What's the difference between a dominion and an invasion? Is it necessary to be a Major Faction to start either? Also, when posting a thread for a Dom/inv, how would I go about that?

A dominion is when a Major Faction does a 100 to 150 post thread to claim a planet or two, or the entire hex. An invasion is when a rival Major Faction launches an 'invasion' on another Major Faction for a targeted planet or a large-scale Hex Invasion. And yes, you have to be a major faction to start them.
