"DUCHESS"
"Revenant Twelve"

"Striker One"
Revenant Squadron
Flight Officer Reima Vitalis
10th Sector Armada
Piloting: Jet-Black X-Wing Aether GS-01

Reima was puzzled.

In the fog of war it was not uncommon for people not to be on the same page, but Reima had never been in such a situation as this. After answering the signal from Thirdas Heavenshield Thirdas Heavenshield and Tulan Kor Tulan Kor , she was not certain that she could offer what they needed. She didn't have the capacity for cargo or passengers, after all. But then again, anything that could take passengers was currently being used to ferry civilians out of harm's way, so it was slim pickings. She agreed to help, if only to see what fresh hell would result.

But not only was she being asked to perform a fairly risky procedure in order to drop some Alliance personnel onto the enemy battlecruiser, but that maneuver -- if successful -- would place them directly in the crosshairs of her bombing run. With an incredulous sigh, she shook her head and then opened the channel to the men waiting below. "Commander Kor," she said in her clipped, butter-wouldn't-melt Galidraani accent. "Striker One approaching your coordinates. Prepare for -- well, not boarding, but whatever this is."

Reima maneuvered the Aether GS-01 through the air, hazy with smoke, flying lower as she got to the coordinates. She had half a mind to pop the canopy and look over to see just who was crazy enough to try this, but the Flight Officer decided it was probably best not to get too attached -- almost like making friends with a cow when you simply loved roast beef.

"Be advised, Commander: my orders are currently to bring that ship down, and I've got several thousand pounds of capital-ship grade ordnance with which to achieve that goal. I'm happy to drop you, but if my orders stand -- " She hesitated a moment, her dark eyes cutting to the side. " -- well, I hope you've got an escape route in mind is all." She stopped the throttle, letting the repulsors keep the ship hovering above the LZ.

"It's now or never, gentlemen," Reima called. "Let's go go go."

SENATE BUILDING // CORUSCANT
Ariana Du Couteau Ariana Du Couteau

qXu9Rp6.png

Aerarii Tithe plunged into the darkness. The few seconds of free fall into the gaping maw of the broken Senate building felt like an eternity. He let out a futile scream. Was this the end? He had always assumed credits would be his downfall. The irony of dying in the collapsing Senate building, a legislature he himself had corrupted, was not lost on him.

The Aargauun felt his body jerk as if an invisible hand wrapped around him and stopped his descent. Tithe exhaled with relief as he was slowly raised back toward the light. He may yet live to profit another day.

Ariana guided him back up to safety. The young woman looked exhausted by the exertion. Her Force powers were much stronger than he had anticipated, and if he stood a chance of escaping, now was the time to run…

No. While Tithe was greedy, at his heart he was a banker. In saving his life, Ariana had taken out an unspoken, binding loan with Tithe. He intended to repay his friend’s daughter in full before he incurred any interest.

“Now this revelation should hardly astonish you, my dear, but my focus was on the monetary machinations. I leave the military maneuvers to my esteemed colleagues who are far more, shall we say, versed in those arts,” Tithe explained, entering a string of codes into his comlink. “Luckily for you, I’ve deftly navigated through countless market crashes in my day, and I certainly don't intend to go down with this one either!”

Tithe hurried down a corridor, waving frantically for Ariana to follow. The pair scrambled over rumble and dodged falling debris as they worked their way toward the nearest exit.

They rounded a corner that should have led to another hallway and were instead greeted with the Coruscant skyline. This corner of the Senate building had completely collapsed, the hallway cut in half and open to the elements. TIE fighters screamed past in hot pursuit of Alliance starfighters, and in the distance, smoke could be seen rising from the New Jedi Temple. For a moment Tithe thought they were falling and gasped, only to realise that something was rising - a Dark Empire Star Destroyer, lifting off from the commercial development he had approved in return for illegal campaign donations.

Best not to mention that to Ariana.

He checked his comlink and pointed out into the chaos.

“And there is our market bailout.”

Tithe’s shuttle slowly eased its way toward the crumbling Senate rotunda, its droid auto pilot avoiding falling debris and enemy weapons fire, before coming to a sudden halt and extending its boarding ramp. The Aargauun cursed as the luxury star yacht pulled up short a hundred meters from where they stood, the autonav system claiming it was too dangerous to come closer and resisting all Tithe’s efforts to override it.

“Yes, well, this all went far more, ah, smoothly in my head,” he explained, looking to Ariana. “I don’t imagine you feel up to using your Force powers again?”

Darkstar was agile enough to dodge the razor-sharp projectile, diving into a roll beneath the crossbow bolt’s arc. Two of his squad members were less lucky. The hideous crunch of their visors cracking as the bolts pierced their skulls assaulted his ears. He kept low, changing positions behind the segments of solid cover between stretches of exposed guardrails.

Brax popped up on a section a few meters away to see the younger Jedi lobbing thermals. With near inhuman reflexes, the storm commando blasted the grenade out of the air with a single shot from his Firepuncher. The explosion was likely too far overhead to injure any of the boarding party, but the rain of smoke and shrapnel made perfect cover for Abraxas to retreat. His squad still numbered three, including himself, but he knew when he was outgunned.

Officer Rackham’s voice crackled through Brax’s helmet transmitter not a moment later, ordering a retreat from the hangar for all active forces. “We’re running?!” one of the scouts shouted, firing a round of shots behind him as he ran. “Unless you’d prefer to walk,” a cheeky trooper goaded. “We’re falling back to the bridge,” Abraxas snapped. “They’re here here to destroy the Predator, assassinate the Grand Admiral, or both.

The march across ship was equally frustrating as it was inspiring. Squads of stormtroopers and standard scouts were posted at nearly every bulkhead, blast door, and elevator station, a display of both the Empire’s strength and fragility; none of those troopers would survive a direct confrontation with a pair of Jedi and a GADF goon. “What’s the plan, sir?” a commando asked as they neared the head of the Predator. Brax grinned under his helmet. “We follow orders. We protect Grand Admiral Sularen at all costs. And we kill the Jedi.

Grax Tolwin (Ugnaught) - Communications Officer answers the incoming hail from the Hilltop.

Grax Tolwin: "Hilltop, this is Grax of the Trash Federation aboard the Scrap King. We've noticed you're moving the Ballarat. Our Fugu Frigates have tractor beams and can assist with the maneuver. Additionally, our Collector Crabs can create openings in the Predator's hull near the engines to provide you with better targeting. Do you need our assistance? Over."

As Grax waits for the Hilltop's response, the rest of the crew on the Scrap King stays engaged in their tasks.

Kip (Chadra-Fan) - Pilot is dodging debris and enemy fire with a manic grin.

Kip: "Hold steady, everyone! We're doing great." he shouts, his hands dancing over the controls.

Fizz (Squib) - Mechanic is monitoring the progress of the Collector Crabs.

Fizz: "Grax, if they give the go-ahead, I'll redirect the crabs to the engine points," he says, already adjusting the controls to prepare for the task.

Gibit (Ewok) - Weapons Specialist is remotely directing droids aboard the other Fugu ships.

Gibit: "Yub nub! Dey wanna blash da bad guys. Jus' gib me da wurd!" he says, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

Jek (Jawa) - Chief Supply Officer is munching on popcorn and watching the tactical displays.

Jek: "Utinni! Yustar orupanya wachunga?" he mutters, offering the popcorn around to his crewmates.

Zane Harlock (Queequeg) - Security Officer is leaning back in his chair, watching the chaos unfold on the screens with a broad grin. As a former pirate, he's excitedly scoping out the various battles, looking for any potential survivors he can 'save' and recruit.

Zane Harlock: "Look at all this action! Might be some lads out there worth saving," he says, his eyes scanning the screens eagerly.

The crew remains focused and ready, as they await the response from the Hilltop. The use of the same signature on all 20 ships serves as a decoy tactic, adding to their minor strategic advantage.

The crew remains focused and ready, as they await the response from the Hilltop.

"Feth..."

The thermal detonator shot out of the air shrouded the hangar with the cloud of the explosion, smoke rushing out to cover the troopers below. They were gone just as quickly. Turning tail and running? Jasper knew the prefered method of imperials like Sularen. Men were expendable. Overwhelm with numbers, losses are simply that. This spoke to something far different that he had prepared himself for, but wasn't sure of if it would ever come to be. The story had been that Jedi Master Jax Thio Jax Thio had lost his eye to an encounter with the supreme leader of the Final Dawn... It seemed that he was prepared to come to blows.

The hangar died down, and Jasper returned his lightsaber to his hip, giving a sigh. The invitation was clear: "Come to me." For better or for worse, the Sentinel of Harmony was one to take invitations when they came.

"Come on, Braze," he began, casually moving in the direction of the blast doors. He could see a lift in the distance now that the cloud that had been made by the bomb had been lifted. "I believe General Sularen is waiting for us. I'll leave cleaning up the rabble to you when we get up..."

Jasper removed his mask, tusking it away on his belt before drawing the Lux Ultima in preperation.

"I'll handle him."

"Feth..."
"Come on, Braze," "I believe General Sularen is waiting for us. I'll leave cleaning up the rabble to you when we get up..."
"I'll handle him."

Before Braze could respond to Pal Veda Pal Veda , the entire ship rocked violently, throwing him off balance. He stumbled, quickly regaining his footing, a devious little cackle escaping from beneath his mask. He recognized the cacophony of sounds: blaster fire, distant explosions, and the grining gnawing sounds.

He glanced towards Pal Veda Pal Veda , who was heading in the opposite direction. Deciding quickly, Braze dashed after Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el instead, knowing they needed to reach the bridge. Every step echoed through the metal corridors, the tension thick.

"Understood," Braze chirped, his voice filtered through his helmet's systems, projecting a confident tone.

As they ran, Braze tapped into his helmet's comms system. "Arsenal, Scrap King, do you read me?" he called out, hoping for a quick response.

"Reading you loud and clear," came Aether's calm voice through the static.

"We're getting in to position and getting ready for extraction if things go south," Grax of the Scrap King added, his tone gruff.

"We're making our way to the bridge now," Braze reported. "Stay on standby. We might need that unconventional pickup soon."

"Copy that,"
Aether replied. "We'll be ready. May the Force be with you both."

With his allies patched into the comms, Braze felt a sense of bolstering confidence bubble up. They had backup, and they had a plan. He and Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el continued their sprint, the bridge drawing closer with every step. The real battle was about to begin, and Braze knew he was exactly where he needed to be.

Braze followed suit, his own blade humming to life.

"We've got a pickup nearby if we need out... albeit a little less conventional." He chirped speaking to Jasper. As they sprinted through the long passages of the ship, Braze's eyes darted around, always alert. He knew that if Abraxas Colt Abraxas Colt was still skulking about, he could pose a significant threat, much more so than Castor E-196 Castor E-196 and the others who were effectively spaced. He had sharp reflexes and a sharp mind and that made him dangerous.

The ship's corridors were a maze of chaos: flickering lights, smoke, and the occasional unpleasant sight. Braze's training with Jonyna Si Jonyna Si had prepared him for such situations, honing his agility and endurance. A little jog wouldn't wind him.

The Commando fell, feeling his body begin to burn up as atmosphere friction ripped his shields away and begin to burn through the alloy shells of his RAMPART armour. The thermal gel layer held for now, but already warnings were all over his HUD that systems were beginning to fail. He would not last long.

Castor tried to reorient himself, using his ion thrusters to change his orientation. In the past few minutes he'd already 'landed' on broken chunks of Star Destroyers, which in turn began to fall into Coruscant's gravity well. Third time's the charm, they say, and he twisted around and fired the thrusters one last time- before slamming into the side of a disintegrating Alliance battleship.

The commando grabbed on, magnetic locks keeping him pinned to the giant piece of debris as he crawled along it, heading towards a hole in the superstructure of the ship. This one looked to be in better shape- if Castor calculated right, he and the ship would not vaporise once it entered the lower atmosphere.

A painstaking minute passed as Castor hauled himself towards, and finally into, the hole, just in time for the ship to begin burning up in the upper atmosphere, sending the first inklings of 'wind' blasting past the skin of the Alliance ship. Castor found himself in the innards of the battleship- all cables and struts and mechanisms, snug enough to fit himself in, though he did not wish to see any of these parts rip apart in the atmospheric descent and impale him.

The next few minutes were spent crawling inside the guts of the battleship even as it disintegrated and burnt up in the atmosphere. He'd finally found somewhere secure in the rear bulkhead of the corpse of the ship when the HUD indicated some semblance of air was beginning to fill the empty space of the ship- so now fire too was a concern.

This day keeps getting better and better...

Pew! The shot burned down the empty corridor and extinguished itself on the wall 20 meters away. “Oops . . .“ Beep boop! the astromech criticized him. “I expected bad guys, BB! Give me a break!” But this was a lucky break — not a soldier in sight. “Where the hell is everybody?” Beep boop! “Yeah, good point.“ Sularen was one of the highest valued targets in the Dark Empire’s Navy. The troops were rallying to protect their leader. “Keep those scanners going. We still don’t know for sure what’s going on.”

Veda leapt over the table and started down the hallway, carbine pointed straight ahead. He heard alarms in the distance and the continuous grinding noise of the crabs drilling into the side of the hull. The lights even flickered momentarily. Are they really taking down this behemoth? He could barely believe this could happen to a massive warship like this. By junkers no less. It’s always the people you least suspect.

Stay focused!
he reminded himself. “Picking up anything on those scanners?” Beep boop! ”I swear to Yoda, BB, if I round this corner and get shot, I’m coming back as a hydrospanner to disassemble you.” Beep boop! “Back at ya, droid.” He was starting to like this astromech, but that would change fast if it was reading the scan wrong.

Veda reached the T-shaped split and put the wall to his back, pointing the blaster down the right hallway. Nothing as far as he could see. He pulled the weapon closer to his body, barrel up, and peaked over his shoulder and around the corner. Nothing down the left hallway, either. This is almost spooky.

He started down the right passageway a few feet before realizing he was heading in the wrong direction, then quickly turned around to go the other way. Maybe he wouldn’t need those extra cartridges he picked up, after all. The ship rocked a bit as it continued sustaining exterior damage, but the superior artificial gravity system kept Veda stable.

As he approached the next T-shaped intersection, Veda maneuvered the same way as last time, clearing the right side, then the left. Except to his surprise — and thank the Force he wasn’t being lazy — there were two armed Imperials standing guard in the left passage. They were maybe 15 meters down the corridor. He was confident he could take both, but why risk it? “BB,“ he whispered, “pull the map up again. Let’s find an alternative path.” Thankfully the droid knew not to respond with his loud beeping noises and just did as he was told. Veda studied the map for a moment and quickly found a solution. “Follow me.”

The duo doubled back to a side door, and the astromech plugged into the switch and opened it. A storage room full of extra droid parts. “And you complain about me,” he smirked, looking at his rolling companion, “Look what the Imps do with you droids.” Whirrrrrl! “Alright, pipe down!” They navigated the rows of shelves until they arrived at the door on the other side. Veda took a deep breath as BB plugged into the lock. The door slid open, and the two Imperial solders on the other side both turned to face him. Zoop! Zoop! Two stun blasts in quick succession. Out like a light. Veda peaked out the door to make sure no one else was outside, then drug the bodies into the room. The astromech locked the door behind them as they headed back into the hallway.

”That’s it, right?” he asked, using the carbine as a pointer motioning toward the door ahead. Beep boop! They made their way to the entrance, unlocked the sliding door, and slipped inside, hopefully still unnoticed. Presto! A command terminal. “Alright, BB, plug in and start assessing what we’re dealing with.” The droid obliged, opening a compartment and sticking its . . . uhh . . . droid part into the terminal’s receptor. Veda dug a small device out of his pocket while the astromech connected.

Beep boop! “Good job. Now, let’s run this through the connection.” The droid opened a port on its spherical body and Veda plugged the device in. “The command code is . . . hold on . . . M - C - G - F - F - N.” Beep boop! ”You can’t do it any faster?” Buzzzz! “Okay, okay. Look, I’m going to step outside and keep an eye out. You make sure this gets done and tell me the second that it’s finished.”

Veda gave BB some space and walked over to the doorway, peaking outside with the barrel of the blaster leading his eyes.

CORUSCANT | ATMOSPHERE | DE DESTROYER
OBJECTIVE I | ECLIPSE

cqs1XXW.png

Apprehension sent Talin pacing. The twins might’ve been good at gettin’ places they didn’t belong, but this comms room was Talsin’s stage; nothin’ about life on Concord Dawn lit their way around the imperial tech. If they got through this alive, she’d have to bully the boy into teaching her a thing or two about it. Being able to pilfer enemy databanks sure did feel handy.

At her sisters direction, Big Chieftain went to work, plugging up to the data port in the corner. Buzzing predicated a series of slams and screams somewhere in distant areas of the ship. Talin’s eyes narrowed at the security cameras. Despite the distraction, she could taste trouble - as certain as the crow flew. The rifle which hung in a sling at her side, her own fancy contribution to their new Sunday finery, found its way to her hands.

“JR-9997 to Communications.”

The strangers voice echoed through the room. Mechanization didn’t dull the urgency.

“We have malfunctions on level 5A, section 33. Requesting an engineer crew dispatched ASAP.”

The silence drug on as Talin fumbled over the buttons, looking for the ability to respond. The receiver in the mantle was dead. Confusion crossed Talin’s face. If it was t the computer.

“Communications, do yo-“

A click silenced the call for aid. Tansu’s realization mirrored her own. They weren’t alone. Talin flashed a gesture BD knew from his master, and one the girls had made sure to teach Talsin; act natural.

A desicive footstep inched her forward. Another. A sweeping gaze scanned each console as she passed, feeling for their unlucky cast off. Talin began to babble as she resumed her earlier stride - an easy stream of words, about Dax and their last trip to Little Atrisia. To the man’s credit, he was quiet. Fear was the easiest to sniff out in the force; but his was quiet, subtle, a byproduct of his rank. It wasn’t little enough to go unnoticed in the reflection of their meld.

A palm snaked out and under the stark surface, and withdrew with a booted foot in tow. In kicked, and every second revealed more of the officers form. An ebony uniform, decorated, contrasted by a skin of emerald. One hand still held the comms device. The other shook, wrapped around his own piece pointed towards Talin.

The teen’s sole found its way to his chest. The barrel complimented her stance, inches from his face.

“You’re gonna put that blaster down.”

Talins voice was not her own. The warmth of the Treicolt homestead had faded, lending a savage edge to the Concordians accent. The meld plunged into chaos. Anger, fear, and guilt exploded out from the elder twin’s psyche. In turn, she felt Tansu’s resistance to everything playing out before her. It would have to set Talsin back; the two were otherwise always perfectly in sync.

“A couple of backwater brats.” Talin narrowly dodged a lob of salvia launched towards her. The Imperial’s face twisted into that of a man who might have already been dead. “And was that a tetan accent? Don’t know how you managed to get in here, but you made your bed. They’re gonna come for you less I answer. I’m not gonna do that unless you drop your weapons. Damned if you do…”

The wink sent another ripple of fury surging through ethereal strands. The boot pressed harder against his diaphragm.

“Give him the codes.”

The snarl held a hint of something more than suggestion, and no promises were made for what came after.

"The Primary Shields are down!"

"We're reporting severe damage to the Hull"

"We've lost the Starboard engines!"

As the Bridge erupted into activity as the crew scrambled to respond to the sudden overwhelming attack against the INV Predator, Marlon Sularen simply sat there unfazed by the chaos and destruction that raged all across him, even as one of the collector crabs landed right on the bridge superstructure. Already the INV Predator was starting to list on it's starboard side while the hull breaches created by the collector crabs were only growing larger as they began wreaking havoc across the Grand Admiral's Flagship, bringing it on the verge of destruction. "Sir! Sir!" Rackham shouted in a somewhat panicking tone, trying to gain his attention. "What are your orders sir?"

Sularen sighed as the bridge shook once more. "They've overplayed their hand." he simply responded. "What?" Rackham said confused, as the bridge shook around them once more. "The enemy. They've been throwing everything at us, from the Jedi Boarding party, to the attack on our engines, to those crab-like vessels latching onto us." Sularen explained. "With all the damage done, they now hold the assumption that victory is all but guaranteed, forgetting that we still have plenty of cards up our sleeves." he added. At that very moment, 2 Sovereign Protectors and a group of 6 SpecNav Commandos entered the bridge of the Predator, marking the arrival of the security contingent assigned to protect the bridge against the inevitable Jedi offensive. Sularen then proceeded to stand up taking one more look at the battle raging all across his ship. "Now, we end this." he proclaimed.

"Send all of our Dark Troopers to take out those crab-like vessels on our hull, and redirect portions of the fleet and our starfighter compliment to confront the ships attacking our engines" Sularen ordered. He would unleash everything he had his opponents, this battle would be his and he would make sure that the outcome of this battle transpired as he saw fit. "What about the Jedi?" Rackham asked, well-aware of the fact that the two Jedi that were in Hangar-15 were making fast progress to the bridge. "I'll handle them myself. The bridge is now yours, Colonel." the Grand Admiral proclaimed, before moving to walk out of the bridge, followed by the pair of Sovereign Protectors ready to confront the pair of Jedi that were headed towards the bridge.

As Sularen exited the bridge, he would find himself in a wide and long hallway that served as the only way in or out of the bridge of his flagship. At each side of the entrance leading into the bridge were 8 SpecNav Commandos, their guns pointed at the other entrance to the Hallway across them already anticipating that the Jedi would soon make their presence known. In addition to this, three separate electron walls had been raised across the hallway, ensuring that the Jedi wouldn't be able to immediately charge against the Grand Admiral and his protection detail. Now all that was left was to wait for the Jedi themselves to arrive so that Sularen could make quick work of them before he could return to commanding his fleet.

Meanwhile at the same time, the Predator's escorting warships began to return fire upon the Frigates and Heavy Capital Ships that had been attacking it's engines, unleashing heavy volleys and missile barrages against their foes. While the Grand Admiral's flagship would be unable to properly counter overwhelming attack against it's engines, it possessed enough escorts with a significant amount of firepower to disperse the futile attempt to bring down the Grand Admiral's flagship. At the same time, a large swarm of TIEs descended upon the largest ships targeting the Predator, with the various TIE Annihilators within the massive formation moving into attack position to launch bombing runs against those very vessels while the TIE Brutes and TIE Terminators provided cover against enemy starfighters that would try to prevent the Annihilators from hitting their targets.

As Task Force Vader would move into action once more, large swarms of Beskar-armored Dark Troopers began to emerge from the hangars of the larger Battlecruisers of Sularen's Fleet in addition to the INV Predator itself, headed straight for the Collector Crabs latched onto the Predator's Hull. While the Crabs focused on drilling further within the hull of the Predator, the Dark Troopers would soon begin to make landfall all across the ships, seeking to force their way inside the Collector Crabs to shut down the ships before they could do any further damage to the INV Predator.

The Final Act of the Battle of Coruscant had finally begun, and Sularen intended to secure a victory for himself and the Empire through any means necessary. While the Jedi were under the impression that they held the upper hand, the Grand Admiral stood ready to prove them wrong and once more seize control of the situation regardless of the opposition he would face.

  • The INV Predator takes severe damage to it's hull and shields as a result of the combined attacks from enemy ships
  • Sularen moves outside the bridge in preparation to confront the Jedi intruders supported by a pair of Sovereign Protectors and a Squad of SpecNav Commandos with three Electron Walls erected across the wide and long hallway leading to the Bridge of the Predator to halt their advance
  • The Rest of Task Force Vader (excluding the Predator) launch an all-out counter-attack against all ships attacking the Predator, supported by squadrons of various TIEs
  • Large Waves of thousands of Dark Troopers are unleashed from the hangars of all Four Battlecruisers of Task Force Vader [Predator, Tyuk, Indomintable, Urbanus] with orders to destroy the Collector Crabs latched onto the Predator's hull.

Major Action Summary
  • Dark Troopers Breach Collector Crabs: Dark Troopers find little resistance as they breach the Collector Crabs on the Predator's hull.
  • First Crab Explodes: Inside the first crab, Dark Troopers discover large quantities of Rhydonium and seismic charges. The first crab explodes upon triggering a detonator, causing significant damage to the Predator and creating a shockwave.
  • Gibit Detonates Two More Crabs: Gibit, the Ewok Weapons Specialist, remotely detonates two more crabs at the aft end with the big engines.
  • Explosion Chaos: The explosions cause a cascade of burning toffee, popping popcorn, and powerful shockwaves. The sticky, hot toffee catches fire and adheres to the Dark Troopers, and likely further damaging the Predator.

Exterior - Predator Hull

As the Beskar-armored Dark Troopers make their way towards the Collector Crabs latched onto the Predator's hull, they find little resistance. The crabs, manned by droids, are easy targets. Trooper after trooper breaches the crab ships, their odd designs making it difficult to determine where the control centers are.

Interior - First Collector Crab

Inside the first crab, the Dark Troopers begin to navigate the cramped, unfamiliar layout. They push further into the ship, only to discover an alarming sight. The ship is heavily laden with Rhydonium and seismic charges, all neatly packaged and secured with padding. The sheer amount is absurd—a glance reveals stacks upon stacks of the volatile substances.

As the first trooper approaches the core, they find a nasty surprise. The doors to the core centers are rigged with detonators. The moment the door opens, it triggers an explosive device.

Exterior - Predator Hull

The first Collector Crab explodes with a violent force, sending a shockwave that rips through the surrounding area. The seismic charges create a deep, resonating sound, followed by a silence and then an ear-splitting blast. The explosion very likely deepens and worsens the holes in the Predator's hull, causing significant damage to the superstructure. Troopers inside the crab are instantly incinerated, while those outside are thrown back by the blast.

Interior - Scrap King

Gibit (Ewok) - Weapons Specialist is watching the chaos unfold on the tactical display, ecstatic.

Gibit: "Yub nub! Dey took da bait! Now watch da firewerks!" he cheers, his eyes gleaming with excitement. Seeing the first explosion go off perfectly, Gibit decides to detonate two more crabs of his own volition, choosing the two at the aft end with the big engines. He remotely triggers the detonators.

The explosions create a chain reaction. The crabs, loaded with vats of toffee and seismic charges, erupt in a cascade of sticky sweetness and powerful shockwaves. Kernels of popcorn, heated by the blast, pop and disperse throughout the battlefield. Sticky toffee spatters out, catching fire and sticking to the Predator's hull.

Gibit: "Loo at all dat popcorn an' toffee! Dis is betta dan a holovid!" he exclaims, nearly doubling over with laughter.

Jek (Jawa) - Chief Supply Officer is ecstatic about what's going on down below, seeing all the hot toffee catch fire and slop about.

Jek: "Utinni! Look at dat mess! Sticky toffee everywhere!" he says, excitedly pointing at the screens.

Captain Kip (Chadra-Fan) and Security Officer Zane Harlock (Queequeg) watch the unfolding chaos, discussing the cleanup job needed for the "bugs" referring to the Dark Troopers.

Kip: "Those 'bugs' are getting spattered all over. Cleanup's going to be a nightmare." he remarks, shaking his head with a smirk.

Zane Harlock: "Everything's going according to plan so far. Reminds me of one of the raids back in my hay days. We used a similar tactic. Paid off big time," he says, reminiscing about a successful past operation.

Kip: "Well, let's hope this one pays off just as well. Keep an eye on those crabs, Zane."

Zane Harlock: "Will do, Captain. Those Dark Troopers won't know what hit 'em." he replies, his eyes gleaming with the thrill of the chaos.

The crew of the Scrap King continues their mission with renewed vigor! Their unconventional tactics proving highly effective as they exploit the chaos and confusion caused by the exploding Collector Crabs. The battlefield is now an even more chaotic mess of burning toffee and popcorn, creating an absurd yet dangerous environment. The damage to the Predator intensifies, with fires spreading and structural integrity compromised further. Toffe that gets slung on other dark troopers as it pours out from vats in the explosions is sticky and catches fire causing a whole new array of problems.

Zaiya gave thanks as she felt Lossa start to calm, her breathing even out. When Lossa's hand reached out, Zaiya took it into her own. Tightening her hand so her fingers interlocked with the Zeltron, Zaiya did her best to concentrate.

"I'm here. You will be okay. Your baby will be okay." Zaiya assured her. Not knowing what to do next, the Lovalla teen decided to put into practice what Braze, Loomi, and Shan told her. What was it that they told her. Right. Focus on the Force and try to connect with others. Medical staff continued their rush to get Lossa out to one of the transports that would get her out of there. They arrived at the hanger, with a flurry of activity moving in the chaos of trying to wreck as much of the systems to prevent being taken over by Onrai.

As the medical crew moved the stretcher into the transport and secured Lossa into position, Zaiya dipped into the Force. Sank into its threads. Felt the comforting blanket woven by its energy. In her mind's eye, dozens of auras would bloom, all different colors, all different hues. Each touched and connected by those shimmering threads. But there, in front of Zaiya, was a faint light. Right beside it, another, brighter, tiny, but ever so lovely, connected and fueled by Lossa. Her baby.

Focusing on them both, Zaiya did her best to channel the Force to try and help Lossa and her baby regain energy and healing. Just another wave of reinvigoration, to try her best to brighten that faint light into something brighter.

Denn smiled softly as Zaiya added her connection and healing influence.

Even as chaos reigned and all was dire, such focus and kindness would surely win the day. He had always believed such things. Now was no different.

"I do have a ship in the hangar," he said, "large enough for us. If we can get to it, I can spirit us off of this corrupted vessel."

With permission, he would usher them along to 'Sparky,' his bio-ship. It was a remarkable vessel, one-of-a-kind.

Surely a suitable vessel for these unique circumstances.

Meanwhile, in the hangar, Sparky began to thrum to readiness, sensing the approach of its friend and partner.

Everything moved fast.

They went from joking and quipping to one another to game time. His expression squished into concentration as he began to break into the Imperial system. It wasn't much different from the old One Sith bulks still littering some places on Teta. Empress Teta had been a bulwark of Imperial activity and one of the few active loyalist groups that loved the Imperials and the Sith in equal measure. It was the perfect breeding ground for a young and stubborn noble boy to sink his teeth into encryption mechanisms and such.

"Dunno, Tan. I am hoping quite a bit." He muttered in response to how much time there was left. It was hard to focus. The element of fear... it was there in the background and it was itching at Talsin.

Why did he feel like he ought to turn his datapad on?

Things turned to chit in no time. His back was to both sisters but he heard the noise of a scuffle and then a foreign, rough Imperial voice addressing them nasally and arrogantly. Talsin scoffed. "Tetan or not, you are the one who doesn't belong here, Imp." Talsin said over his shoulder but without taking his eyes off of the screen.

The sooner he finished this, the sooner they could get out of here.

This is why he was not prepared for Talin's hard cold voice and the burst of emotions bursting out of her. He was used to both the sisters being perfect mirrors to one another. The sheer discordance in the contrast now made him gasp.

"S-steady, Talin." He hissed quietly to her. "Be calm, we are almost done here and then we can all part ways peacefully."

Talsin didn't say he didn't need the codes however... if the Imp passed them over... it would make all of this easier.

As Jasper stepped off the lift, a frown came to his face. Electron barriers? A waste of time if anything. It was a surefire bet that the source was in the walls, generators that created the barriers to block their path. Already he could see eight accompanying men, two seeming more distinct then the rest. Not that it mattered. All of this was going to end the same way, and Jasper wasn't here to play around with whatever specialist Sularen wanted to drag in. He raised his hand up, feeling out for the emmiters with the force. One by one he crushed them, rendering them down for the count. They blinked out in succession until the last wall fell, revealing him and his student in full.

"Right," Jasper sighed. "Down to business."

The Sentinel of Harmony lifted his claymore, hurling it like a javelin towards the nearest Sovereign Protector using his mechanical arm, the piston within releasing steam as it flared to life. The sheer weight of the blade was more than a man could block, and it would be through the chest of the warrior as quickly as it had been thrown. A sigh escaped the lips of the Jedi Knight as he turned his focus back to the Grand Admiral of the Final Dawn.

It was a simple action, but it made what Jasper intended to do here very clear. He had done all he could to try and avoid killing after the Hyperspace War. He hated it... But this was now what had to be done. If this was to be, Jasper was giving it every fiber of his being.

"Frankly, I'm not a talker," the councilmember remarked. "Let's not pretend to be civil here. We're all busy men, and I have no breath to waste for you."

And with that, Jasper readied a martial arts stance, steadying his breath... He was the lense... power focused through him.

Inky markings could be seen on his arms and chest at a closer distance.

The cockpit of the G9 erupted with sparks as the ship roared and groaned under the force of an explosion.

Perhaps this was an inevitability.

His G9 hadn't been built for dogfighting. It was remarkable that he'd lasted this long against the ever-present predators now filling the skies over Coruscant. It had been a good day so far for him in getting out of scrapes, but everyone's luck ran out eventually.

Kol gripped the controls and tried to guide the ship to a soft landing... but on the irregular 'surface' of Coruscant, that was a tough ask.

"Well Kitty," he said through clenched teeth, "it's been a good run."

He just hoped his ship wasn't the only one with nine lives...

Arrived in: Atrisian Sunset (Clan Li-Ves Warship)

With: Navy Pilot Clones (4 Squadrons, under personal Command)

Wrath of Alice (Battle Cruiser. House Bloodscrawl Flagship)

Realm of Demons (Battle Cruiser, currently stealthed)

Planetary Defense Centurion (3)

BWE Corporate Heavy Cruiser (2)

Super Heavy Interceptors (100)

Heavy Sniping Interceptors (100)

Bacta-Works had decided to wait. Wait until local spies had confirmed that the Sith had finally made their big move.

But no one could have prepared them for what the bloody Sith had pulled.

A giant freaking Battle Cruiser erupting from underneath the Senate? Even their spies had started freaking out.

Alice Bloodscrawl, however, felt only rage as she came out of hyperspace.

At long last, she had finally started to make it genuinely personal with the Sith. Not the least of which because her husband was missing, seized at the Battle of Jedha by Astrid pentoghast Astrid pentoghast .

It was like having her mother kidnapped by The Amalgam all over again.

Vera was putting out feelers. In her desperation, she had even reached out to Syd, but all Syd could tell her was that she could feel him, that he was still alive, but that he was in great pain. That she couldn't pinpoint him through their Bond.

Her new husband, ripped away from her, from his new family. It wasn't fair.

Whoever had him better hope he was still alive when she found him, because if he wasn't, then whoever had seen to it would suffer beyond what even their warped Sith imagination could conceive of. Vera had started out as a vicious, murdering Android without much of anything you could describe as a conscience. She was still kinda like that on some level, in spite of now trying to take her husband's morality seriously.

She'd whip out the old version of herself just for the purpose of making sure her Husband's tormentor died in agony and madness before that. Sure, most of the Sith were insane already, but Vera was such a good torturer at one point that she had gotten a Sith Master to break from the sheer horror she had inflicted and sink to an even deeper level of Mental wreckage.

Hostiles registered everywhere as the Bacta-Works Fleet now arrived, the Wrath of Alice, a Bellidux Star Battle Cruiser at the front of the attack, with her squadrons above it.

Alice, flying a TIE/Ret, signalled to Alliance Commanders and allies.

"Attention, Alliance Naval Command, this is the Bacta-Works Security Fleet, here to assist..." she transmitted to Amelia von Sorenn Amelia von Sorenn , Lossa Aureus Lossa Aureus , and Nyles Kote Nyles Kote

As her fleet started to receive attention, one Battlecruiser in the fleet that had actually arrived earlier, and was still stealthed, began to descend into the Atmosphere of Coruscant to release it's own Payload...

Meanwhile, the Bacta-Works Fleet came under fire, and the Wrath of Alice began to train it's lesser guns on the smaller Sith Ships, while it's heavy cruisers released squadrons of Clone Pilots flying Z-95's, old school TIE Avengers, and Star Sabers. Meanwhile, the Defense Centurions released Clone Pilotes in Blade Wing Replicas even as they started to get closer to the Atmosphere and The Battle Cruiser itself released Clones flying Chips built TIE's in a clawed fashion.

Vera dived in her black and white piloting skinsuit, and soon came up on four targets that chased her, but her Android reflexes served her very well in this instance as she corkscrewed through the blackness of space through stellar dust and Debris, dodging their fire, before twisting her craft in a corkscrew manner, slowly down and letting her four pursuers shoot past her, were her targeting and reflex protocols allowed her to burst fire at all four even while in a nearly uncontrolled spin and down all of them before zooming into the thick of Battle.

"Whoever's in charge there, let us know how we can best aid you." she added in encrypted transmission, trying not to think of her husband as she took out her rage at his kidnapping on imperial pilots...

Meanwhile, the cloaked Realm of Demons got closer and closer to the atmosphere...

Braze was hot on Jasper's heels, his focus razor-sharp as they barreled through the corridors of the ship. He locked onto the targets ahead, and the moment the last wall fell, he sprang into action. His left hand siphoned away the air from the men around Sularen, while his right hand raised them up with the Force, slamming them against the walls of the ship headfirst. Each impact was calculated to incapacitate them non-lethally, a flawless execution of display over his precision and control.

"Go get him, Master! I've got your back!" Braze cheered, his voice filled with determination.

As he moved closer at breakneck speed, Braze disarmed the guards with a swift motion. Their weapons were arrested mid-air telikinetically, the ammo removed, and the weapons disassembled with precision with satisfying clicks. His meditation crystals, embedded in his armor and weapons, glowed as they were utilized to their full potential, enhancing his focus.

Braze knew Sularen might have thought he could hide behind his men forever, but the time for reckoning had come. The Grand Admiral was going to pay for his crimes. He was coming with them, dead or alive, and Braze would make sure of it.

Braze's senses heightened as he took position at the rear, guarding against any potential surprise attacks in the narrow hallway. He was hyper-aware, ensuring nothing and no one could approach them unnoticed.

With Jasper leading the charge and Braze covering their flank, they moved forward with staunch resolve. The fate of the battle hung in the balance, but together, they were unstoppable.
As his final nasty trick, Braze telekinetically hurled all his GA- E.G.G.S. forward, smashing them against the ceiling with precision and speed. The resulting clouds swirled into a vortex, forming above the Admiral. Braze skillfully manipulated the cloud from the outside, transforming it into a highly accurate ranged weapon that constricted uppon Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen 's form from all around.

The interior of the Predator was chilly, but that didn’t stop Veda from sweating as he stood guard. Cool as a cucumber, he tried to convince himself. Mentally, maybe he believed it. He was the hero in his fantasy. But the physical manifestations of anxiety and nervousness couldn’t be so easily dismissed. He realized these few minutes of silence and isolation were the first moments resembling anything near calm that he had experienced in . . . what? Hours? On one hand it felt like days, on another, only seconds. Funny how time moved in the middle of a war zone.

He was unceremoniously thrust back into reality as concussive explosions on the hull reverberated throughout the ship. One, then two, then several more, almost simultaneously, a chorus of chaos around the vessel. “BB, how much longer?” he yelled back into the terminal room, keeping his eyes focused on the hallway. Beep boop! Almost. Funny that in this moment, he thought of one thing. Veda reached into his pocket, grabbed a small container, popped something out of it, and stuck it into the corner of his mouth. A nic-pouch. Calm and focus in one tiny little package.

He nearly dropped the container as he slid it back into his pocket, making a sudden move with the same hand to grab the stock of the carbine to aim when he heard footsteps running toward him. The two troopers were surprised to see him when they turned the corner. Slow on the draw. He got the drop and fired on them before they had their blasters aimed, taking both of them out with two precise shots. Well. Maybe it was five semi-precise shots. Either way, they were down, and he was still standing.

Ding! An idea. He ran toward the fallen soldiers and stripped the helmet off the one closest. No way he was putting this thing on his head, but he could disconnect the internal comm device and wear it like a one-sided headphone. What he heard should not have surprised him. Frantic voices yelling that the Jedi had made it to the bridge. Something about Dark Troopers on the hull taking out the crabs. That explained why so few troopers were patrolling in this direction. He left the comm on and hustled back to the terminal room.

When he arrived, he was greeted with a Beep boop whirrrr! as sparks flew from the BB unit’s connection port and the droid spun away. “Frik! Did it get loaded?” he asked, forgetting any immediate concern for the droid’s wellbeing. Beep boop! The astromech rolled over to Veda and ejected the device, sending it flying at his face. “Yeah, sorry, I meant to ask are you okay.” He didn’t. But the job was done. The program — whatever it was — had finished running before the droid was harshly disconnected from the system. He placed the device back into a safe pocket and thought about his next move.

The independent outlaw in him wanted to rush back to the hangar, climb into the X-wing, and fly the hell out of here. If the X-wing could even still fly. But the glory-hound hero in him took over. “Bring up the map again.” It was quite a ways to the bridge. “Are you up for it?” Beep boop! “Yeah, it’s a terrible idea. Let’s do it anyway.“ If droids could growl, the mechanical sound that came from the BB unit was that. Veda reached in his bag and grabbed two detonators, placing one on the command terminal and another across the room. He set the timer to two minutes. Cover your tracks. Then, blaster in hand, he took off sprinting toward the bridge, his spherical companion rolling beside him.

Sahar|Galactic senate|Coruscant

"And what do you have to show for your success? A dead bloated alliance and a corrupt kleptocracy protected by sycophants like you."

She gritted her teeth, pushing Thalia's blows back and answering in sync with her own, meeting the now-marred Jedi head-on in her own game. Doctrine was indeed their mantra, and it had served her time and time again; doctrine and strict adherence to it was what gave her strength while rotting away in prison. Sahar did not fall to pure hatred like the weak cowards she shared a prison ward with and turned Sith, rather she stuck to her oath to Rurik Fel and would see his revenge realised even if it was the last thing she'd do.

"Enough with the fething theatre play you ingrat-."

With hideous thunder and a deep guttural roar, the building they had clashed in began crumbling slowly and frighteningly around them. Several chunks crashing in and around them, the Kandaran looked away from Thalia and up at a large stone descending rapidly on her. But before she could react, the Jedi, in some strange act of altruism, sent her flying further down the corridor as more rubble caved in and flooded the place and buried the Imperial knight as she fell backwards and slammed the back of her head. Black spots dotted her vision and the air was knocked out of her lungs as it all faded to black.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Many years prior.

862ABYY.

Deserts of Kandara.

As she became more conscious, she realised it was a mistake. She was back, back where it all started.

Home.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw movement.

She tried hard not to think of the past. It had been something long buried when Fel saved her. Sahar turned to face the sound of the movement, gazing upon rows of scrawny Kandaran youths sparring and training in a vast camp that dotted the barren wasteland. Kandarans bearing the Imperial sigil patrolled the place while others bearing the signature eagle of the Kandaran imperial movement instructed and whipped the youth into shape.

"I remember," she muttered softly, brow furrowed in shock.

Am i dead?

More movement was heard behind her, scrambling noises that grew ever closer causing Sahar to put a hand on her saber belt. But instead, several soldiers and cadets marched past her, seemingly not knowing she was there. One of them caught her eye and made her froze in panic, hair cut short and with dull placid eyes stuck straight ahead.

It was her, young and not yet an initiate in the Imperial knights. The young Sahar had cut her hair short and took a boy's name to enlist in the Kandaran Imperial Fedayeen forces, a forlorn attempt to escape poverty and the misery of not choosing her own path in life. She'd fled her parent's home in the dead of night, telling the recruiters that she was a street orphan who had no family, past or future. Her time in the cadet camps had been one of chastisement, beatings and mental conditioning by Imperial trainers who sought to shape the cadets into the next generation of killers deployed off the planet to fight whatever cause the Imperials deemed it wise to be martyred for.

A time that felt like an eternity ago.

She looked at herself, and the young Sahar stared back intensely as the world around them grew dark and a deep distant industrial thudding sound began to emerge.

She had faced this countless times before in her sleep, but the blood still rushed from her face and her entire body trembled as the knight persona crumbled and was replaced with the scared orphan girl that had long been repressed and trapped inside. Demonic green eyes emerged in the abyss like darkness. Faded steel adorning it's face and draped in white as it reached out a ghostly gloved hand.

"I'm sorry," she stuttered pathetically.

Sahar screamed and snapped back to reality.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The knight stirred to screaming in abject agony and rage as she pushed herself out of the rubble, falling out of the mound and onto the hard floor, knocking the air of out her and leaving her panting on the floor pathetically. Through sheer willpower and stubbornness, she came to and angrily locked eyes with senate guardsmen who had come to clearly finish her off and save that Jedi.

A bloodied grin formed on her lips, and she gestured for them to come before closing in on them with a manic smile.
