Lime-green eyes traveled to the Hylo. "Oh - not a thing but a person-ish!" She squinted a moment longer, committing his face to memory. She popped a yellow piece of candy into her mouth. Tasted like nuna-eggs, scrambled.

A mischievous-look glinted in her eyes even as she giggled at all that blue-powder. "You missed some," she helpfully pointed out, "on your nose." Leaning forward as if to help Micah out, she playfully shoved his shoulder, instead, with enough force to knock him off if he didn't do anything. She knew very well there was a giant pile of fluffy-leaves at the base of the tree.

"Why don't we just spar?" She called out.

Micah would wiggle his nose, much like a rabbit and give a matching impish grin at Elli. Granted, that was just prior to her pushing him back with the Force.

"Whoaaaa~!" he'd cry in surprise, both arms waving comically as he attempted to regain his balance. It didn't work quite well. So down he went, until suddenly FLOP!!!

A big pile of leaves went flying up as he crashed down onto the ground.

"Ow.." he'd say, but more out of a dramatic flair of false harm than a true injury. Leaves would rain down on the orange eyed lad, his hair a wild mess and now half in and half out a pile of leaves.

"Spar, eh?" oh that challenge would flare hot in his bright citrine eyes. "You got it Shutterfly," and with that, Micah went reaching out with one hand, summoning the Force to tug Elli down from her perch in a force pull.

[member="Micah Talith"]

The air whooshed out of her lungs as she felt the invisible tug and tipped sideways into a free-fall. Only thing was, her body wasn't falling to land next to Micah in the pile of leaves, she was aimed to fall right on top of him. An oomph mixed with a giggle left her throat as a geyser of orange, red, and yellow foliage erupted into the air from the landing of a second organic.

She quickly went to roll off Micah, and kicked a force-induced spray of leaves into his orange-eyed face.

The impish-grin never left her ethereal face even as she popped to her feet in ankle-deep leaves.

Hylo scrunched his face and looked at the girl, “I’ve never even held a laser sword until today,” he said finally. “But my sister said that the War Dance can become an armed fighting form as well if I put my mind to it.” He then looked up at the sky and thought about it for a moment. He wasn’t really sure how it could be used with a weapon. “So I think I might be really good,” Or really bad, but he was trying to impress his friend.

In a short motion he mimicked the girls salute matching her posture as best he can, “You’re great at swording! I’ve seen you. I want to learn!” He struck up what he thought was a good defensive pose.

[member="Ellifain Verrona"]

"OMPH!" well he was winded, the air whooshing from his lungs. Elli was small, but her elbow accidentally hit his solar plexus. That had him panting for air a bit.

Man dooooooooooown!

Okay, but only for a few seconds or this would be the shortest spar ever. And Micah was very competitive. With the pixie Ellifain bounding back with giggles and smelling like candy tossing leaves at him, Micah made his plan.

If he had learned something about his mother, is that sometimes one doesn't need to use the Force to make a win. In this case, with the shield of leaves tossed at him, Micah went to roll and then shot out from a crouching position to tackle Elli onto the pile of leaves.

Dad had told her once that some of the softer and more meditative unarmed styles could get downright vicious if you sped them up, so she nodded to hear Hylo say the same. "I'm betting you can put your war dance to good use," she said. "Just don't get crazy. Lightsabres are no joke. Whoever came up with the idea of giving them to kids our age was a moron. I mean, me, I can use one -- but there's hundreds of kids out there that just plain aren't ready for this crap. Then again," she said after a moment, "I figure they'd all be a whole lot less careful if they started with just sticks.

"Okay, first things first. A weapon's just an extension of your body. You're not aiming to hit my blade -- forget any holofilm you've seen. You're aiming to reach out and touch me. Pretty basic. For a standard Makashi lunge, just extend your arm and then sort of hop-stomp forward with your front foot, like this."

She got to demonstrating the basic maneuvers of fencing.

Hylo mimicked Mara performing the various moves as he was taught. Extension of his arm, and part of his body. His mind immediately went to his growing of trees. The lightsaber was nothing but a branch. He used this mentality and the thought of his arms being a branch to … erm… branch off into other moves. The basic movements of the war dance came to him as he darted back and forth. Soon he was no longer following Mara’s lead but instead performing an almost rhythmic dance. He would jump and tumble to stand up and throw a kick or a spin with a saber thrust added to it.

This went on for a minutes, Hylo dancing to the music in his head before he stopped and turned back to Mara. “Erm…” he said beaming a smile. “So… less movement… more hop-stomp?”

Hopping forward he let out a little thrust. “Like that right?”

Watching the others and mused at their fighting. I had learned to use various farmer's tools as weapons, so I wasn't going to jump at the first fight all gung hoe. I had a staff clipped to my back and a bag of candies in my hand. I'd rather watch than fight. Though if [member="Ibaris Varanin-Jacobs"] decided to jump into the mix - well then I'll let her take out some of her frustrations out on me. She deserved that much right? I continued to eat my candy happily in the corner, my back against a wall and my feet so casually crossed over the other. The tip of my boot pointed and flexed as I sang a song in my mind. My hair looked good today, no reason to mess it up.

Thinking about my hair I thought of my dad and cringed. Oh well, I may be a Mando's son, but fighting just ain't my thing. Don't go thinking I can't defend myself - again I remind those thinking that -Liam can't fight, he's just a pretty boy-. No, I can fight - I fight my own way. Coughing, I hack back another small candy and straight up. How embarrassing, hopefully no one noticed.

"I saw that, farmboy," she said with some nonchalance while watching the other members of the Pack go at it, "heard it too."

Hazel eyes shifted to glance sidelong at the boy she'd dragged away from Yavin IV to be her pilot, eyeing him carefully. After a moment or two, she turned to face him full-on and immediately spied the bag whose contents she was very attuned to. If there was one thing she had in common with her mama, it was that sweet tooth. Her eyes dragged from the bag of candies, and up to his face. A slow smile spread on her face, a sweet and slow smile.

"You gonna share, or what?" Ibaris took a step towards him. "It'd be a good idea if you did, because getting between a Jacobs and candy, Liam? It isn't bright."

She paused, posing a finger at her lips.

"Then again, you're not the shiniest bead in the bag, now are you?"

I stopped with one of the candies stuck between my lips. That voice it was so direct yet her smile was so sweet as she faced me. A side that I had really never seen from Ibaris, unless she wanted something and I knew exactly what she wanted. I sucked the candy into my mouth, chewed it and then swallowed it hard. A part of me was terrified of this sweet smile, mostly because I didn’t know what to expect. I could feel me getting sucked in by her girl charm, making me want to make her happy and all that stuff. Blue eyes scanned her face and then back at my candy bag – I worked hard for the credits that got these.

The other brain started to conquer as my arm reached out to offer her the back slowly. Internally I screamed at myself No! No! She says we’re sharing but she’ll just eat them all! Just as my arm almost made it all the way towards her, it snapped back and I clutched the back tightly against my body. “Why should I share? You’re always so mean to me. I’m smart! Just in different stuff” Frowning, I stuck my tongue out at her. “I’m not scared of you.” An idea stuck in my head, I decided to tease her while I had the slight upper hand.

I dug into the bag for the biggest piece of chocolate I could find. Sticking it into my mouth leaving a piece of it poking out I grinned and spoke through the candy and my smile. “Come get if ya want tet!”

"Eeeeeeep," the half gasp, half squeal left her shimmering lips as her back hit the pile of crackling leaves with orange-eyes on top. Face wavered between trying to take this seriously and splitting into a forever-grin. Hands were already wiggling beneath Micah and up to his sides, going for the ticklish spots.

If this was a fight with a real enemy, she would probably do something very different than tickling. Then again, maybe not. Almost everyone was ticklish. Almost.

And if that wasn't enough, mustering up the most serious face she could manage when she considered everything a game, she spoke to orange-eyes. "If you don't get off me right now," more tickling, "I am going to lick your face. I have cooties."

Tongue was already out.

[member="Ellifain Verrona"]

"HEY!" Micah would squirm, wiggling and laughing as he would shift on top of her to make a grab at her wrists. "Quit that!" he would mock scold her, impish humor reflecting in his bright orange eyes. A grunt and a half chuckled snort came as he made to try and pin her wrists to the ground.

"Heh, pinned ya!" he laughed in the face of the threat of a lick -- there it was!

The pink tip of her tongue would flick out as if ready to strike.

"Oh gross." he gave a half grimace as he drew his head away just in case the Fluttershy decided to slather him like a Nerf to a salt cube.

At this point, the only way to go was up. "That's pretty much it," she said with a grin, her earlier prickliness gone. Upside, or downside, of being an empath. "Look, I can work with you on this, but I totally recommend getting one of those Masters that just looooves lightsabres. I'm not qualified to teach, and there's nothing better than a good solid grounding in all the Forms so you know what you're doing when you pick one. That's what I had from a couple people. And there's a lot more options, too. The Forms were made hundreds or thousands of years ago, and combat styles change over just decades -- I know a lotta people made good solid fighting styles during the Dark Age. Poke around, see what you like most. Some of'em don't even focus on the lightsabre, more hand-to-hand and Force use." Like Warden stuff, but most of'em didn't know she was a Warden. "Like...Shapers of Kro Var and things."

And a swell of pride flowed through Hylo. Yup, bride. He pretty much got it, that was close to saying he’d done well. Crossing his arms and trying to play it cool he nodded his head in agreement with everything Mara was saying. She knew things, it was known. Talk of combat styles made him happy. He could find something that was just right for him, and then Mira suggested he find a master. “But I don’t want a master…” Hylo interrupted. A frown suddenly formed on his face and he sat down in a slow crash sticking his nose up into the air. “I don’t care to learn the other forms. I don’t want to know them. I just want to be like you. You’re so confident and cool! Everyone likes you. And you’re a great fighter and good with the force and pretty…” Did he just say that? Yes, yes he did. “I want to learn from you Mara...”

"Gnno, du ssstob," she blubbered, tongue still out. Impish look met one that matched her own. As he pulled back, she used that moment of his un-centered weight. With a twist of her hips and a pull of her wrist, she jerked up and to the left. The move would, hopefully, roll them both sideways with her ending up on top.

Tongue found its way back into her mouth. She shivered to think how many candies she would have to eat after licking him to get his taste out of her mouth. Then again, we were talking about candies here. The worst of it all was that she would probably have to resort to brushing her teeth too!

GASP - the horror!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the pinning went to plan, the pointy-eared girl would look down on the Talith with a triumphant look and stick a green-colored candy into his nose, "look who's pinned now, huh?"

Come and get it?

Lips became a thin line, eyes flicked from the bag of goodies to the holder's face. He wasn't scared of her? That sounded like a challenge itself, more than the taunt to come and take what she wanted. He didn't believe that she really did want to share? She shared with her mother and vice-versa, the sweet tooth of mother and daughter quite comparable, but if he wanted to play this game, then there was little choice.

"You're lucky I have a conscience, farmboy, or I would make this much worse for you than I'm intending to."

That slow smile grew into something with a bit of tooth.

"But I know how to not play fair," and she extended one long finger, clearly indicating the contested bag of sweets, then jerked her hand and forearm back towards herself, fingers curling into a fist. He would feel the irresistible pull from an invisible force - the Force - and would be able to do little to resist.

I thought I had her. I mean she was either going to have to give me what I wanted or stand there and pout in her ador--just pout like a baby. Getting under her skin and denying her what she wanted was always my favorite game, eventually I gave her what she was wanting and then things go back to normal. Today though [member="Ibaris Varanin-Jacobs"] became a cheater! Also what the heck were her parents thinking, giving her a long name like that, it messes up my internal monologues.

So yes, I thought I had her, I totally won right? Wrong. My eyebrow rose as she finished speaking and my lips sucked up the exposed end of the chocolate. Her arm extended and I quickly knew what she was doing. "Noooo Princess that's...cheating!!" My fingers did their best to hold on to the bag, I even tried to turn and run. Which just left me running in place like an idiot. Soon the bag wiggled free and flew towards her gracefully.

"Common! I can't do that. You're not--" wait she said already she wasn't going to play fair. Fine two can play that game. We weren't far from each other and with her pulling the bag it had also pulled me closer. Quickly doing my best not to telegraph what I was doing, my hand grabbed her shirt just at her neck line. Pulled her in and kissed her. My other hand trying to work the candy bag from her hands.

Shock. It was shock that stilled her for but a moment. In the next moment, her eyes went wide and she released the bag of sweets from her grasp. This was not what she expected at all. She had been ready for a good, bruising tumble, but not this, and she panicked. Thoughts and emotions swirled as she tried to think through the sudden haze to what she should do, and in the panic, her head settled on fear and a little anger... and she shoved him, bodily, as hard as she could with both hands when he was so close.

Then, with no hesitation and the surge of her panic and rising anger at him, she did to him at close range what was the opposite of the effect she'd put into play to bring the bag of candy into her grasp in the first place, one hand smacking hard into his chest as power blew out from her and acted on him as it should. Her breaths were quick and shallow, and upset was being painted across her face in each ensuing second. The hand dropped, and both hands curled into tight fists.

She was shaking.

I was as surprised as anyone that I actually pulled this off. Ibaris had nice lips, but she didn’t do anything so that was a bit of a let down. Kind of like kissing a pillow or something, was nice though. I liked it. What I didn’t like was what happened next. I was pretty sure I was going to get a hard kick to the nuts and her screaming at me. Something else happened though. Her hands let go of the candy, which mine promptly snatched, but she pushed me away. Blinking, I was confused at what had happened and then it came. I was reminded quickly of the Force as it slammed into my chest from her hand and sent me flying into the ground.

My back hit the ground once the momentum of the push stopped me from being airborne. Pops and cracks echoed in my head as I hit the ground hard and slid away a bit. Everything hurt and I quickly questioned myself was it worth it. It was and I was given a lot to think about once I forget about all the pain my entire body felt. I stupidly tightened up when she hit me, I probably would have been a bit better off if I had relaxed. Laying there I was able to gather some thoughts, but my head was woozy and my vision a bit blurry. I still had the candy bag in my hand, but it seemed obsolete at the moment.

Sitting up, my hand touched my head and then the back of my head which had hit the ground first. There was a lump and a little bit of blood, but I’d survive. Looking up though, I stared at Ibaris who was madder than I had ever seen her. I took it all in and all I could mutter out was an apology.

“I-Ibaris...I’m sorry…” I apologized, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it...which made me feel worse. [member="Ibaris Varanin-Jacobs"]

She had options. She always had options, options that her parents had equipped her with. She stood in that spot, saying nothing, but shaking and seething as her body and mind worked through the torrent of emotions she felt then. Looking at him, still feeling the effect of his... his lips against hers and the collar pressing into her neck, she felt angry and wanted to do more than what she had just done; fear that she'd done it, that he'd made it at all necessary; embarrassment, and more besides.

Tears began to well up at the corners of her eyes when the muttered apology came, and she looked on him, eyes alight with that fire of the storm within her as she shook, as her short nails dug into her palms so hard it hurt; she would push down this storm, she had to. She wasn't done with him yet. The first tear rolled down her cheek and fell to the earth below; her eyes squeezed shut as if she were trying to will the tears away. She focused on him, focused on his mind, focused hard and forced her way in.

Don't you ever, and even this 'voice' carried the sheer upset she felt... and the fear too, ever do such a thing without asking!

Then she pulled back, pulled out, turned heel and walked away, tugging a hood up over her head to shadow her eyes and the tears that still came unbidden.
