Campaign Ideas Etc

[member="Anija Ordo"] Personally i think we should launch a series of skirmishes, espionage actions, and a serious propoganda campaign to prepare their worlds for the reset and give us a baseline to start out rush attack. Turn the people to our side etc.

I'm amused that the only talk has been of skirmishes, doms, and invasions and basically points on a pixel map, even right at the onset of ideas of things for us to do... There's more to do and work with as a group than these things. They don't always have to be related to that map.

Things like Vilaz and his initiative or Anastasia's develop characters and are, to me, more pertinent to the characters usually than just 'go here, crank out X posts and get this planet'

I can agree with that, certainly. I'm always up for character development. We do still have [member="Arrbi Betna"]'s training thread with the new Weapon. Bes'brik if I recall. All of the threads should be linked to in a thread in this forum. Maybe some of both?

Im down for character dev and training and such, even after a decade of writing this guy he still has room to grow. Training would be something i would see us doing.

almost ten years of real world swordsmanship, stage fighting, historical longsword, and swordsmith apprentice/researcher for about 4 years now... Sometimes it's not what your character is, but how you write it... Your character can say they are a mega swordsman, but it doesn't mean you write it believably (though you may, I don't know ya).

It's something I like to show people how to do so they're not describing these AWESOME moves in RP and it's totally impractical... Like a flurry of blows after a big ole thrust... Bad idea, a thrust is *really* easy to block or dodge if the recipient is paying attention and has good reflexes, and then your post describing you awesome flurry of blows is.... Wasted.

Things like that, that honestly not even modern military training teaches you... Now, unarmed and gun combat, i'm not quite as good at. But armed melee I'm pretty adept at.

[member="Ijaat Akun"] Ahh thats cool, always good to use real life experience if able to. But remember its star wars and space magic, practical and real aren't as important as technical ability. As for Arumi he is more of a beserker fighter, lots of slashes and quick strikes.

[member="Ijaat Akun"] To tell the truth actually i wouldn't mind doing a training with you and learning some of the flaws of my writing style with him on swords. Ive only got a little fencing experience and its little more then basic thrust and parry

[member="Ijaat Akun"] - I'd be interested in learning...I had some stage-fighting (theatre major in college back in the dark ages), but I'm sorely lacking in writing combat properly. I'd be up for lessons...as would my other alt Mara who's a Jedi Knight. :)

[member="Arumi Zy"] - it is DAMN weird to see you as someone OTHER than David Draiman, dammit...it's just not right after so many freaking years :p

It will be tonight at the earliest I get a post made, sorry guys sick baby combined with my mothers bday dinner.

[member="Evi Sohl"] a decade as Draiman to be precise, now I wonder who you are lol
