Kay opened her eyes and removed her hand once Maddie spoke. She breathed a sigh of relief and then moved out of the way so that Hawk could be with her. That was a close call. She headed over to wear the amulet was thrown to and dropped her cloak on top of it. Hawk would have to pick it up, but he could do that later. For now he needed to look after Maddie.

Hawk gathered Maddie into his arms. "You are okay, sweetie." He says more to himself than to her. Maddie cried against his chest. She was reacting to his emotions. "Shhhh you are okay. It's all right."

He mouths the words thank you to Kay. Maddie stops crying and falls asleep in his arms. Poor thing was exhausted. Hawk stood up and carried her to her room. She needed to rest today. He lays her down in her bed. He tucks her in and places her favorite teddy bear next to her. He watches over her for awhile. Just relieved that she is still alive.

As Hawk put Maddie to bed, she walked back over to the kitchen and sat down at the table to resume her breakfast. The girl was very lucky. Lucky that they were there, lucky that the amulet didn't kill her and lucky that she gets to have a nap!

Maybe after breakfast she'll sleep. Kay just didn't want the food to go to waste. When Hawk returns she refrained from saying 'I told you so' yet again. Instead she commented, "Maybe you should nap with her. After you hide the amulet, that is."

He walks back into the kitchen. He deserved a told you so from Kay. She had been right. They need to get rid of the amulet. "Your right. We need to get rid of it. I could have lost her. I don't understand why it attacked her. She was no,threat." After all that happen, he had lost his appetite.

He sighs, "feel free to hang around or take a nap." He carefully grabs the amulet with Kay's cloak wrapped around it. He goes to his room and places it in the safe. The amulet glows red under the cloak. It wasn't happy.

She nodded, finishing up her meal and washing it down with the rest of her tea. "I still say that a black hole is best." But she knew that he was against that.

Kay got to her feet and put her dishes in the kitchen. As she hoped that he would nap with Maddie, she instead went over to the couch and got herself comfortable, curling up on one of the cushions. Despite the excitement, she still needed to sleep.

"No, we will travel to Mustafar and melt in the fiery pits of hell." He snarls. He was so anger at himself for being so foolish. He goes to laid down with his daughter.

She looked so peaceful sleeping there like an angel.

It wasn't surprising that he was angry, but for a Jedi he needed to control it a bit more. Yet he almost lost his daughter so it was understandable.

Kay closed her eyes and drifted of to sleep, listening to the sounds of nature coming through an open window. At last she was getting a bit of peace. It was a wonderful thing.
