Chance Encounter (Titan 27-5 Codename: "Atlas")

Kohai could only shake her head. "No, I don't..."

Keeping beside [member="Atlas"] , the engineer tried keeping an eye out for suspicious people, but most everybody was suspicious around here.

"So... stealing a ship?" Kohai was hardly a saint, but she had never outright stolen something, before. She wasn't so sure how she felt about it.

He moved with a purpose through the crowd towards the space port. He held out a ship's access key, which he retrieved from one of the men he had dispatched inside of the diner. Apparently, Atlas was a good pick-pocket. Another skill he didn't know he had. "It's not really stealing if you take it in a fight" He gave her the key "This belonged to one of the men that followed us. We should have about 10 minutes before their back-up arrives. Lets get to their ship and get out of here"

Well... if you look at it that way...

Kohai padded over to the loading ramp, snatching the access key as she went. "Okay, lets see..." She punched in a sequence, swiping the key with the other hand. With a thud, the ramp opened heavily. It was likely that she had dented the landing pad.

"Okay, in we go." She rushed up into the old ship.

Oh, wow... what a mess! There was junk spilled everywhere, and a terminal had been dissected in the corner.

He followed her on board the cluttered freighter. Based on the tatics that Atlas observed the previous occupants of the ship, they were not the rightful owners. Atlas deduced that they stole the vessel to avoid leaving a paper trail. Whoever was looking for him, really wanted to remain anonymous.

The engines roared to life as Kohai went to work firing up the junker. Atlas took the pilot's chair and within moments they had lifted off and were headed for orbit.

Though there encounter had been by chance, Atlas managed to make a friend........
