Big Bad Announcement

Probably wouldn't be able to survive a challenge from one of the Force-Using Sith. Even an Apprentice would be capable of killing off such a person, so they would need to have the full support of some strong Sith to ensure that they kept their throne. If they somehow managed to obtain it.

Also the sith would go nuts
If it were the right choice, I'd support it. I could care less whether they're a Force User or a Non-Force User. Whoever will best serve the Faction. I care not whether they're a Knight, a Master or an Non-FS. We still have a war to fight, and an Empire to maintain. That goes on regardless of who is on the Throne.

Spencer is my first choice. I've read a few of her posts and she seems like a well rounded character. In my opinion of course.

Well yes, but I was considering the IC reaction. Simply because we are all in agreement in the OCC, there would be a far more difficult time IC that we would have to sift through. To be perfectly honest, whoever can hold the position and hold it well is whom I'm going to vote for, regardless of how much Voracitos is going to hate it, and oppose it... or support it, who knows.

Single combat wouldn't matter if you have an entire navy it army on your side. You just BDZ your challenger from orbit. Anyway, I'm cool with any iof the current nominations ooc. And IC... we'll see. mercurialness!!

Also, congrats Ashin on the pregnancy!!!

I'd vote for Spencer, and I could even help advise Spencer in her leadership role. My job description is working the day-to-day operations of the entire Empire, I'm sure my advise would be very beneficial.

Now, I want something to be very clear. Simply because the first people online today were people who favor certain candidates, I don't want anyone to jump on bandwagons when it comes to voting time. There are several reasonable candidates that haven't been mentioned yet. Much as I like Spencer and Anaya, this cannot, CANNOT be an exercise in popularity or favoritism, as much as that's possible with an election.

There shouldn't be elections for Sith Emperor. Its an IC post held by whoever earns it through writing, story-lines, and work to actually gain it. Emperor/Empress is not a title gained through election, even on an OOC point it really shouldn't be. This takes away a precedent we already set, IE that the Emperor can be taken down by a series of threads and plots(as Ashin did with me).

Lets be honest, hardly any Emperors in history(Especially star wars history) were actually elected. Its silly to elect one ESPECIALLY when we already have an OOC leader(Apparatus) so its not like our faction is going to fall apart without an Emperor or Empress. In fact if Jon suddenly leaves with Ashin it would make an AMAZING RP about the power vacuum it creates.

Seriously guys, there shouldn't be elections for this post and i am 100% against it.

I will go further in depth as to why later when im not on my phone.

Voracitos would blow a gasgit! I think that would be pretty cool, not sure honestly how he would respond.

You know, other than trianing to literally eat everyone's souls so they stop destroy, erhem, his, Empire.

Like I said on Skype, an RP for a power vacuum would be interesting, but it would likely result in a lot of maimed or dead Sith - and that would create a serious power vacuum that would be filled by the Republic, when they take advantage of our decreased power and numbers. The Emperor serves the Empire, so it does not do to deplete our strength merely to gain power.

As noted before, any Emperor that gains a throne at the expense of the Empire is no Sith, nor likely to live long.

As I mentioned in my first post, there'll be a lot of RP'ing involved in this over the next couple of months, and some great stories. The precedent is being respected. Altered, but respected.

Tirdarius said what I would have about a power vacuum. Could make for wonderful stories, but it leads to us leaving the whole board without their villains, just as we're about to confront the Republic directly and give them the villains they really need. For the board as a whole, my opinion is that this isn't the best time for a power vacuum story, awesome as it would be.

However, that's just my opinion.

A power vacuum will be an option on the ballot.

So? Thats part of the fun of RP'ing. You don't use OOC knowledge to effect IC shit thats just bad form. Its about the story, and electing an Empress? Yeah not very Sith like. Perhaps if we were electing someone to Apparatus' post, yes. But not Empress which is a purely IN CHARACTER thing, as it was when i created it. Now if you want to vote on someone that Ashin grooms as a successor, fine, but it shouldn't be a sure thing.

That would be true, and dangerous.

However, I could see the remaining Dark Council Memebers who are still loyal to the Empire would seek to end the Sith Civil War, so then we wouldn't be lacking in leadership. There would still be the weakened state to deal with though.
