The foundations of the inner temple cracked and began to collapse, for Odium's detonation had destroyed much of the bulwark which held up the inner temple. A rumbling began like the sound of a thousand avalanches. Korr clapped his hands over his ears, forgetting for a moment the pain of his broken wrist, and screamed. Behind Ryan, toward the rear of the Great Hall, the walls simply fell inward. The ceiling began to cave in, dropping enormous pieces of marble and rock that shattered upon impact. A rock smashed near Ryan and cracked open, giving him a face full of stone shards that ripped open his face. The youth screamed louder, blooding welling beneath his fingers as he clutched at the wound. "NOT MY HOME!" He screamed. They'd taken everything from him. His friends, his father, his honor. And now he watched them take the only thing he had left. He screamed until his voice ran raw and ragged, the pain inside him ripping open a wound far more fatal than any physical blow. Korr got to his feet and staggered away from the Great Hall, fleeing, as the rest of the combatants fled, out onto the Temple Steps.
