Control Is Internal [Aika Kawakami]

The Togruta watched as [member="Aika Kawakami"] split the flying pebbles in to two groups, tumbling to a slow stop on either side of her. Despite the woman’s insistence that the technique she was demonstrating wasn’t fancy, Asaak was still beyond pleased. It seemed fundamental, what she had just watched – requiring precision, but otherwise it clicked. She could imagine twin pinions of energy escaping the Knight’s hands as she redirected the pebbles.

“Maybe not fancy, but it’ll do the job,” she said, shifting her stance and looking between the pebbles and Aika. “My turn?” she asked, flexing her fingers in anticipation. She imagined it was exactly like catching something that someone threw to you in a game only to toss it away, catching and redirecting their energy. But she couldn't prove that until she felt it herself.

A small chuckle slipped form her lips as she nodded at the Togruta. "So eager.. Very well then. Lets give it a go, and see where we have to start. Shall we?" Without turning her head, her eyes glanced back at one of the small pebbles they had used for her example mere moments ago. Within an instant, the small rock began to levitate, rising into the air slowly as her gaze returned to the girl, hands clasping behind her back. For now, one was a perfectly good start. No one gets things on their first try, and she certainly didn't want to bombard her with rocks. After all, they were getting along so well!

"Ready? Here it comes.." With those words, the pebble flew towards Asaak's chest, though the speed was relativity slow. She wanted to give her time to make the attempt. If it had been going full speed, the result likely wouldn't have been pretty.

There was very little in the Force that worried Asaak. It had always been calming, a soothing aspect of her life.

Her run-in with two sister Sith had left her with many questions. They had both been so angry - the Force seemed to flow through them when they were angry or afraid. They gained power from torturing Asaak, the marks of which the Togruta often masked by wrapping a lekku around her throat to cover the scar where Nemene had tried to kill her. It would have been easy to give in, to use the Force as they did and with such power.

But she liked the calm of the Light. She liked how good it felt in its embrace.

So when it was her turn and a little flip of nerves, the fear of failure wracking her, she just let go and let the Force take over. When the pebble flew towards her she lifted her hand, imagining the Force as a small gust of controlled wind from her palm and directing the pebble to the side.

She couldn't help but grin at her teacher then!

Her eyes simply blinked as the pebbles twisted to the side, slipping by the girl and bouncing along the ground. It was obvious she was good, but still, even Aika didn't expect that on the first try. Definitely a natural.. Still, she was pleasantly surprised, as evidenced by the acknowledging grin. "Well, I didn't expect that. But, since you seem to have a simple hang on the principal, what do you say we run a little test? Nothing to crazy, just a little something to see how much practice you'll need. That said..."

Her hands came unclasped, rising to chin level, palms facing up. With no visual effort, the pebbles she'd previously swatted aside, along with a few others ripped from the ground, levitated up, stopping behind her head at about neck level. "Don't worry. I think you should be able to handle this. Either way, I won't put too much force into it. So....think fast!" With those words, her hands and wrists curled back before flicking forward. The motion sent the ten pebbles zooming through the air toward the Togruta. With 5 to either side, Aika fully expected the girl to be pummeled by at least half of them. Of course, she had proven herself a quick learn already...
