadline. He'd have his way no matter what happened.

With some free time now Cypher began to look at the auction they were running. Maybe there would be something really interesting to buy. That last one he got distracted and had it bought out. But that was fine, it was how an auction worked. Stay on the ball or loose it. The prices were mostly steady, a few bids. That date seemed to have someone gunning hard for it. Cypher would play for something or two.
The Corusca gem he bid 25,000 for.
The Seydakin he upped to 60,000.

Rave smiled ambiguously. "No pain, no gain in the beauty department? Now there's a sentiment to make a Nightsister wince." Cosmetics covered more than a few burst blood vessels. After all, the only hot Nightsister was a weak Nightsister. And Rave had long ago decided that she could live without being attractive. "I do try to network on more than just my company's reputation and free samples, but I don't have all that many shiny years left to me. Lum, thanks." A cheap drink, but the one she'd learned to love while flying with her brother, young as she'd been.

"Wanted to thank you for setting this up. Really helped me get my name out, startup like AEL." She found herself slipping back into the edges of spacer-talk. "Company's name, anyway. I try not to defecate where I masticate -- no reason folk have to know that the company got bought by a Fringe High Councilor."

"I know who you are," said Ashiin with a slow nod. "Know who she is, after all. Ain't been one of you without the other since Moridin had a pulse and then some. She don't still look like me, though -- 'less she can change her face. Well, feth, she can, can't she. And here I thought I was at least the only one with this mug, clone or no clone.

"She's not...here, is she?"

Looks like the captain would be receiving a whole fistful of reciepts at the end of the week, mused the bounty hunter, leaning at the far end of the wall, armed from head to two in the new Tenloss armor she' d bought.

She was here not only to get some shinies, but to recon the area, the cherry red laser of the cybernetic eyepatch taking in as much as it could, streaming the data. There were two things she wanted out of this auction, so she began to place her bid, tapping into the datapad the offer that would transfer over electronically.

Arthur smiled wide as he noted a new item on the board, an item he had seen before in old files about the Empire. His hand worked immediatly as he put down the base offer for the blueprints of the Pellaeon Star Destroyer, he wouldnt have the resources to build one yet, but he would certainly be ready for when he did. His eyes also focused on the Gem but he waved it off, he didnt need it, so instead Arthur looked at the ceiling of the room for a moment.

"A hundred thousand for the Genetic sample of Circe Savan." He was curious about it, curious about what he could do with it, and all people would hear is a metalic voice of a helmeted and shrouded in dark robes with his eyes staring forward. No one would know who he was, no one would be able to trace his funds, and he was to be someone that would be hidden quite well for right now.

A slow smile crept over Danger's lips, and she gave an incline of her head. "T'was my pleasure; glad it helped get your name out and all," the waiter gave a nod at the mention of Lum, while her own glass would be filled with whiskey. Whyren's to be exact.

"Hah, " she gave a soft chuckle, " Fair be. If'in that's how you want it." her head dipped again in a nod, her fingers circling round the glass offered to her, wrist rotating slightly, the amber liquid in side turning into a small whirlpool.

"So, tell me Miz Merrill, just what plans do you have for AEL?"

Meanwhile, it wouldn't be long before the tightening grip of the Black Sun would start to send a shadow over this world. The sooner it did, the faster ATC would be handling trade here. Alisha'ven would be taking care of the specifics, but it had been based on buying out little by little stocks and shares of the trade companies here so as Danger would be able to have a higher majority.

That's where Alsha'ven was at this very present time; handling the trade of stock shares. Updates would be given to her through her encrypted datapad; and with the recent influx of credits from the Bazaar and 5% stock of Silk Holdings, Danger was more than ready to invest in more.
