Invasion Battle of O'reen (Invasion Rep vs. Fringe)

Bridge Epsilon
Objective - Break the Line

Tallia's troops approached the first bridge at full speed. Dust blew up behind them as they traversed the rocky plateaus of O'reen.

"The bridge seems clear," She called. "Wait.. no.. oh kark!" The end of the bridge was currently blocked off by, she hoped her eyes weren't deceiving her, a Huttese Sith. His Hutt armor glinted in the pale sunlight, and his red blade shined menacingly, daring her to come closer.

"Open fire on that Sith!" She ordered. "Prepare to break ranks when we get close. Your lance won't work very well against him, better to use your laser cannons to distract while I get in close." By the time she finished they were nearly upon him, and soldiers began to fire their guns on @[member="Rasho the Hutt"]'s position.

With a silent nod the Zabrak clicked on a button sending a message to two allies awaiting targerts. ::mad:[member="Darth Arcis"], @[member="Darth Vornskr"] marking a target for you on my HUD, Mandalorian by the looks of it. Thought Vornskr might enjoy that.:: Turning back to his opponent the Zabrak saluted him with his blade before moving back into an well balanced Soresu stance, shield forward and sword slightly to his right.

Closing off his mind again the Zabrak breathed out all other thoughts, and emotions as Jedi Master Wraith had taught him, clearing his mind of clutter he nodded to the Jedi."At your ready, Jedi."

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
BETWEEN BRIDGES
@[member="Lucien Cordel"]

Saki felt it like a heat and then a cold on her body, where the armorweave robe covered the blade was burning into while she slid down to the ground and her grunt came out. The sensation wasn't new to her while she worked in her mind to not close it up but block the pain. No need for a sensation like that just yet to appear when they were in the middle of a fight. Her body working to protect itself while slowly battlemind and crucitorn took effect. Disengaging a bit as under her chin the blade bit in leaving a slice along her jaw. The glare from her eyes if looks could kill or harm would have flayed him alive. The energies of that thrill, that loop between them were there while her body moved.

Letting the force guide it more like a wrecking ball, he was using Makashi which meant a few things to her... One great against sabers... she wasn't going to use her blade just yet, bad against force users and usually no where near as good against juyo or vaapad. They could attack with to many strike as the sleeves of the robe were gathered up a little. into her grip as an exhale of breath came. The creature the form was named after could strike more times in a fraction of a second then she could hope to do at the same speed but even a forth of a hundred attacks could be dangerous with the right speed as it came. Her hands flying out with the protective robe to take a couple of saber strikes. The force feeding into and out of her as each impact was with force enhanced strength to break bones. Her strikes attempting to damage his arms, his shoulder his ribs near the heart and anything in between.

OBJECTIVE: HOLD WALK THE LINE

The tiniest brass-bikini was replaced by the tiniest uniform of light armor. Dainty feet perched on the hutt's shoulder, shimmering wings folded against her body. Fiery molten gaze followed the hutt's line of sight. The slave wistie was no stranger to these that spouted off truth and freedom. If they had actually been those people, she wouldn't be at the hutt's side at this moment.

Such was the fate they had written.

Evangeline was still team Hutt. And now, team Fringe. She prepared to back her master up.

Wings fluttered and she burst away from Rasho's shoulder and the potential of enemy fire, form flickering as she began to glow, a small and almost invisible streak of light in the day-lit air. Her body would burn anything it touched and she didn't hesitate to fly up and down on a trajectory path with Talia's eyes.

When blaster bolts came from behind and slammed into the armored backs of the troopers, the two commandos struck staggered forward, the RSFU Operator armor taking most of the damage, but still burning though enough to inflict pain. If they'd seen who it was they'd be mortified that a mouse droid posed more of a threat than the so called super soldier with family issues.

The slugs of Rolland's weapon struck the Mark III GUNINR Armor with a ping as Dish looked at the Czar with a quizzical look underneath his visor. While the writer of Dish would've kindly backed away if asked, at this point, the anger issue prone Czar could shove that up his ass. Tholm turned with two commandos an laid down fire on the small source of blaster

As Jerrick charged Dish, he fired of a blast from the plasma cannon at the charging Czar, but fast was fast, the son of a queen was good at that, Dish would give him credit. Oh well, Dish was fast to. Ducking low under the spin kick and surging forward, ramming his shoulder into the gut of the opposing soldier. Heh, that was ironic. The two commandos at his back also dropped to a crouch and began spraying laser into the wooded area, hoping to suppress the tiny instrument of hell itself.

Ashin touched the catch of her cloak and it fell away; the wind caught it and sent it off the edge of the bridge. Beneath, she wore gleaming red scale armor, made from the skin of an Eol Sha Fireworm. An alchemical long knife found her free hand as Diana made her move against Ashin's left leg, which was the forward leg of the low stance she'd been holding throughout the conversation. That was Diana's rightmost sabre; the other came in as a horizontal slash.

Ashin stepped forward to meet the Jedi blademaster's blindingly fast charge head-on. It was no ordinary step, quick though it was. Hips square to the front, head level throughout, back foot arcing in to brush the other before moving out again to set Ashin into a symmetrical stance, as if riding. That made her left leg more accessible for her short blade's defense, and Diana's right blade ran into a low long-knife block. The other strike slammed into Winterlight just above the crossguard, as Ashin brought up the long sword vertical between them, arm across her own chest. The dried blood of Masters hissed into smoke. The combined force of the blows jolted her to the right, but that symmetrical stance, weight balanced, feet parallel, let her take that particular impact without a significant budge.

Her left foot shifted back, her feet twisted, and momentum that began at the ground whipped Winterlight out, then in again for a strike at Diana's left side by the ribs. Her long knife's serrations threw the Jedi Master's right blade clear, at least for a moment. The short blade levelled itself at Diana's chest, and a bolt of lightning lanced out, a throwaway strike without much commitment to it -- the sort of thing a Dark Lord could conjure and forget at a moment's notice or opportunity.

The galaxy's most intelligent being arrived to the back of Bridge Zeta, admittedly late to the party. One of the contaminants in his laboratory had appeared to have gotten loose and he didn't want to unleash a plague for no reason so he spent some time cleaning up the mess, and causing him to be late for the big day. That was the last time he dealt with bacteria from acquired from a one-eyed squib who claimed to be a confederate scientist. He had hoped that his product would be worth the shenanigans of his 'disguise', but they had been hassle than they were worth. In any case he was here now to support his former Empress in the fight against the Jedi Inquisition, a pair of young females by the look. One looked awfully familiar, but he didn't recall meeting a woman with that skill level. She'd likely not recognize him as for once he used no alchemical tricks to hide his face, today he was Warren Valik proud to kill and butcher in the name of the Fringe. Or at least do as much evil as Ashin would let him get away with. He'd hope for some new test subjects, but he supposed that was optimism speaking.

He spotted the two come forward, each lunging a saber at one of the two Fringe 'Queens'. He tried to move to intercept, but, well, he was a skinny man without much athletic ability, and his armor was quite encumbering at 20 kilos. Or perhaps he was just a wimp, and 20 kilos wasn't that bad. In either case, like a turtle, he moved forward to the battle. He'd get them next post.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak took one of his hands off his rifle, so he could gesture appropriately. "And what, Josh? You control me? No, man, no."

Geez, you'd think he'd decided to not blow up the Death Star.

"I'm not trying to backstab my friend. I'm trying to do my job. Something right for once. Josh - I'm sorry. You could let me punch you in the face, and then I'd walk away. But I have to do my job here. I'm really sorry, man."

He held his rifle with both hands, and slowly, hesitantly, brought it to chest level.

"I can't for the life of me see any way out of this."

"Fly with me, Evangeline," he rumbled.

Not even a master of Vaapad such as Rasho could stand against concentrated laser cannon fire from thirty speeder bikes. And thus, he went elsewhere.

Up.

The Force enhanced his muscles, especially the massive muscle that served all Hutts as a 'foot' of sorts. But a Master-level Force leap was as much about the idea of the boost as it was about making one's muscles stronger -- it was about telekinesis, to be blunt. It was about Sokan principles. It was about Mastery.

Laser fire tracked him up to the limits of the cannon's inclination, but he was over that angle in a heartbeat, leaving the Republic cavalry to trade fire with the heavily fortified Fringe position -- or scramble for their sidearms. Several hundred pounds of heavily armored Hutt slammed into the center of the speeder bike formation pretty fething hard. A shockwave rippled out, a Force push in all directions. Speeder bikes and their riders slammed against each other with bone-pulverizing force, or were thrown off the bridge entirely. A majority of the force remained, in combat conversation with the Fringe hardpoint at the end of Bridge Epsilon, but Rasho had made himself a place wherein to stand.

The lightstaff spun, and a stray blaster bolt smashed through the forehead of a nearby soldier. Rasho slid sideways, exposing a crushed speeder bike and the remains of its rider. Rasho's red eyes never blinked as he stared Talia down.

"Boo."

"I don't WANT to control you!" the Jedi Master said, shaking his head as he paced around, never keeping his eyes off of his friend, and the gun he had trained at him. "I want you to take control of your own life for once, and do what's best for YOU. Not what some faction wants you to do. Do what your heart tells you, Jak"

He sighed. It wasn't likely he was going to convince Jak to leave. He wished it was otherwise.

"Do what your heart says, Jak. I'll accept it, either way. Just remember that I won't hold back if you attack me"

Diving behind a piece of cover Rolland loaded up his shotgun and fired a few more rounds at the commandos and the ARC trooper. He needed to keep putting down some fire until this was over. But with the new arrival of the troopers this changed nothing between Rolland and Jerrick, he would continue this with him as soon as the threat was out of the way. Looking over to Jerrick his heart still burned with the hatred that he felt for his betrayal against him. Taking aim rolland took fire at the troopers, he wished he still had his IAS, it was only a few meters away and he could grab. He would do it soon, it would be needed to fight Jerrick @[member="JerrickShado"] @ARC-007 Dish

Dodging the gut hit by flipping over the ARC, he turned around. "This isn't your fight ARC. Nor are you mine."Jerrick backed off and charged Rolland. All in all it was confusing...a damn droid the size of a mouse was attacking ARCs who in returned had attacked the two Czars. Jerrick didn't know what to think in all this CHAOS that was the galaxy now.

"Rolland, this doesn't have to continue. Pretty sure I just showed my loyalty by attacking the ARCs. My loyalties lay in my friends not the Fringe, or the Empire. Why is this so angerful for you? Would you kill a friend because of orders? Or would you think for yourself, and do what's right?" He tried reasoning again with the man. He didn't want to fight him, didn't want to hurt him. "Rolland lol around us, someone's got to stop this chaos!" He continued. He truly was tired of fighting, not physically, no he could keep this up all day, but mentally, it was taking its toll on him. "No more fighting, pain, God damn tears Rolland!! " He nearly broke into song again as he had in the BlackStar on a mission with Rowland so long ago.

He later his weapons down, and removed his helmet. "I'm done. Kill me, I'm done." He said looking at Rolland. The ARCs were having a hard time with the Mouse Droid. It would make him laugh if not for the situation. @[member="Rolland CZ M1 002"] @[member="ARC-052 Dish"] @[member="MSE-007"]

The sustained blasterfire was more than enough to drive MSE away, his repulsorlifts accelerating his switchback course to safety. The Czars would have to handle this on their own.

It certainly wasn't because MSE possessed a sense of fairness.

Dish growled, and looked up, just in time to see a Republic bomber spiraling out of control, then slamming into the ground before him, throwing him back and away from the Czar's while Tholm took a burst in his chest before being thrown back. Feth. The commandos that had been suppressing Rolland darted towards the downed ARC while the two others kept firing until the spawn of hell sped away. That was definitely going down in Alpha's history as a more interesting moment. The Czar's could finish up, it was their fight now, then he'd finish it. Or something.

The Shi'ido was pleased to see that her onslaught had scored her a hit, a small wound appearing on the back of the Overlords neck. Proves he's not invincible at least, she thought, wiping the sweat from her brow. Only a few of the Yuuzhan Vong's goons remained, with the Grutchin in the sky and the remaining warriors on the ground, Rasu could almost see the end, but she could not let her guard drop now. Knowing Dredge, these wouldn't be the only tools at his disposal, the Shi'ido couldn't understand though why they hadn't been put on the field. Or maybe this truly was all that the overlord had brought to O'reen, not expecting such a strong show of resistance from the Republic and it's allies, who knew?

Her focus returned to the Overlord as he broke out into a run, his amphistaffs hissing as they crashed onto the green and yellow blades of the Jedi's. While holding the lock, Rasu caught sight of the other Vong warriors heading in the direction of Yinch, to attack him while they were down. The Shi'ido hoped her student knew that the Vong armor was resistant to the attacks of lightsabers, leaving only small slits in the plating as weak points for the force-immune creatures. Placing her faith in her apprentice she turned back to Dredge, who had by now broken their clash and had begun dealing blow after blow upon the woman, each time the staff tried to bite her, it's fangs dripping deadly venom. Rasu tried her best to catch each swing on her lightsaber, avoiding the risk of being bitten as the ferocity of the Overlord increased with each strike.

"Ahhh!" she grimaced as the fang of the amphistaff passed over her left arm, drawing blood. Panic filled her mind, knowing that the poison would already be entering her bloodstream. She would have to act quickly if she wanted to expel the poison from her body. Picking up the dead bodies of Vong and Republic soldiers alike through the Force, she flung them at the Overlord, giving her a precious few seconds to act upon her fresh wound. Drawing on the Force, she cut of the section of her blood that had been infected and began to disrupt the flow of it, causing it to flow back to the opening in her skin. Pain shot through her as the unnatural phenomenon occurred. It felt like her body was on fire, the venom reeking havoc on the infected section. However relief washed through her, a red bubble of fluid grew out of the cut in her arm, growing in size until a red orb floating in mid-air. With the venom extracted, Rasu had saved herself hours of excruciating pain, hours that could be better spent stopping the Supreme Overlord. Letting the bubble of her blood drop to the ground, she ran back to the face of Dredge, blood trickling down her arm from the open wound. Bringing one of her sabers into the grasp of the whip, she entwined it around the sizzling sword, and brought her second weapon in a horizontal line, attempting to slice through the Vong's vulnerable neck, decapitating the Overlord.

Doc was going to say something, but he was thrown off his feet by an explosion. Rolling over on his armor, he slammed onto his shoulder, and then scrambled to his feet to meet this new threat. So, he was up against a dragon, and an M2 Bolter wielding opponent. Great. He dropped his M45, and removed his trench knife. He slipped on the matching pair of knuckle dusters in his left, matching the trench knife's duster-guard. He curled his fingers in and out, and then ran towards her. Hopefully, she was the honorable type and would engage in hand to hand. And he doubted, since she was riding on the dragon, that big scaly monster wouldn't risk burning her too, so sticking close was his priority.

"Come on sweetheart! Bring it!" He roared behind his helmet, the bottom-half of the skull that was painted on his helmet seeming to twist into a grin.

Sarianna continued to sense the battlefield as she stood there and continued to think about where to send the troopers. Her face frowning but not from bewilderment but from concentration while the troopers were talking about the directions and battlefield. Not the best use of her skills but not going to argue. "Have the troopers form up and engage with armor at long range. Then break formation down the middle and divide to draw them in while prioritizing targets and taking them out. Begin with the commanders first and then focus on the soldiers. We are not going to murder them, if they surrender see to it they are taken care of. Understood?" The troopers gave a nod as the orders were relaid and her hands went to the table before speaking again. "And see if we can get a channel to hail the Fringe commander. I am not going to shed blood unneeded upon the sand."

The amount of power surrounding the Czar at that point was intense. A battle wasn't even official yet, but he knew himself outclassed even with his augmentations. So following the Master of Darkness' example, save fleeing more rather than seeking a separate opponent, Varanin leapt over the edge and onto one of the support beams.

Moving swiftly, the Empress Clone did not worry about his balance, for with his Martial Arts abilities came a well tested physical prowess. Foot after foot brought him closer to the Jedi LZ.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
He watched Josh pace and rant. He could very easily feel his friend's pain. It mirrored his own.

"Tell ya what," he said, retracting his helmet, "Let me bop you in the face, then you fall over. I'll say I downed a Jedi Master, and I won't be lying. Then I'll just get the frak out of here."

That seemed like the best idea to him.

Lucien smiled a little as his saber met flesh. The Jedi Moved back and so did he, she had fire in her eyes. Normally getting a Jedi to this stage of hatred would be a benefit, but this woman was not a conventional Jedi her hatred only made her more aggressive and Lucien was having a hard enough time as it was.He reaffirmed his stance, side on blade Level his left hand resting on the small of his back, he did wish this woman would draw her saber.

Saki began to Pummel Lucien. his arms shoulder and hip was all that faced her. She would need to extend further to hit anything else. Lucien back peddled whilst aiming to stop some of her strikes from landing. His blade smashed against armour weave her hits also smashed against armour weave, It didn't help much. He was coming off worse in this situation he could feel bruises developing on his body. He needed to change tack. He expected hits like these were so fast that once committed to stopping took time, it was on this assumption that he would act. He brought his left foot round, he was now facing forward, then he brought his right foot around he was once more side on his back facing Saki. Then one last pivot on the toes of his right foot flipped him around. As he turned he extended his arm aiming to strike the Jedi's back. He moved quickly Makashi was a form heavily supported by footwork. He had no expectation of causing real damage. His arm was throbbing so his strike was mainly the result of the spins momentum. Having spun he took several steps back and launched a quick burst of Lightning at the Jedi.
