But this endeavor should not just be under the Republic. But a galactic collective. Something like the UN, but no military power things like the security council. Just a forum for those to speak at. And working problems out.

That sort of requires people to...want to talk about problems and resolve them peacefully. Instead of indulging in good old fashioned gunboat diplomacy, imperialism, wars and all that.

-shrug- I dont think any planet is truly safe from dominions, someone will take it sooner or later, that is why i suggested a neutral compound over a planet itself where all groups could have a place to meet or even set up embassy like offices. Which was my plan originally anyways if you look at my faction, as representatives of other orders force wise like the Sith and Jedi would have a place on the council as advisers of their respective studies in the force. This could be extended to fit normal governments but i would need to find a new place to house my group and dont have the cash at the moment... a space station as just popped up would be cool.

The idea is highly appealing. There being one world where people could hash out their issues with words instead of swords.

Contruum seems a very good world to play host as Switzerland. They've always been a very neutral planet.

Hardly While we may have Jedi, our current member base is a giant Force-User, a droid pacifist and a...I forget the race name, I'm so sorry >.<, but they're a great writer ^.^

Our make-up/long term goal is basically Force Users and Non-Force Users who act as a neutral party during conflicts, and train in methods of defending themselves through Force practices as well as self-defense martial arts, in addition to minimal casualty defensive technology (whether that be a hand-held rifle that uses stun or pulsor technology, or something like advanced shield technologies).

Oh, I am aware of it. We would just be prepared to defend ourselves, with as little loss of life as possible, should someone wish to start something on the planet despite the neutral diplomatic setting we would offer. As for "no other factions", I'm currently in the Republic group only to discuss future RPs with them as to seek neutral dialogue and diplomatic awareness. The same could be done for any faction. ^.^

I can leave them now, without worry, if its a requirement for application.
