John laughed " of course thats what we do, but the YT-1300 freighter is good, it can go 800 km/h in the atmosphere... has a class 2 hyperdrive and can have 1 or 2 laser turrets. " He said, knowing his ships. He smiled, taking a loot at the inside and out before trying to find her again.. but found the door locked... " is all well in there? " He asked, not knowing of her plans to change. "Well when you are ready we can go to dinner, anywhere you want. " John took the time to inspect her cargoholds to see if it had any hidden compartments, he knew these were known for it. He felt along the side wall. he of course would try to pretend to do something else if asked or seen.

She of course had hidden compartments but he would find nothing in them yet. She had yet to figure out what to put in them. It wasn't as if she really had anything to hide anymore. "I'll be out in one second I promise", she called from inside the locked bedroom as she looked through the closet for something to wear. After a few moments of just standing there she settled on a short green dress which came to her knees that she had never worn before. Giving herself a once over look in the mirror she unlocked the door and stepped outside to see him looking over the the ship.

"I'm ready,"she smiled at him twirling a little bit in the dress. She really loved dresses as she often didn't get the chance to wear them. They were not suitable workwear. "I was thinking we could try that new restaurant you know the one everyone raves about?" She couldn't for the life of her remember the name right now.

John had observed the the empty compartments, noting them as he heard she was ready, and he was rendered speechless. She was beauitful. He couldn't believe it, She was gorgeous " your beautiful... it really suits you" He managed to get out... and when she talked about the resturant, he finally figured out she was waiting on him. Oh The Danby. He thought.. " you mena the Danby?" that sounds great. " He held out his arm, figuring that was the thing to do. He couldn't believe how good she looked, and she was going on a date with him... John must be dreaming.. he thought to himself. " So What do you do for fun? "
John coulnd't believe it, looking her over again.. how did he end up taking her to dinner.. the green dress looked unbelievable on her.

"Thank you," she blushed a little. "I just thought that if I was going to be seen on your arm I ought to change into something nicer. I'm sure girls go crazy over you especially in your uniform." She lightly smiled at him taking his arm. She could tell by the look on his face that the green dress was the perfect choice. If she had any chance of keeping his attention she needed to look nice and that. She knew others girls swooned over men in uniform and Kalia couldn't judge them really after all she was one of them.

"Well, my definition of fun is changing a bit now that I'm part of the Republic. It's a whole new world here compared to what am used to with rules and regulations. Lately I have been just exploring my new turf so to speak as this is my first week. I lived on a ship so most days were an adventure dodging the Empire and the Republic. I think the only dull time we had was during long treks in space were I would tinker with the ship or catch up on holodramas. I love exploring new planets, meeting new people. When I get the chance I love flying to but nobody ever lets me fly their craft so I'm waiting till I get a chance to take FireFly for a spin. I also enjoy hanging out and talking to you. So, what do you do for fun besides modify starships?"

John blushed, " Surely my uniform isn't that impressive. but that sounds like interesting times, I am glad though that instead of dodging the Republic and empire you are part of the Republic or else I would of never met you. I will have to sneak you in my ship. " He smiled walking with her, he couldn't believe she had taken his arm, the feeling a of a girl this close to him... that she really liked him enough to take his arm... and go to dinner with him blew his mind. John had never had a girl this close to him, let alone treat him like this. " What do I do for fun, well, I plan modifications for my starship... I study tactics... I read and spend time on the holonet, hmm that's about it really ." He said... realizing he didn't do much on the side.

John smiled as they arrived at the restaurant, and he got them a private booth for two, he was pretty sure the only reason was because he was military... but he didn't care. They were led to a closed in booth, and presented with menus. " Well this place is nice, I didn't realize that they had so much variety" He said looking over it all.. he had to find a meal that was appropiate for a date... what foods were those again... why hadn't he paid attention to his mother... there were things you weren't suppose to order when on a date... what were they....

She was pretty sure even if he hadn't met her here at the Republic he would have met her on patrol which would not end up in dinner but instead with her in hand cuffs. Kalia blushed a little at the thought of that for some reason though she wasn't exactly sure why at the moment. It was by chance that she had even met him today as she didn't have the clearance to be in that hanger.

"If you ever want to mess around with or modify my ship your more than welcome to as long as you promise not to break it." Kalia knew he wouldn't and having him modify her ship was a good excuse to spend more time with him not that needed it. She really liked him in a different way than her brothers though maybe it was a crush but she wasn't sure as she had never really done anything like this before. Her brothers had done a really good job of keeping her away from other guys who may try "funny" stuff. "Going on your ship sounds fun but I don't want you to get in trouble. Is there a reason a Jedi would be on a Navy ship? Perhaps we can get me on there legitimately." She would hate to see him get into trouble all because of her.

"I would think pasta would be out of the question as its too messy but chicken or steak couldn't be too bad, right?" Kalia was just as clueless as him when it came to date food.

John smiled, " Now don't go promising such things or you won't recognize it. " he said with a laugh, He might take her up on it. As it would allow him to see her again. He thought of a legitimate reason.. there was none.. but then again he could sneak her in, he thought. " Do we have to have a legitimate reason. " he said with a smile, as she would be worth the trouble. " I would think so, I think I will have a nice Nerf Steak, and have whatever you want, my treat" He said, glad to have something worthy to spend his money on. She was worth it. John liked her he decided, she was pretty, funny and well he had yet to find a flaw. " So if I helped you out on your ship, is there anything you would want done first?"

"No, we don't need a legitimate reason. I'm not apposed to breaking a few rules," she smiled winking at him. A legitimate reason was nice to have but they didn't need one. If they got caught she could come up with something on the fly. Kalia was pretty good at doing that. Hopefully though she wouldn't need it as the last thing she wished to do was get him in trouble. He was a sweet guy and she well could be a trouble maker at times.

"Oh, I umm..thank you," she smiled at John. Kalia had thought about arguing with him about paying for dinner but decided against it at the last second. If he wanted to pay than she would let him. Next time she was totally buying though. This whole little outing was looking more and more like a date and less like just dinner but she didn't mind. "Everything looks so good but I think I'll have the Nerf Steak as well. It sounds really good and less messy than some of this other stuff." Having decided the young lady set her menu down to the side.

"Well, I was thinking of starting off easy though I have no idea where that would be." Honestly she had suggested it so she had an excuse to see him again. He would need help fixing it up of course. "It would be nice to be able to go faster and have more fire power. Knowing myself I'm going to need it. What do you think? What would you do to it?"

John smiled " Well good, then once I can pull it off, you and me will take a ride, It will blow your mind I promise you. " He liked the idea of showing her his fighter.. it was his pride and joy at the moment. He smiled, she got the same thing as him, was that because she was worried about expense? he didn't care... what he didn't spend on food and starship parts he just saved anyways " So you want it faster and have more fire power... Hmm I would probably either replace or tweak with the engine... and then the guns are another matter, you can make some tweaks in their algorithms and you can also tweak their power supply. We could also just replace them with higher powered lasers. But then we would probably have to make sure your reactor could handle it. " He went on for a bit about types of upgrades and the advantages... "I am sorry I didn't mean to bore you... um Lets talk about something else " He blushed realizing he had just went on and on. " What is your favorite planet, I remember you mentioned you traveled alot, whats your favorite place you ahve been? "

"I'll hold you to that," she grinned. It was going to be so much fun, she couldn't wait! No matter where they flew off to she knew it would be a lot of fun. It would almost be like there own mini-adventure. The more she thought about it the more excited she got whatever trouble she got in would be totally worth it.

As he jabbered away about upgrades and modifications she just listened smiling. It was easy to see that was what he was most passionate about. He really knew his stuff too it seemed as she had no idea what half of what he talked about meant but that was alright she didn't mind just listening to him. It was kind of cute seeing how excited it made him just talking about it. "It's quite alright, I don't mind listening. I don't think your boring all in fact your teaching me the pros of certain modifications. I will though give you free reign to make whatever modifications you think are best as its pretty obvious you know what your doing." If he wanted he could jabber on about ships the rest of the date or was it dinner..whatever she wouldn't mind.

"Umm, that's a hard one. I always thought Naboo was pretty with the forests, waterfalls, and open fields. I like Endor for the Ewoks as they are cute little fuzzy creatures. The forests are nice there too you could get lost for hours. Speaking of forests have you ever been to Baroonda? They have beautiful forests, sandy beaches and even a volcano. It's really a great place to go and not nearly as crowded as the beaches of Spira. Have you been anywhere else? Do you have a favorite planet?" She wondered if he just patrolled around this planet or if he had gone off other places. "You know gone off into deep space anywhere."

John had to admit... he had never really been anywhere but the halls of various starships... he didn't take much time off.. he wanted to get ahead, and you didn't get ahead spending all your time having fun, granted he might have to change that policy for Kalia, if she was indeed serious about it all. " Are you sure... I wouldn't want to make your ship to complicated... " He knew it was true.. if she let him have free reign she wouldn't be able to get it off the ground without some lessons, it would be a different ship. " Well how are we going to pay for all of these modifcations, as I will put the easy ones in no prob, as most of them are just tweaks.. but for serious modifications takes money. " He said... but then they were on his subject... " you have been all those places!, no.. I have just been in starships and various bases... I don't normally go explore... the planets.. but hearing you talk about them makes me want to!"

"I'm sure if your willing to show me how to run it and do the work. I want to help of course and I'll pay you in pizza or something. I don't expect you to do this for free of course. I have some money for parts and can figure out ways to get what we need." The ways might not be totally legit but that was yet to be seen. She wasn't worried about the ship right now especially since he just said he really hadn't been anywhere. Kalia was a work alcoholic as well but she knew sometimes you needed to stop and smell the roses. During her adventures she used space time to study up on different things lately that had been engrossing herself in Jedi studies.

"I know this is going to sound crazy but we should go somewhere together. Anywhere you want to go, I'll take you. I'm serious. Name the place and we'll go," she nodded smiling. " I know you have worked hard to get where your at and I'm not looking to detail that. In space there is a lot of downtime so you can still do your studying. I know that's what I used to do in the sky." Pausing for a moment she looked down to her hands. This was such a ridiculous off the wall idea but she wanted to share with him the wonders she had seen.She knew he had to be shocked with her just springing this on him but why not? He hadn't been anywhere and she wanted to show him what he was missing. It wasn't all just goofing off either as she truly believed that these experiences helped in your career even his. It made you more cultured or something. "I mean if you want to go. No pressure of course, just think about it."

" Lets go to Baroonda" He knew it was crazy, He had leave saved up, leave so he could do it. but it was insane a girl he just met... and she wanted to take him away to a planet.. and he had just said yes. " Your insane but I think we should go... I have never done anything... and I have enough leave" He couldn't believe it. He had said yes... his face would show just how unbelievable even him found it. John smiled, " Well I shall do the upgrades while we fly if you can get some parts for the trip. " John smiled at her... she brought out a side of him, he didn't even know he had. He smiled as their food was brought, he still couldn't believe that he had told her yes. " great, I can't wait for it"

To think he was going to Baroonda, it still was amazing. He wanted to go with her.. he was begining to like her. She was cute... fun and spontaneous, he needed that in his life.

Kalia couldn't help get a big smile on her face as he told her he wanted to go to Baroonda with her. It had been a good long while since she had actually been to that planet and going with him would just make the trip that much more fun. It was obvious that she liked him after all if hadn't she would not have invited him.

"I promise you a trip you'll never forget. We can go whenever you want to and in the meantime I'll figure how to get us those parts. It shouldn't be too complicated." She may be insane but he was going along with it which was awesome. She knew they would have a fun time together. All she needed to do was find parts and get some time off herself which shouldn't be too hard. It was hard for her to contain her excitement but somehow Kalia was doing exactly that. She never was spontaneous like this but for some reason this just sounded right.

Cutting into dinner she munched on a piece of steak as she thought for a moment wondering if there was anything specific she should tell him to bring. A blaster and comfortable clothing but that was a given right? He was smart enough to know that on his own but a friendly reminder never hurt. "I suggest comfortable clothing and bringing your blaster just in case. This steak is really good."

I just have to notify my superiors with my request and Iam sure I can get off next week and longer, He smiled, eating some of his steak, it was really good. He was definitely glad that he had taken her to dinner. " I still can't believe we are just going to Baroonda. I have never done anything like it. and the food is great... I am glad we chose here. " Clothes and a blaster... what did she expect... well about that. " What if I don't have a blaster?" He said admiting he didn't have one, he knew how to use one, part of the military but didn't have one himself.

John looked at the stunning beauty in a green dress with a smile, wondering how he got her to go to dinner with him. Now she was taking him to a planet far away... he wasn't sure what had had got into him. but he was going with her, he had a large smile on his face.

"Sounds good wonderful! I'll give you my number so you can let me know. It shouldn't be an issue. I shouldn't have any issues getting time off. I'm sure he will use it as some sort of test of my skills." Before forgetting she wrote her number down on her napkin and slid it to him. The only thing that could be problematic was the parts but she would figure it out.

"Don't worry, I always keep a spare which you can use. I don't expect use needing to use it but I rather be safe than sorry." She didn't ask if he knew how to use it as she figured all military was taught to shoot. He wasn't used to needing to use it though or being on the ground so this would be an interesting trip indeed. Kalia hoped it didn't prove to be too much for him but he would be fine she was sure. He had to have gone though some sort of boot camp right?

"I can't believe you said yes. I for sure thought you would just call me crazy and think it was a joke. I'm glad you didn't and agreed to come. We really are going to have fun I promise." Taking another bite of he steak she smiled. She really was a lucky girl getting John to come along with her. Come run away on an adventure with me they both had to be a little crazy.

John smiled, He got her number... He took it with a smile. John Walsh had a girls number. " Ok, that works out great, but I hope we have fun, I am putting my faith in you. " He said eating more of his steak. " your great I am lucky to have met you, I am certainly glad to have you stumble upon me. "
He didn't know what else to say, he didn't want to make a fool out of himself. So he just smiled and stayed silent. For a while, he just admired the girl in a green dress in front of him. He was amazed. He didn't want to screw his chances... but he had just agreed to go all the way to Bardoona with her... what had he gotten himself into. He smiled... well maybe they could get to know each other a bit better " So What is your favorite food, and color? and where are you from?"

"Thanks, it means a lot. I know it will be fun no matter what we end up doing on the planet even if its just laying out on the beach. You have to see the volcano though its breath taking." She had all the faith in the galaxy that he was going to have a good time. She was going to show him a good time. It was her mission for now at least. "You went though like a boot camp right? Cause we may end up camping in the woods."She grinned at just the thought of that as she took another bite of her steak. There were no fine restaurants in the forest.

"I like the color pink actually but blue is a close second. I make this amazing Lasagna and homemade garlic bread. I think it's the best thing I cook but than again I'm partial to my food. I make a lot of other things too like cookies and that. I was born on Corellia but when I was about nine my parents were killed. I was picked up by smugglers but lost my brothers in the process of it all. I don't know where they are. The smugglers are my family though they kind of adopted me so everything turned out alright." She didn't want to be all doom and gloom about her family so she quickly turned the conversation back on him.

"So, where are you from? Have any siblings? What's your favorite color and food? Also what's your favorite type of cookie? I'm going to make some for the trip." Kalia stopped herself from asking more questions for the time being she didn't want to ambush him.

John smiled, "Of course I had boot camp, I can handle myself in the woods no problem, can you? " He said with a smirk eating her steak more. " So your favorite food is food you make.. Well then, you will have make some for me, it will be payment for me upgrading your ship" He said, hoping that her cooking was as good as she said it was. and he realize that her family was a touchy subject " I am glad you had such a good adopted family then. " the secret compartments now made sense. "
"So, where are you from? Have any siblings? What's your favorite color and food? Also what's your favorite type of cookie? I'm going to make some for the trip."

" Well I am from courscuant, I have no siblings, and your dress happens to be my favorite color, ironcily enough I love Lasagna, and Tacos... and hmm thats a tough one... Snickerdoodles" He said with a smile... she cooked... she was wonderful how did he find a girl who explored the galaxy, love ships.., was a jedi, and invited him on an adventure on the first date. He couldn't believe it. " So does that cover it all?" He asked eating some more steak... He was having fun, and seemed really interested in her.. and he was leering at her breasts but looked her in the eyes, which he swore he could get lost in.
" So, If you could go anywhere in the galaxy, where would it be?"
