"Oh cheer up, you got a week or two of Withdrawl, you got to be happy in something right? Now, lets go get that food, im paying." He started walking off towards where she had indicated, watching her though to make sure she didn't try to harm herself as they walked. Last thing he needed was her going suicidal so soon after he had gotten her free of the deathsticks... that doesnt come till a few days from now.

Nyx shrunk again and climbed up his body and onto his shoulder. She clung to his collar to keep herself from falling off. She was far from cheerful, but if he insisted on being in a good mood then fine, he'd carry her to the cantina. She yawned sleepily in his ear as she rode on his shoulder. The cantina was only a few blocked away for the walk was a fairly short one. [member="Glyph"]

Glyph walked and let his feet fall on the walkway to the cantina, his hands stuck in his pockets and ignoring the odd glances he caught for having a pixie on his shoulder. "So, what exactly does the place make you tiny Pixie?" He looked at his shoulder, waiting for her to answer, somehow managing not to run into a single person as he walked and smiling.

"Typical bar food but it's better than nothing. I'm not actually that hungry..." Nyx replied, still seeming a little dead. She was trying to push her fears about withdrawal out of her mind, but her high was wearing off and she knew in a few hours she'd start to suffer. She almost wanted to scream. The little Shi'ido climbed down from Glyph's shoulder and dropped into a pocket on his shirt. [member="Glyph"]

He knew exactly what she was feeling as he felt it too, damn that Empathy. "Hmm, if you aren't hungry why are we going out to eat then... what do you like to do with the exception of the obvious thing im not allowing you to do anymore, and yes, that means ill be sticking around until your withdrawl is over."

"I figured you'd be hungry and I don't keep a whole lot of food in my apartment... Turns out I don't eat much. And I don't really have fun... I work, that's about it. If I'm not in my apartment then I'm working," she replied from inside his pocket. She was a little happier knowing she wouldn't be suffering alone, but she couldn't help wondering why he was trying to help her. No one else had. [member="Glyph"]

"You know, i can still feel your feelings. Curiosity this time, what is the question?" He stopped and voted to sit down, if he was going to talk to himself, then he was going to do it sitting down, that way anyone walking with him only thought he was crazy when the passed, not for the whole walk.

"Why do you care? Why do you want to stay with me through withdrawal? Why are you making me go through withdrawal in the first place?" Nyx mumbled softly, climbing out of his pocket and growing to her normal height of 5'2" and sitting next to him now. She leaned her had back against the wall of whatever building they were seated in front of. [member="Glyph"]

"1. I care because those are illegal and i am a witness to the use of the single greatest danger to your body if you continue to use them, it is a painful death that cuts your life in half, if you are lucky. 2. Like i said, its a painful death and the sooner you quit the less damage there is that needs repaired in the end, even now you already cut off atleast a decade if not more in human lifespan, whats that in the life span of a Shi'do? and 3. It would be cruel for me to leave you alone during withdrawl, there is no more reason than that."

"Hah, if you think legality is something I care about you'll hate my job then," the Shi'ido replied calmly as she continued to sit next to him. She was essentially a freelance spy. Not the most illegal of things, but still heavily frowned upon and a lot of people wanted her dead as a result. She glanced around, trying to judge where they were. [member="Glyph"]

"You asked me why, and i told you why, you dont have to go and laugh in my face." He looked at her as she spoke with a raised brow and his head going backwards so that he could stare at the sign above them, his eyes following it as it swung and found himself extremely bored with the sign.

"Just stating a fact... When you spend most of your life living on the streets, the idea of something being 'illegal' becomes kind of trivial. You just learn to do whatever it takes to survive," Nyx explained, sounding almost tired. She hadn't meant to offend him, and the Shi'ido felt kind of bad for making him upset. She hoped he wouldn't abandon her. [member="Glyph"]

[member="Nyx Saranei"]

"Stop feeling upset please, im going to start crying if you continue too, i sense your emotions on top of mine, so think of what twice the same emotion would feel like miss Saranei?" He looked at her as he turned his head, eyes staring at her for a few seconds before looking back at the sign that swung above him.

"If you can feel my emotions, why would you want to stay with me through withdrawal? It'll be terrible for you," Nyx was honestly curious and concerned about his one. She didn't want to accidentally harm him without knowing it. The process would be painful enough for her, she didn't want to make him suffer as well. [member="Glyph"]

"Did i not just say less than a minute ago that i was here because to make you go through it alone was going to be terrifying and painful enough that leaving you alone would be cruel... look dont take this the wrong way, im not looking for you to be grateful, or for a pay off, i just want to help you change your life before you ruin it, so please allow me to do such."

"But why? No one has ever cared before, so why do you? Why does it matter you if I throw my life away?" Nyx questioned, not able to wrap her mind around the concept. She wasn't used to people caring about her. Her own parents had abandoned her. Family was supposed to care, but her's hadn't. She wondered why someone who was damn near a complete stranger to her would care so much. [member="Glyph"]

[member="Nyx Saranei"]

"How about this, would you believe me if i said i was bored and i needed to repay you anyways for not leaving me injured on that roof?" He raised a brow, looking at her and waving his hand as if dismissing the confusion about why he was helping her save her own life from such a damaging habit.

"I guess," the Shi'ido sighed. She shifted forms again, changing her hair to an icy blue color with dark sapphire eyes. She also made her skin tone much lighter to match the light color of her hair. She enjoyed being able to change her form so easy. It was fun, and rather useful. She had a feeling that was the best answer she would get from Glyph. [member="Glyph"]
