I was planning on doing more stuff with my Space Dwarf character, I could have him find her downed transport and the two would have a chat.

I heard stories of soldiers from different sides coming upon each other in the trenches during WW1 raids and deciding rather than to get to the killing just have a chat and rest before the combat finds them again, it could have the same tense feel of being a respite among chaos yet probably ending up with one of them pulling a gun on the other.

Hullos folks! Easy to miss in such a thread so I thought I'd flag it up here but my char just sent an open message to anyone around the city asking for negotiations of some kind. The gist is she has a bunch of civies with her and they somehow may end up dead if someone attacks her or takes too long to respond. Casualties of being in a warzone after all... *darts eyes left and right*

So if any GA types would like to respond go for it! Jedi would be the best fit imo but anyone is free to respond, open coms after all!

If you're going to try and blame GA for bringing down a Star Destroyer in a war zone the question really is...why do benevolent humanitarians need a Star Destroyer?

Besides, the area around there is either the city (filled with FO troops and few civilians) or mountains filled with nothing but ice and Jesters.

Yeah, on this note, are there gonna be peace negotiations? Not to sound like a commie, or a hippie, but I think this conflict would be easily resolved if we all just talked it over.

Yes actually! Apparently someone from FO wants to sue for peace and contacted GA diplomatic division, at least those were the words used in our forum, so the talks of ceasefire will go underway soon as the conflict for now continues on the planet. A post about that was made on GA forums literally a second before you asked

I'm actually gonna come out to bat for the First Order here, so here goes, @Valiens Nataris.

The crucifixions as far as I know were a warning to the scumbags and criminals who went and captured First Order personnel trying to help them.

The stormtrooper arrival was in response to the Alliance's and local interference. They were deployed en mass to deter further attacks.

The human shields are regretable, but when out numbered and in hostile territory, a good soldier uses what he can to get by.

And finally, the Wrath was deployed in order to bring a quick end to the conflict in Santaissa, and secure the city as a First Order stronghold.

As a faction, and in our Dom, we tried to help these people. But the Alliance forced our hand.

This so spot on with what the First Order was going for, then the GA had to just blow their load because "Muh good guys. Star destroyers are ebil" :^)

Regarding diplomatic talks, I will be talking to Natasi with my Sullustan peace nik politician, but given both the events that have occurred up to this point IC and his lack of ability to countermand military orders, I don't anticipate him being in time to stave off all out conflict if that's what the soldiers/fleeters on both sides are circling towards. I hope to have a Jaius post up tonight where he arrives in system, thus beginning the diplomatic aspect of the thread.
