She opened her eyes as instructed and let them go wide as she dropped her jaw open. "Wow....this is the most beautiful room that I have ever seen. You are so very lucky."

Kay stepped further inside and of course went right to the tea set, tracing her fingers on the cups and saucers. "Shall we have tea with breakfast?"

"Of course. We can." She picks up a little bell and rings it. She giggles as she waits. "Good help is so hard to find." She wriggles her nose. "Daddy's? We would like some tea."

Hawk really regrets getting her that bell. He knew he was spoiling her. "Yes, I will bring you some tea." The butler. He used to play the prince or king. He fixed them some tea and some pastry for breakfast. He made himself a strong cup of coffee.

Kay sat down in a little chair and yawned a bit before smiling at Maddie's remarks. "Oh yes, Your Majesty, good help is hard to find these days. I do hope that he makes my tea in the right temperature and with the right amount of flavour." She folded her hands on top of the table. "Do you like honey with your tea?"

Hawk overheard Kay's comment. He chuckles. "Good idea Kay, encourage her." He mutters under his breath. He fixes a tray with tea and pastries. He carries into Maddie room.

He pours them both a cup of tea and sets down a plate of food. "Enjoy." He says as he leaves the room to make his own breakfast.

"I prefer 3 cubes of sugar." Maddie felt like such a grown up. Having tea with Kay. It was fun. More fun than playing by herself. "Did he get it right?"

"Why thank you, Butler." She grinned and winked to Maddie and proceeded to have a sip of her tea to try it out. Pinkie finger extended, of course. "Yes, he made it perfectly. But three sugars, your Majesty? I think just two will do, for you are sweet enough as it is."

She sampled some of the pastries. "How does her Majesty spend her days? Do you go exploring or read some great adventure stories?"

"No, I must be sweeter." Maddie says plopping her sugar cubes in her tea, she dainty stir her tea with a spoon. She takes a sip. "I love exploring, art, dancing, and zoos."

Hawk goes into the kitchen to make fried eggs and bacons. He place a pound of bacon in the pan. He knew that Kay would want some.

Oh that tea would be super sweet. But kids can handle that easily enough. She had another sip of her tea. "Artwork? What kind of artwork do you do?"

Oh she could smell bacon. Her favourite food group. That would help wake her up.

"Mostly fingerpaint . I love fingerpainting. It is so much fun."' She finishes tea. "Bacon. Smells like daddy making breakfast. Let's go see." She was done playing princess for the moment.

Hawk turns the bacon over. He pour a little grease into a pan. He cracks a couple eggs . The coffee was finally done. He pours himself a cup.

Kay got to her feet, taking her tea with her as she wasn't done yet. She took Maddie's hand. "Fingerpainting is one of my favourite kinds of art. Let's follow our noses to the kitchen." She smiled once they approached, and eyed the large amount of bacon. "Well that's my portion. Where's yours?" Of course she was only teasing.

"Ha ha" he says as plates the bacon, eggs and toast. . He had made enough for everyone. He sets the platter down on the table. He takes a seat at the head of the table.

"You sit here Kay." Maddie placed Kay at the other end of the table with Maddie in the middle. "I only want bacon daddy. I ate breakfast with grandma." Hawk nods and puta a few pieces on her plate.

She took the seat that Maddie offered and then of course took a slice of bacon and began munching on it. It had been a long time since she was in someone's home, and in the Temple in general. But she wasn't about to get used to it either. This was just a visit. "Nice place that you have here. It's cozy."

"Thanks. It wasn't like this before Maddie. She the one that makes it a home." Maddie was oblivious to the grown up talking. She finishes her bacon and goes to watch cartoons.

Hawk watched Maddie toddle off. He loved her so much. "Being a dad has changed me so much. No more all night parties..bring girls homes. I'm more,stable now for the most part."

She nodded as she started on her eggs and toast. "You're more responsible now. Of course being with the Silver Jedi could be a part of that too." She had a sip of her tea to wash down her bite and then grinned. "Just wait until she starts dating."

"Bite your tongue. She is never dating." He says half way joking. The idea of Maddie's dating scared him. "Thank the force I won't have to worried about that for a few years."

He finishes his breakfast. The food helped pep him up a little.

Maddie was giggling over the cartoon. It was so funny. A glint of golden hit her eye. The amulet had fallen out of Hawk's jacket. "Oohs pretty." She says to herself. She goes to the amulet. The amulet was glowing red. She gently touches it. It was pretty like a Rudy. She screams and falls to the ground hardly breathing.

"Maddie!!"

Kay nearly dropped her tea as she heard the awful scream. She got to her feet and arrived by her side, no doubt right behind Hawk. Oh how she wanted to tell him that she told him so, but now wasn't the time. "Just lay her down flat! Check her pulse, keep her airway open!"

Hawk dropped everything and ran to Maddie. He force flung the amulet away from Maddie. Why..oh why had he brought it home! If Maddie died......he didn't even want to finish that thought.

He knees down next to Maddie. He lays her down flat. Her little chest moved up and down. "She breathing." Her pulse was weak. "Pulse isn't good." He tells Kay. His voice breaking a little.

She nodded and stroked Maddie's forehead. "Our pulses always go down when we are unconscious. I can try to bring her out of it, but I have to be careful as I don't want to hurt her. I'll have to nudge her slowly." Maybe this time he'll listen and destroy that stupid amulet.

"Please do whatever you need to do." He held onto Maddie's hand. Tears were running down his face. She was the center of his life. He couldn't lose her. It would destroy him.

She nodded and rested her hand on Maddie's forehead, closing her eyes and letting herself focus on the Force. It didn't take long before she gained the connection that she needed and ever so gently, she accessed the part of Maddie's brain that would bring her out of sleep and gave her little waves of energy. The little girl might slowly come out of it as if waking from a groggy sleep, assuming that what she did was working.

Hawk watched Maddie for any signs that she was coming out of it. "Come on baby wake up." Maddie's breathing improved with Kay's help. Her eyes fluttered open.

"Daddy?" Her voice croak. "Yes baby. I'm here."
