Intent: To flesh out a wookiee stub(compare to Cap Drains) as well as put a new ‘weapon’ on the market.
Development Thread: If Necessary
Manufacturer: Blas-Tech Industries
Model: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Analysis_grid
Affiliation: The Customer
Modularity: Yes, if customers provide different materials can be constructed out of something more durable. Can also be altered to analyze different things rather than just organics, though such would require special orders and a different submission.
Production: Minor
Material: Standard Materials
Description:
The BTI-AG “Sleuth” is a modern design of old technology, specifically the Analysis Grid. When fired the Sleuth produces a constant beam, which scans and causes pain to any it might pass through by messing with the targets neural systems. The pain is roughly equivalent to being shot by a normal blaster every five seconds, and can be mitigated by blaster-resistant armor. While inflicting less harmful pain is nice for torture enthusiasts everywhere the primary function of the Sleuth is not to damage, but to analyze. When the beam hits an individual it analyzes them biologically and presents information about them. This effect is not instantaneous, but can provide oodles of useful information, such as possible fighting tendencies based on muscular mass and distribution, whether or not one’s opponent has any uncommon skills, such as Zeltron Pheromones, Zelosian Photosynthesis, Subspecies of Gand not needing to breath, Clawdite shapeshifting, etc(which notably can be used to detect HRD's), and even medical health. Each packet of information takes roughly 4 seconds of concentrated fire to obtain, with customers having the ability to prioritize which information they wish to obtain.

The information itself is, by default, displayed on the Sleuth itself, though it can also be rigged to send the information to a datapad, broadcast it audibly through comlink channels, or even hooked into the HUD’s of many helmets. Due to it’s basis in blaster technology the Sleuth can be deflected by a lightsaber, but due to the constant beam shot a deflector would have to consistently hold position. This does allow for redirection from a Jedi/Sith with proper knowledge of trigonometry, though such ability to re-direct is not common.
