Anti-Grav Repulsors
Anti-Grav Repulsors: Due to the inbuilt sensors, the Anti-Grav Chute requires little to no interaction to operate. The pilot or soldier merely steps out of the ship or ejects, and the Starfall detects telemetric data like how far from the ground, the speed the wearer is faller, and applies concentrated, on-demand bursts of it’s repulsor lifts in such a way that, starting several kilometers from the ground, the wearers descent is slowed to such a speed they will sustain minimal, if any injuries.
Strengths:
Mayday! Feet First Into Hell!: This chute will keep you from death or injury on a HALO insertion or crash ejection.
Directionless: There is zero ability to steer or the device, being it is an emergency safety apparatus.
STOP PUTTING HOLES IN MY SHIP!!!: The grav chute does, unfortunately, leave the user completely exposed to enemy fire.
DESCRIPTION
Simple and utilitarian, the Coronet Hypernautics Starfall unit is an emergency ejection chute in it’s primary design. It’s entire purpose is to slow an ejected pilot from a craft underway so they experience little to no consequence from ejecting from their weapon. Particularly designed for starfighters and other slimmer craft not able to utilize escape pods. A secondary usage is employed often by CorSec in raids and strikes, in that troopers from drop-ships can utilize the cheaper and more disposable, as well as reliable technology, to perform HALO drops and insertions on targets. The only real drawback to the unit other than leaving the pilot/soldier completely undefended during the ejection or drop.
