Auction of the Century (OPEN - Black Sun Dominion of Nar Kreeta)

Ashin Varanin

Professional Enabler
@[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

Ashiin opened and closed her mouth. There wasn't an awful lot she could say to that, all things considered. It cleared up the face-shifting thing, gave her a little more detail on the life and proclivities of her clone donor. That tugged at her more than she'd thought it would, after this long on her own.

"They say you made the storm over Elrood. Mind-controlled the whole Parliament on Gand. Drunk cantina bards call you the Chosen One. So...what's your twentysomething demigod self doin' in that brass bikini?"

Daemos called out, "2,000,000 and a crate of MELINDA's for the date with Spencer Jacobs." Many didnt know of the powerful Beautiful Ladies arms made by JAC, but they were elegant and powerful in their own ways. All unique to the branch of arms, worth top dollar and use.

Thus far none had opposed his bid for the squadron, he had to hope that stayed the same.

Spencer couldn't help but blush and then laugh at the question. Scratching the back of her head she looked down at the outfit and patted her bare midsection. It was a good thing she had gained a little bit of weight since the first time Ashin had first met her, she filled out the dancer outfit nicely. Looking over at Ash she gave the clone a sheepish smile and shrugged.

"Demi god now that's a new one. I'll have to smack Ashin around a but when I get home, it's her fault they call me this chosen one. I did all of that, but they always leave out how tired I was afterwards. I'm pretty sure I passed out after both of those events" she laughed again and brushed her blonde hair from her face.

"As to why I'm here, lost a bet to the big guy over there. Rasho convinced me to do this instead of owing him all the credits. Not too bad, the only thing is I think I'm going for way more than what the bet was. Should have listened, never make a deal with a Hutt"

Spencer moved to stand beside Ashiin and that's when she had caught wind of Jared's offer. She flipped him the middle finger and in an instant the man would feel a sudden migraine washing over him. Nudging the clone slightly, Spencer smiled. "So they got you working the guard duty eh? What else do you do when you're not making sure people steal or get rowdy?"

Rave had been momentarily distracted by the necessity of bidding on the Bantha Rocket, an item of unspeakable rarity. "Sorry 'bout that, Miz Arceneau," she said. "So. Yeah -- we work with terentateks, but also Leviathans of Corbos, an' tikulini, an' the Lotek'k an' such. Our main clientele is Forcers an' them that fight Forcers, so that influences what critters we're after.

"As for how I got all them together for the Lotek'k hunt...well, a girl's gotta have some secrets."
@[member="Rave Merrill"]

"Ain't no trouble 'tall," Replied Danger with that typical drawl, amusement lighting her eyes, "Gotta get in quick 'fore someone makes off with the goods you've been lookin' to get."

There was a distinct amount of respect for the woman in keeping her secrets," Mmm.... glad to see y'er of the sort to be keen on that matter," she told her, smiling. "A bit of mystery is what keeps a girl interestin'.... and in business."

"Speakin' of monsters, perhaps ya'll might be interested in takin' care of such dealin's that I might cross upon," she began to tell her, "One of the many tricks I pull be in exotic animal trade --- but there be some that are just a bit too crazy for my boys to handle."

"Your Terentatek's and all manner of irk like tikulini. Been working on getting a deal on Makeb.... and there been all kinds of strange stirrings there with the minings. The way word spreads, used to be littered with them folk more keen on dabbling in the dark. Safety reports been telling me that this be an issue that is hindering my jobsites."

"I've an inkling we can find a mighty interesting mutually beneficial venture were you to come and find folk who would be happy to clear them out for me --- you get your leather and I get my boys working again."

"1.2 Mil and 1 mil credits worth of Lamanium, 25 kilos!" She called out after the bidder. She giggled totally unaware of the time table and how close she was getting to accidentally buying a date with Spencer Jacobs, and having to pay a majority of her pocket dough and signing a contract with the Auctioneers to hunt Lamanium for them... which she supposed wasn't so bad... if not for the fact that she'd essentially be doing it for free and she would be pretty much broke until she finished Popo's Four Ton campaign.

This would definitely not be good on her gambling rep. She probably spent it all punching Ashin Varanin in the gut. Oh yeah, that reminded her of her glove. She pulled it out of a bag, and awaited the possibility of another counter bid. She estimated that its weight being that of a heavy gauntlet made the Cortosis arm guards anywhere between 1 and 4 kilos, which made it between 25-100 thousand credits for that alone. She though, wasn't sure if she wanted to sell this at the possible threat of corporate replication. This was like her baby, this was the original glove, and the one that ended at the hands of Ashin. She had all the salvageable scraps in the bag. So as scrap it was probably like 80,000 credits, but the rep of harming Ashin might boost it up completely to 100,000 credits. Maybe, depends on how much the Auctioneers took stuff like that into account.

Her gloves were also minor production at this point, she had a couple on the ship. If worst came to worst she could offer some of those, just in case she over judged some dude here. Her giggling halted slight while she went into Akovin's Accounting/Gambling World, or in other words, day dreaming about numbers, odds, and chances... and also the thrill of being risky.

Leaving the banking clan building felt like the world just opened up, that place was stale with worry and she could feel it pressing in. It got a little better after her meeting with Boondi as he began to take charge again, this time firm in the knowledge that the Suns weren't going to wreck everything for the Banking Clan. Now she just wanted to buy some cigarettes, funny how old habits just came up on you. Deep breath, call @[member="Cypher"] . "Hey," she said when he finally picked up, "Fairly certain the Banking Clan is on-board with us now that they know we're not going to thug up the place. Speaking of, how are those miners coming along? Need me to have a talk with them as well?" As she talked she checked her bids, the ysalamir could slide, she didn't really need one as interesting as it would have been. Everything else though... But what to bid that wasn't overkill? Seeing the time nearly up, she hastily input a few raises and sent it in.

"2.4 million for the date, oh that still includes the crate on the side." Daemos called with yet another wave of his hand - after all the auctions he had gotten pretty used to it by now. He didnt really have much concern to be honest, at this point the bids were going to be deducted from his friends skin if he succeeded. Over 2.5 million for a woman? Having never been in love, nor truly sought anothers hold, he didnt believe in it.

However, to deny that Jacobs very apprentice held a certain liking - akin to lust - for the Master was impossible. Then again, many, he had heard, longed for the silky touch of her hands. A mental shrug accompanied this thought, she wasnt his type. He could never go for one whom let her power dwell in his same house - mentalism. She was a beautiful specimen though.

Aedan Miles glanced at @[member="Mia Monroe"] she seemed distracted and sense the stuff left to bid with all belong to him he calmly entered a bid for the blueprint he sent a message to the auction runner calmly. "Adding onto @[member="Mia Monroe"]'s bid with Two Immobilizer 418 Cruisers and 12 Claw Craft Fighters." He then looked at the other items to bid on and smirked calmly entering a bid for the date with @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] just for the hell of it. "2.4 mil plus 3 Corellian Corvettes for the date with Miss Jacobs." @[member="Rasho the Hutt"]

"I amend to my prior offer either one evacuation or one assassination..."
Were they allowed to do that? Offer target elimination?
Ashe had desperately needed that arm, and hoped that the winner wouldn't be the one she would have to kill.

Na'Varro entered at the last minute, clad in his black Cater Coat and looking to snipe some deals. He was currently lightsaber-less after that clustercuss at Eriadu, and he had his eyes on that Corusca gem. It would make a damn nice Dragon saber, once he returned to the Dark Nebula and pilfered what was left of Drako's stash. Hopefully the Dark Side would work in his favour.

"50 thousand credits for the Corusca gem, and I'll even throw in an I owe you for the owner." He knew @[member="Lucien Cordel"] in passing. Hopefully that would be enough. Noticing that a date for @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] was up for grab, and noticing the ... err, calibre of the gentlemen bidding, he also bid 3.8 million for the date, intending to release her from her obligation as a favour to @[member="Ashin Varanin"].

"TWO MILLION CREDITS, THE BLUEPRINTS OF THE SKIRA, TWO WANGA CRUISERS, TWO AZALUS FRIGATES, AND ON FREE SHIP DESIGN UP TO 1000 METERS LONG FOR THE ARM!" Popo shouted from the buffet.

He didn't really want the arm. He wasn't even sure what he'd do with it. Maybe a backscratcher. A snack? That was a thought. What did plant people taste like?

Daemos reclined and waited for the auction results. For a date, a karkin date, he offered over 2.5 million, and then some for the squadron as well. Wiping his forehead with his palm for a moment he shrugged, if nothing else he could melt down the ships and create a new line of recon ships.

"Phew, whelp that was fun. I'm going home now, and I haven't spent a dime." She smiled as she looked at the price she wracked up... 2.5 million credits! That definitely counted as success, if she could multiply a starting price by 2.5. Though for some reason, she felt kinda disappointed... it might have been nice to meet the wife of Ashin. Wouldn't anyone be curious what made the heart of a woman so powerful to tick? What made anything inside her tick! That was essentially, what Triam was about: Thrill, money, reputation, and the scientific method!

She almost deigned to walk over to the winner of Jacobs, to see how decrepit he was and what she was going to have to deal with. Oh wouldn't it be rich to tell him she never intended on buying the date! She imagined how angry he might be to find out he spent more than he should have for a woman! Priceless! She wondered something though; they had said that none of the Auction material was on-site... did that apply to people to?

Even if she couldn't buy the date, perhaps she could just meet the person. Just once.

Yup, she was going to do it. She walked over to @[member="Lord Daemos"] and decided to chat with him. She only hesitated a moment realizing the identity of the man was one of her past clients. Great! Conversation starter. She walked over with a laugh.

"I can't believe you men were so silly in buying a woman at that price! You do realize it's just one date right? Anyway, how is the phrik treating you?" Pearly, pearly whites.

"Future plans, future plans." Damien said as he poured himself a drink and sipped at the dark bourbon, "Any more alloys for sale? We may have to go in to business together." This was actually true, he could hire the woman and keep her as an emissary for M & M (Metals and Minerals), a subsidy of JAC. She would be paid beyond top dollar, as well as gain immense work crews and gear.

"Not currently, I'm currently undergoing a massive expedition however, before my current boss gets upset for it taking so long. I'm not allowed to tell you exactly what that entails, since I might not be paid if any of the work gets connected to his cartel... and that would be really, bad, because it's for an enormous amount of money. As for working together, it is a possibility. Though I'm not sure credits are what I need currently. I need people. Hunting guarded materials is difficult to do alone, I learned that on my first day." She tossed the ideas around in her head. So let's see, this would be the third person trying to recruit her for employment? Popo obviously succeed, and now Damien, and then there was a mysterious other found on Annaj. Looks like her advertisement bargain at The Wheel worked, Popo was doing good spreading around all her rep.

"Now, what I really came over here for was not business, though I appreciate the enthusiasm! What I really what is to see your oh so glorious prize! Just a look-see and maybe a short talk n' go/meet n' greet. That's all, then she's alllll yours... all 2.5 million C's of her." She couldn't help but smile at her genius.

"Well i have yet to find myself laying claim to that victory, and then even if I am its for a friend anyway. I will simply meet her, and let her know of my intentions. So, yeah. Again I dont even know if I won though. They usually announce these things." Daemos said with a shrug. Downing his drink he reached to pour another, gesturing to the woman if she wanted some.
