Change of heart

"Hold on now, Ha'rangir." he spoke to his Droid behind him, something he'd need if things got a little crazy. His hand glided to his helmet as he zoomed out from watching them start the board process with his he summoned his own Fighter from low atmosphere to start it's descent to pick him up if they attempt to flee, the rifle would raise to his shoulder as his Helmet targeting systems activated enhancing his already advanced scope, though he doesn't open fire on anyone he scans over the Ship, looking for any quick weaknesses he could fire upon to keep it grounded. Whenever he does fire his height atop the roof and the near silence of the weapon should be more than enough to conceal his position.

Hawk shakes his head. He didn’t recall Rehka giving her name when they met at the bar. He had ways to get that information and he planned on using them. At this moment he didn’t have time to continue flirting with her. Kay was right it was time to go.

He could sense that they were being watched. But who and why he did not know. “We are not alone.” He leans in close to Rekha to whisper in her ear. “Someone close is watching us.” Anyone watching would think that they kissing. “Be prepared.” He had to warned her. Rekha didn’t have the force like Kay and him.

Now Kay rolled her eyes as it appeared that [member="Hawk Solo"] was kissing [member="Rekha Kaarde"] . "Come on Hawk, let's go. Save it for your date when you get back." At least she assumed that they'd be going on a date.

Kay was the first to disappear up the ramp. Instead of going to Hawk's quarters, she headed over to the cockpit. Of course she didn't know how to fly but at least she might keep Hawk on schedule. Now she just had to wait for him.

[member="Atin Alo'ran"]

It took everything she had to not step back out of instinct. He was coming closer she lowered her voice and whispered, "if you touch me without my permission I'll break every bone in your body...that's a promise" He might take offense but he didn't know her history and what she had been through she wasn't going to explain it either but he had to know she valued her personal space. The ache in her leg reminded her of the beating she took.

She smiled letting everyone think whatever they would he was giving her a warning she nodded, she looked to the floor rather than the roofs. "Thank you...I'm girl scout I can handle it" She was actually a warden which was better than girl scout.

She had enough though and stepped away she still smiled, "Hawk....Kay is waiting. Now the question is if someone is watching...are they watching me...you or Kay?" She tilted her head. Once again her mind said I need answers.

Lila stood out on the deck looking towards the group, "CAPN time to go....that shipment aint gonna on us"

Rekha looked toward Lila, "I'm coming fire it up." She looked to Hawk "I've got a feeling this isn't the last time we'll see each other." She shook her head and started to walk towards Lila. "next port...next shipment." She walked slow if it was her she just made herself a target, alone and little to no cover.

Hawk arches an eyebrow at Rekha reaction. He hadn’t planned on touching her. Just wanted to give her a friendly warning. For some reason he felt the urge to protect her. But now he had other concerns. Rekha was right. Kay and himself could be targets.

“Safe travels.” He says Rekha. He waves to Lila than walk up the ramp to his ship. He seals the hatch securing the ship. He finds Kay in cockpit. “By the way, I don’t have space altimers. She never gave me her name”. He says to Kay as he sits in his captain chair. That woman was getting under his skin. “Let’s get off this rock. Be prepared for fight. Someone was Watching us. Any bounty on you? He asks Kay as he fires up the Kamikaze engines.

Atin shook his head, lowering the Blaster-Rifle as he waited for his ship to descend from Orbit before boarding it. Of course, he would've left the rooftops and moved some distance away before doing so.

Again Kay rolled her eyes as [member="Hawk Solo"] remarked about having not been given [member="Rekha Kaarde"] 's name. Oh you poor thing. Guess that'll be one of the great mysteries of the Galaxy for you then."

She buckled herself in, her jaw dropping slightly ashe asked her if she had any bounties on her head. "What? No!...At least not that I know of. Most people think I'm dead. Why does it have to be me?? What have you done lately?" She racked her brain to see if she could remember making anyone mad at her and there was none that she could think of.

"Maybe do a short jump. Or a series of them. Go in circles if you have to to lose them."

Hawk and Kay's ship was moving off Rekha stood in the same spot she had stopped in a few moments ago. Her mind worked through the problem she saw. She wasn't dead and no shots had been fired. She was standing still.

But she still didn't know who the unseen shooter was or why. Lila was standing there making all kinds of gestures that were meant to push Rekha towards the ship. She however had some other ideas about it all. She smiled, "I'll be back. Don't go no where"

"WHAT! NO no noNOOOOO...come here.." Rekha paid no attention to Lila as the poor girl headed into meltdown mode. Instead now she turned her gaze towards the roof tops. She saw no one.

She began walking towards the elevator that would take her to flight control. It wouldn't be until they doors opened at the top that there would be questions about what she wanted.

The doors were silent, a show of efficiency at least something worked well. She could still hear Lila screaming until she was high enough that the sound was gone. She looked up to the access door the one the maintenance crew used. OK Rekha time to get going. She jumped up and knocked the door open, easy access. A second jump and she caught the lip and pulled herself up.

Here the gears and wires pulled the car upwards, she looked up the hum of the engine filled her ears. She put the door back didn't want to get any raised eye brows. It was cold, she was cold. But it would be high enough that she could see. The car stopped just as she though right by the next access door that would lead outside. A gentle push and out, a gush of wind knocked her back some, brrrrrr.

Rubbing her arms as she stepped onto the maintanence balcony Rekha began looking around....so many ships. Where are you...you are out there.....my gut says so...but where...and who are you...and what is your target...her green eyes scanned waiting for something to draw her attention.

The Ship finally arrived, being an odd one at that. An ancient Mandolorian design, the Kom'rk had a unqiue feature where the wings would turn verticle when landing and Rekha could probably pick it out easily among the various other ships. The Red Armored Mando' was seen walking up the ramp, his Droid Ha'rangir following close behind him though before long the feline shaped machine head would turn, Atin would stop the walk up his ramp as the code flooded his visors alerting him to something--he didn't turn around though his hand undid the latch on his Blaster Pistol

"Ha'rangir," he spoke softly, issuing him a swift command "Hide." he simply stated, letting the Droid dart off the ship ramps and into the darkness that crowded the rooftop. He turned on his heel, hand on the blaster pistols grip as he began looking around himself.

It was bitter cold the winds were picking up she scanned from rooftop to rooftop until she caught sight of a ship. Rekha had not see this configuration she wasn't sure what it was. She could just make out someone walking a flash of red...was it armor?

Could be anyone really, red armor, what was it made of that would tell her something. But this told her something it wasn't in their minds that they felt someone...but he had not shot at them. She reached forward and grabbed the rail if he could see to where she stood he would know she wasn't holding a weapon.

She wasn't looking to shoot anyone, not today anyhow.

She spoke out loud to no one but the winds, "I'd like to talk...why?....nosiness for starters..curiosity about the bounty." She stood up letting go of the rail. If she stayed much longer she'd be a rekhacicle.

She stared at there not sure what to do really. She began to rub her arms yeah...she had to go back inside knowing next to nothing except yep they were right.

She stared at him or her at this range she couldn't tell. She shivered he knew what she looked like.

She slipped back through the door and headed to the flight deck.

Lila was there laying on the ground, "We're gonna DIE!!!"

Rekha shook her head, she was starting to thaw out.

The Warrior stepped down from the ships ramp, his hand tapping a few things on his wrist communicator, the ship itself closing up and remaining still at the landing dock turning sharply he picked up the pace quiet a bit as he moved towards the lift to lower himself to the Flight Deck. The wind was chilly, sure but the armor kept him warm, pressing the button the lift to send him downwards towards the landing docks again

"Great, just great.." he grumbled to himself with a sigh.

Meanwhile, The Warriors Droid Ha'rangir was also moving down to the ground floor, a-bit faster than the lift due to it's feline shape and equipment it found climbing extremely easy. It's tracker was locked onto the scent of Rekha, following the smell to her location, stalking from the shadows.

“Because it is alway you. I haven’t had any bounty on my head in along time” Finishing with the pre flight check list. It occurred to Hawk that Maddie was gone. She loved doing the check list.

The board was green.. For once everything was working. He flipped on the shields and warms up the weapons just in case they have to fight their way out of there.

Kamikaze lifts off the platform and heads off planet. “Strange no one is firing at us”. He had expected that they would be in a fight or flight by now what the heck happened not that he was complaining just curious.

Once they cleared the planet, the ship made the jump to hyperspace. It was only a small one to fool anyone tracking the ship. “Where are we going for this delivery of yours?” He asked Kay.

"Lila get off the ground get in the ship and stay there" Why did she do these things sometimes Rekha wondered if the girl wasn't touched in the head.

The twi'lek rolled over and looked at Rekha..."I want to see death coming" God she was such a drama queen, "you're gonna see death and it's name will be Rekha get in the ship before I shoot you"

She got up reluctantly, "Fine..fine....." she stopped, "Why?"

Rekha rolled her eyes, "Cause I said so, Im' the Captain, now git"

Rekha wasn't sure if [member="Atin Alo'ran"] would show but he could he might and she wanted to be sure she was the only one who saw him approach. The less eyes on the less explaining she had to do. Deep breath.

And wait..

Kay sighed and shook her head. Of course [member="Hawk Solo"] was right. She was usually the target. Usually unrightfully so. "...I haven't had a bounty on my in a long time either..." That didn't stop people from going after her though. These days people didn't need a bounty for that.

But as the Kamikazi was lifted in the air, she was just as surprised as Hawk was that no one gave chase. "Maybe they were after your crush?" Of course that might make him want to be the hero.

But they had work to do.

"We're going to Tatooine. It's a bit of a journey, but as long as no one is really after us, we'll be fine."

“Maybe.” He say agreeing with Kay. He turn his attention to the navicomputer. “Dust ball planet. Great. Just got the ship clean.” He jokes to Kay as he set course to Tatoonie. He programmed in a few mini jumps. Just case anyone was following them. Couldn’t be too careful.

A few minutes later they make the jump to hyperspace. “ I don’t know about you Kay but I’m hungry. I’m going heat up some stew and get some sleep. I haven’t slept well since...”. He trails off heading out of cockpit.

Kay smirked as [member="Hawk Solo"] made a bad joke. And it was a bad one. Absolutely horrible. "Oh I'll wash it afterwards if that'll make you feel better." Or rather she'd pay to get it washed.

The jump to hyperspace was made and she let out a breath of relief. So far so good. Unless there were gravity wells to stop them, they should reach Tatooine just fine.

Kay's eyes widened as Hawk left the cockpit. "Uh...yeah....sure..." She was not confident in her piloting skills. She wasn't like any of her children, or even her ex-husband for that matter. Kay could pilot a speedbike sure, but a ship? It was a much different story. So many buttons and controls, so many flashing lights. As long as alarms weren't sounding off, then that was a good thing.

But how long could she last there without the urge to make herself some tea?

The Lift finally reached the ground, Atin stepped out as the wind continued to blow his cloak wrapped around him he pressed forward his gear jingling and causing noise like a Wild West cowboy as he contiuned towards the landed ship--anyone paying attention could see him walking towards Rekha's ship though he kept his hands away from the blasters holstered onto his thighs as he approached.

His droid however had made it to the ground some time ago and was silently stalking Rekha and her small Twi'lek friend in the shadows, though anyone with the right sensors or a sharp eye could see it in the shadows. It didn't approach them though it waited for his Masters command.

Lila headed into the ship begrudgingly looking back and mumbling something about mother hen, big girl, and some other word that only another twi'lek would understand.

All around her folks began disappearing Rekha turned and looked ..red armor..this is..........him she crossed her arms and walked. She thought about sliding her hands into her pockets but that felt weird and might send the wrong message. No shooting, just talk.

She sighed but kept looking over the bounty hunter. She stopped when they were close enough to talk without yelling. "So the most obvious question is are you after me?" She smiled because when she was uncomfortable it was what she did. "If not me then the assumption is one of the other two. I got no qualms with that I don't know them, I don't owe them anything. I got real concern if its me"

If it was her then what would she do? And then the obvious questions of why, if he knew, and was the operation here compromised because of it.

Lila who never listened to Rekha was sitting at the top of the ramp listening.

After making something to eat, Hawk left the galley for Kay to clean. It was the least that she could do since he made supper. Well he called it supper ... it really wasn’t that good but it was hot and filling. He wandered around the ship fixing a few things but he grew sleepy and fell asleep on the cargo floor. He still didn’t want to sleep in his quarters. Well he couldn’t sleep there anyway. Kay was sleeping there. He could stay in Maddie’s work room but was ready.

He awakes a few hours later with a blanket draped on him. He smiles and slowly gets up. He puts the blanket in a chair ahead to the cockpit. They would be coming out of hyperspace in a few moments. He wraps his hand around control and pulls them back.

Tatoonie looms ahead of them. “We are here Kay.” He says through the ship com. He wasn’t sure where she was. “Now where.” He needed to know where to land. Their were a few spaceports on the planet. Personally, he favored Mos Eisley.

Kay wished that she had been allowed to cook, for she'd of done better. But [member="Hawk Solo"] needed the distraction so she had let him, much to the dismay of her stomach.

After eating she cleaned up the mess that he had left behind, moving quickly and listening for any warnings coming from the cockpit. She didn't like leaving it empty for long while they were travelling.

And then she heard the snoring.

Sneaking over she saw Hawk asleep on the floor. The Force knew that he needed it. Kay quietly went to his quarters and grabbed a blanket, taking it back to him so that he'd at least be comfortable.

Some time later she was in the refresher when Hawk's voice broke over the comms. She finished putting on her black and white make-up and then headed up to the cockpit to take a look. The desert world loomed ahead of them. No doubt she was going to need plenty of water. "Mos Eisley. Popular, I know, but what I need is there."
