While this happened to a smaller degree before, it was hard to explain on paper why the Casinos were losing money or why the smaller companies would be wildly successful one quarter with untracked money appearing out of nowhere, upsetting the accountant even more than losing money, and then barely breaking even next quarter[/SIZE]

A comprehensive shipyard exists in the Yavin system, orbiting not far from Yavin Prime. This shipyard is capable of building capital vessels and is well-defended by any measure. It is one of the clan's major points of hyperwave signal interceptor installation, giving the Yavin system advance warning of incoming hostiles. Advance hyperspace warning systems also feed back from throughout the Gordian Reach, the area which immediately surrounds Yavin.

A Rekali clan defensive base exists on the planet Vjun, in the ruined and partially rebuilt city of Bitter End. Bast Castle has also been repaired and refitted as a starfighter waypoint and monitoring station. A Ranger transceiver gives Bast Castle the ability to monitor the region and help give advance warning to the Yavin system from several key hyperroutes.

Rationale:

Astraeus Industrial was recently founded by a Hapan woman by the name of Rebecca Bailey. She used her families wealth in order to purchase several minor Hapan Arms Manufacturers as well as Shipyards and small warehouse facilities. She then used these small companies as a way to create a greater corporate entity within the Hapes Cluster, that entity becoming Astraeus Industrial.

This is the story told.

In actuality, the plot was far more sophisticated and well thought out. Astraeus Industrial was founded so that Titan Industries could play both sides of the War. The corporation was made by the means of Titan Industries and its vast resources and funding. Money was funneled through hundreds of accounts, corporations, and willing planetary bodies. From there it was used to purchase the corporate elements that now make up Astraeus Industrial. There is absolutely no way of telling the Start Up money for Astraeus came from Titan Industries due to the multiple ways it was funneled and shifted.

In order to head this corporation Alric Kuhn created an Human Replica Droid by the name of Rebecca Bailey. She would head this new corporation, having his own mental acumen and being programmed to follow his directives. This created further disassociation between Titan and Astraeus, making the companies separate entities.

Astreaus' business activities are focused entirely on a broad range of information, communications, intelligence, electronic warfare, simulation, training, and instrumentation systems, as well as Jedi Assistance. This branch is as it's title suggest, it is the utilization of Astraeus' other divisions in order to create products for the Jedi and for only the Jedi.

With its corporate headquarters on Hapes Prime and its other facilities dotted throughout the Hapes Cluster Astraeus Industrial holds a unique position among other businesses, in that they begin with a customer already waiting for their weaponry and defensive measures.

History

Astraeus Industrial for all intense and purposes was founded in 844 BBY by a woman named Rebecca Bailey. The funding for the corporation came from a private hedge-fund of investors using several equities as their investment means. The firm then began to buy out smaller manufacturers of Arms and Armor as well as several smaller shipyards eventually banding them all together under a single corporate Identity, that of Astraeus Industrial. The hedge-fund is providing all funding to Astraeus until it further expands.

Of course, publicly, because Astraeus is a new corporation it does not yet have a long history, though its future is a bright one as it has the means, funding, and clients to push itself to be a more massive corporate giant.

Behind closed doors however Astraeus has a more secreted past. Unlike what most people would think Astreaus is in fact a six year project brought to fruition by the owner and CEO of Titan Industries. Knowing that the Sith versus Jedi War would never end, and knowing that Titan was rooted firmly within the reaches of the Sith, Alric Kuhn began a plot.

War profiteering at its finest through the use of the fear the Sith created.

With the massive funding that Titan Industries held, and the huge amounts of resources at his disposal, Alric began a slow move into Republic space, making huge effort to hide all movement of money, resources and other things. In the end, Alric was able to buy up several Hapan manufacturers, create an HRD CEO, and establish Astraeus Industrial a secret whole subsidiary of Titan Industries that would aid the "Good guys" of the Galaxy with the establishing control over Republic worlds. The establishing and the running of Astraeus was of course done in secret, and in fact Alric has zero to no contact with Astraeus Industrial.

Upon the disappearance of Alric Kuhn, protocols for this occurrence would prompt Rebecca Bailey to offer the Duch'a of Selab and Charuba with the option to become Chairman of the operation, as the expansion of Astraeus was done with the Ducha as a benefactor within Hapes Territory.

Accepting the proposal, Persephone Callas would now oversee Astraeus Industrial's expansion and promotion throughout the Hapes Consortium, and perhaps beyond.
