[member="Darth Carnifex"] correct me if I am wrong.

Well, unless you've got a suicide vest to go along with those guns, it's just a matter of time before the Jedi surrounds the spaceport.
This reminds me a lot of Kotor, for whatever reason.

[member="Thema Csapla"] I am sabrina just made my next post, the police will have other things to contend with as well.
The dogs being on the loose was only stage 1
Now you have wild animals on the loose in the city, and a pair of rancors. :)

Police maybe bit busy

Destruction.

On the other hand, Deneba is such a mess I love it. You got a slaughter in the spaceport, numerous self-exploding individuals in the city and now the whole damn zoo is out.

That I know that I know haha don't kill him though please at least send a message to me and I'll do that for you ;)

I um..

I just want to raise this point but uuuuh....This is a rebellion right? How is the random slaughter of civilians meant to in any way shape or form inspire them to switch to your side? That is at least without some serious Meta-gaming

You miss the point.

The entire purpose of sowing this level of chaos and destruction is to destabilize the tenuous hold the Republic currently has on this newly acquired territory.

The Republic can't keep a hold on its territory if it has no populace to control, no local garrisons to enforce order, or Jedi to keep the peace.

The chaos being wrought now is but the faintest inkling of what is to come later in the thread.

Certainly, but do recall, this is a -Rebellion- thread, you're trying to rebel against something.

What you are doing however is terrorism and slaughter, turning people against you, that's not how to successfully gain the support of the people. This is an invasion, that you're hiding under the guise of a rebellion. Because none of what you're attempting so far is in any way shape or form going to assist you in rebelling.

Besides that...Deneba is a dessert world. It is of next to no actual important as it lacks in any guys of valuable minerals. There wouldn't be grand cities, there is likely a single spaceport and a few private companies, but no the level of civilization I see described to it.

I would perhaps suggest, if this is meant to be the territorial beginnings of a group, to begin by perhaps claiming a nearby hex (That has no faction on it) And then invading, as from the story you are writing it would make more sense as an invasion.

Of course, and an all out attack and battle is fine and I wholeheartedly approve. However specifically targeting the civilian population with the intent to kill or to purge hardly seems like the way to conquer a world, do to a few reasons:

1) It destroys any level of sympathy of trust between the population and you, requiring a tighter military grip to keep it controlled and under your rule

2) If the destruction of the population is complete, you need to bring in your own colonists to make the world profitable again.

3) With the amount of death and carnage, and the type of weaponry used so far, you're destroying what little infrastructure there already is, meaning you need to invest even more into making the planet viable.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Conclusion: You are damaging what you intend to take, creating antipathy for your faction, and providing no clear goal or grounds as to why the system should rebel to your banner and hail you as their rulers, in fact you are providing quite the opposite, and giving just about every other faction a very good reason to attack you for what you're doing.

Complete Side Note: We're already dealing with terrorism in real life, it's ramping up by the day. Do we really want to promote this kind of activity in the world?

The Black Empire does not plan to take the hex for itself, but rather deprive of the Republic of any assets within the system by the systematic destruction of both infrastructure and population.

As stated previously, these acts of terrorism are merely prelude to the main course of the rebellion which will involve more fighting and should possess naval combat aspects.

Your reasoning doesn't take in the facts of what the Black Empire was created to do, or its stance concerning whether we intend to be a major faction or a minor faction.

Nor does it take in the allies that have pledged themselves to aiding us in our cause, which will become apparent later in the thread.
