The Diarch listened to the back and forth of the industrialists. It was not his world, something he would need Damos Vakaro Damos Vakaro to look into. But, his interest was piqued at the sudden departure of the young Dashiell. From what Reign knew of the family, they were all pragmatists of a sort so it was not surprising, but respectable and wise as well.

One that Reign did know, and trust, was Director Terallo. The woman had helped him get his start and he would defend her to the ends of the galaxy if need be. When he finally spoke, it was softly, but carried the weight of one who was used to leading men.

“Mr. Ziss, you seem to have a firm grasp on things. I would counsel you to continue to heed Director Terallo’s words. She is a wise woman, and one I would trust with my own life.”

The Diarch paused again briefly, thinking through the conversation that led to this point. Ziss had many grand plans for Dantooine, but they would not come easily.

“You will have our cooperation, but I warn you to know your enemy before you strike. You and I will be seeing much more of each other Mr. Ziss, I am placing my faith in you, do try to rise to the occasion.”

It was not an overt threat, but if Ziss knew anything of the Diarch, he would know that failure or disloyalty was not tolerated within the Diarchy.

The Diarch’s gaze was not unkind, but firm. He also had high hopes for Dantooine and was sure they could work well together.

As he stood to go get another drink from the bar, his one unsecured data stick would fall out of his tunic.

Ova Ziss took Diarch Reign's words quite seriously, and in the manner that was intended. Ova's plans were ambitious, and he knew that he would need a lot of help. He was leaving the VIP table with many more allies than enemies, which emboldened Ziss to believe that his plan for the trade corridor were sound. However, Ova saw the potentially weaknesses in his planning, exactly like Director Terallo had told him. Ova wasn't a politician and he wasn't used to being so tactful: in his world, backroom deals didn't come without a room full of lawyers and "seconds", who were to "help" make "decisions".

But if Ova did tone himself down, and temper some of the aggression that he held over from his two ex wives, he could do even more business.

Ova's father had once said: "Flowers attract more bees than cold steel". Words to live by.

"I must agree. Director, you are an intelligent and tactful woman. If anyone can talk down these pirates, it is you." Ova's eyes glimmered at her in an unusual way. "I hope to be seeing more of the both of you.", Ova said with a wide smile, shaking the Diarch's hand, the Director's hand, and any other hands across the table that he could reach. He reached into his front breast pocket and produced business cards, which he distributed. The card provided for a discount at the kingpin's online store. Ova made sure to leave extra copies, in case his curious employees also wanted to have a look. He did not notice the Diarch leaving a memory card behind, because Ova was too busy making friendly with the people around the table.

Ova gestures to Diarch Reign and Director Liin, leaning forward to whisper quietly to them as he shakes their hands.

"The moment that we make our move against the planetary pirates, we will let you know."

Pending any last-minute conversations, Ziss closes his holo-map. He rises unsteadily to his knees, being a bit sloshed from the open bar. A number of Ziss's friends rise with him. It seems the meeting, at least, was over, even if the party was not. Ziss's bodyguard Grenz helps him for a moment, placing a large Mandalorian gauntlet on Ziss's shoulder and hoisting him up. Ziss quietly thanks him.

"It's getting late, and the party is beginning to wane. Thanks again for accepting my invitations. Don't forget to grab a party favor at the door."

With a final nod and a wave goodbye, Ziss retires into a private chamber, clamoring rather drunkenly with Grenz right behind him.
