Auction of the Century (OPEN - Black Sun Dominion of Nar Kreeta)

@[member="Danger Arceneau"]

"AEL's plans? Well, Miz Arceneau, the bottom line is, AEL's plans usually boil down to 'What critter are we gonna skin next?' We contract bounty hunters and such to hunt down what needs hunting, contract with local governments and such when they find out they have a terentatek problem or whatnot -- funny thing about terentateks. They lie dormant for centuries, but when the Sith spring up, up they wake. An' there's been a lot of Sith doin' their springin' thing the last ten years or so. Plenty of terentateks.

"O'course, we aim higher. 'Tween you and me, I recently put together a team of Masters, folk from all over -- independents, Fringers, even Ayden Cater and Sio Kerrigan -- and we took down a Lotek'k, a Terror From Beyond. Vicious, intelligent, size of a skyscraper. I've got leatherworkers on the job as we speak. Got some fun stuff comin' down the pipeline."

Hmm. Non-monetary? Well... I had a few items of worth. Not much. Not much at all. A tomahawk and a knife. Those were the weapons of a hunter. Somebody who liked gettin' their hands dirty. Not because they were sadistic or anythin', see, but because it felt good to have that contest between man and nature. I knew a little bit about it. Yeah, I had somethin' in mind this guy or gal might like.

"A set of tusks and the hide of a terentatek for the tomahawk and the knife. Plus a 100,000." I growled. "An' 34,000 plus one job - bounty or otherwise - for the Gorgon rifle."

"1,600,000 for the date, with the crate still included." Daemos was going to keep going higher if needed. He was opting that his total bid was roughly 1,650,000 combined with the crate at this point, and this was also a successful gain for any seller as they then could sell the models as well or keep them. Personally he had a stash of Beskar he could offer as well, but was choosing to keep that until the very last moment.

"Spencer is worth a great deal, what are you willing to offer?"

Spencer felt a hint of guilt as she nodded understanding somewhat where Ash was coming from. Not owning who you were was weird and in a way lost. Trying not to focus hard on the deep thinking, Spencer continued to smile softly and brush a few stray strands of her blonde hair from her face. Remembering that Ashin had lost the ability to use Mask, she hadn't worn the face that was in front of her in some time. A soft shake of her head, Spencer shrugged and spoke quietly.

"Your face just holds memories for me. I feel in love with it when I realized my feelings for Ashin, but now I love her for her not her face. She doesn't look like you anymore and she can't look like you ever again unless she goes back to how she was. She lost the ability, it was silly of me to forget that. Your face is just a memory for me, but beyond that your face is your face." Spencer hoped that provided some sort of comfort for the clone, letting her know that she was the only one to look like she does. "As for her being here, she told me she wasn't attending unless she's decided to be secretive like the last couple of times. That woman sometimes... she just likes to dip her finger in everything"

Right, space was boring, and she could be in her ship any time she wanted, it was time to put boots on the ground and go see what was happening, maybe expedite operations personally. Don't let be said that she sat around on her butt sipping champagne while others did all the work. Coming in for a landing at one of the planet's many ports, Domino left her ship looking more like a mercenary in her Vornskr Armor and new leather gauntlets than, well whatever she was to the Suns now besides an admiral.
" @Cypher , this is Domino, I've just landed and was wondering where you needed a hand the most." There, that should hopefully scare her up some fun. A beeping from her waist pack caught her attention before any reply could be made. Her datapad telling her that she'd been outbid. Taking it out she upped again. Letting those texts out hurt more than she was willing to admit but maybe this would get some of the Book seekers to lay off if there were other strands to tug. She also put in a bid for the gem (silver sounded like a nice color for the blade on the pike she was constructing) and the ysalamir on a whim. She had a sneaking suspicion that she was relying on the force too much, plus you never knew when you might need to cut someone off.

Alisha'ven had her orders, and she was all too willing to follow through with them.

While the auction was underway, the Rutian had made her way over towards the main stock exchange, where the public market of the various businesses constantly traded stocks day in and day out. This was a gateway world, and throughout the previous months, more especially in the wake of the Expo, more and more shares had been bought under puppet names.

More would be bought today, and then at the appointed time, would all be sold to Danger Arceneau. It was just a matter of time. Once she did that, and had in ATC's control the bulk of the trading economy, a rise in ATC trade stations would soon streamline the entire trade industry on Nar Kreeta.

Her lips grew thin.

Now what was she do to? Thoughts came to mind, ideas, and mulling over what to offer. She had items she could offer... but those might amount to a bit of risk.

And a yelling from the Captain. He didn't like it when she exploited the witch. But he did yell at her all the time to earn her own keep.

With that in mind, knowing that the witch would not object, she offered another bid.

[ Huntsman, the alchemical tomahawk of Master Seroth Ur-Rahn............81,000 and one holocron by Dathomir Witch Ti'Cira D'arr Hawk describing and instructing the Life bond Force Power ]

Akovin wasn't usually the type to go to place to bet on just how much of her invaluable money she could spend in one sitting, but with the amount of hubbub about it and her quickly rising fortunes (or soon to be rather), she decided to relax and see how many people she could piss off before she had to relent. It was a risky game obviously, because if she misjudged how badly someone was going to spend and they didn't raise the bid in all likelihood she'd be risking a lot of dough. She scoured the list and found a few interesting prizes, one of which being a set of armor that supposedly belonged to Ashin Varanin, which was interesting but not particularly her style, she liked her own armor better despite its possible reputation benefit. There was also an interesting net gun and a nifty grenade launcher, which although cool, she could probably build something superior in quality and more appropriate for her uses.

But wait, what was that? Wasn't she married to... she was!

"A karkin' date with Ashin's wife... well I'll be! Didn't expect them to be this kinky." She shrugged at the hilarity that would ensue to meet Varanin's wife... and how upset those horny desperate men would be when they found out they lost her to ANOTHER woman. She shook her head in amusement with a drink in hand. She lifted the stuff as she spoke to raise the bid.

"1.7 mil!" She hollered with a huge grin.

Damned Forcers. All their souped up holocrons and texts of ancient abilities. Sounded pretty damn impressive, hell take 'em. At least, I was impressed. What in the Maw was I supposed to offer now? But stang it, I couldn't imagine some guy who owned tomahawks and a knife wouldn't want some good hide and bone. More terentatek parts, killed by the hands of a Fringe expedition.

"Terentatek tusks, the hide, all eight claws, and two vials of poison from the beast on the knife and tomahawk," I grumbled, "And 200,000."

"Domino good to hear from you. Yeh I could use you for something. Not to much trouble. Just affirm to the local Banking Clan representative that their interests will be protected and honored here by Black Sun. Word of me. If he has any issues with that have him call me. Ohh and the miners are being rowdy. They've an hour deadline to submit or the tanks roll. Other than that, enjoy the party". Cypher was having a blast playing submit or die. Time for a break though, go schmooze with the bidders like a good host.

Cypher stepped out into to the open on a second floor balcony. He had a microphone in hand. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I hope you're all having a fine time bidding for some of these fabulous, and some not so treasures! Still lets give a round of applause to @[member="Rasho the Hutt"] for putting on this event"! Cypher's voice boomed out over the entire hall. Cheerful and all that as it should. The mic was stashed under his arm for a moment so he could clap his appreciation to the Hutt. These auctions were good cover to keep important types off and away from noticing any possble operations that may happen.

"No problem, though if it comes to that let me handle it, nothing ruins a party like tanks." It would also ruin the image of the Black Suns as reasonable people that didn't go around slaughtering people and bringing down property values. You know, whichever people cared about more. Now lets see, Banking Clan was... poodoo, she didn't know which way to go. A few quick words with a clerk in a corner store got her on track and a few more with someone wearing a suit let her know exactly where to go. Never hurt to confirm your information so you didn't wander around for hours. Though Mr. Suit didn't seem too happy to be stopped by her, maybe it was the armor, not many people wore that to the bank. Enjoying the sights of such a large trade city, she made her way downtown, hopping on a tram for most of the trip.

Lucien's servant raised her hand again "90,000 for the dragon egg" She called it seemed every one and there mother wanted that egg. Of course they wouldn't get it ... she hoped, Her career rather hung on the balance if she failed. Her shorter associate was looking over the bids for the diamond They were going well but improvement could be made he would see, aside from that things remained notably uneventful.

Vex returned staining his top, a bottle clutched in his hand he had also it seemed lost a harlot on the way back from the wine cellar. ~He was displeased to see he had been outbid by double "62,000 on the sand crawler" He had come to the decision that yes Jawas could be undercover partners. Now he pondered how to eliminate his rival bidder, the wine didn't help him think.

There was a lot of competition. This was getting fun. The young nobleman felt a feeling of excitement as the bids were placed on all of the things in the auction. There was also something quite interesting which the young man had missed. A date with a woman worth over 1.650.000 credits. A woman worth that much must certainly be intriguing, but he was not yet willing to spend so much money. For now he had to concentrate on getting the things he really wanted. ''I'm raising the bid on the Krayt Dragon Egg to 95.000 credits and the gem to 40.000 and a safe, unknown and luxurious house near the beach on my homeplanet, Alderaan.''

Rasho cleared his throat regretfully. "The sellers of the Krayt dragon egg, Jawa sandcrawler, and Tusken raider armor would like me to inform you all that non-monetary bids will be strongly considered, on top of credits."

He'd added the last bit. A man couldn't live on the commission from little Lord Fauntleroy over there trading his cummerbund for Lord Depravious' enchanted caf machine.

A wide grin went sweeping over Danger’s face at that tale, “Ain’t that a fact.” she drawled out, giving a nod.

A thought came to her mind then, considering the recent hoodoo activity down in CIS territory and along her routes. Safety reports had done told a story of such stirrings; more so for the mining and salvaging areas she’d been prospecting fuel in.

Makeb has been in her sights, and initial surveys would suggest that it had some of the same activity Rave was talking about.

“Now how in the galaxy’s name did you manage to finagle all of them folks without the desire to tear each other’s heads off?” she asked with vivid amusement and curiosity. “That be some kind of skill few have.” she told her with praise, noting more similar characteristics between the two.

Her datapad’s display screen lit up, and Danger gave an idle glance at it. It was updates from Alisha’ven. [ Going as planned. Buying more shares of the fueling factories and local mines. The Tradeport commission is next. Will attempt to convince them to ensure your placement within the commission. ]

It was all just one step at a time.

“Are you only looking for Terentateks? Or you lookin’ at wrangling other kind of beasts?’ she asked her, taking a sip of her whiskey.

Of course a luxury beach house cost what, a quarter of a mill? Then again beachfront property was limited on any planet, it was much easier to find and bomb a house than it was a battle station that people didn't know you were on. That was if weren't on the resort world Station Six currently orbited. Oh well, it depended on what the seller really cared about. Domino upped her bid again with a shrug as the tram came to a halt. Her stop, downtown. The banking clan should be just a little ways from here.

The lobby secretary was hesitant to let her pass, but a few words on who she was as well as a gentle touch of the force was enough convince her otherwise, that she carried no obvious weapons probably helped a great deal. From there she took a turbolift up to her impromptu meeting. Apparently the Muun had been in quite a tizzy having his underlings run about to secure this finance or sell that stock. Flimsies were flying everywhere it seemed in the office pool outside the head honcho's.

Mia's normal idea of a shopping trip consisted of blasting her way into a facility with a few friends and taking what she wanted. This was something new, and somewhat more expensive but credits were not an issue for Mia. With Miri Farms fresh on the market and a few months worth of working with Jorus Merrill under her belt she was more than comfortable. She scrutinised the list and watched as other people made their bids.

She'd taken great care to not be noticed, no armour and dressed in simple spacer clothes, she'd even left her beloved beskad back on the ship. She shifted in her seat and scanned the room. A shopping trip wasn't the only thing that brought Mia here. If the Black Suns were back from the abyss she wanted to be one of the first few to offer a hand of friendship. War was coming and they needed friends. No doubt the Black Suns would like to take a piece from the Republic after what they had done. She smiled to herself, she should really have run this through the Mand'alor first, but she knew he trusted her judgement.

Finally she cleared her throat and made herself known with her opening bids.

Sitting in the back of the room, Jared had been patiently waiting for the bidding war to commence. There were a couple of interesting items on display today, but he had already spent a lot of money on business affairs. So the Star Destroyer schematics would have to wait for another day, instead there was something else that was more of interest. A date with Spencer Jacobs.

A chuckle escaped his lips, as he considered it. Spencer had saved him from a life in the Underworld, or maybe a death in the bellows of the metal beast. Least he could was give her a good time, dinner and the such. She deserved it.

But what does a man bid on an item as that? Of course, he could just throw money at it until he had won. But that was a bit boring, to say the least. So.. what else could there be..

“I bid 1.8 million credits on the date with Spencer."
He grinned at her.
"...and our first child to the seller."
