Voph turned, smiling at [member="Lady Kay"] simply. "And with any luck, that may yet come to pass. Do not become so focused on others that you lose sight of yourself. You and your husband have taken on a great burden. Do not make the same mistake of countless others and become consumed by it." Voph took one last sip of the tea he'd been offered, draining the rest of the cup. "I never allowed myself the time for a family, and not a day goes by I don't wish I had valued the things that matter."

He bowed to Kay, his face falling back to a neutral and measured setting. "I thank you for your hospitality, Your Highness. The tea was excellent, I shall have to obtain some for myself. And... I hope that my musings have not stepped across my bounds. May the Force illuminate your every path. And may you have the wisdom to know which one is right." With that, Voph turned to leave, considering her inquiry to leave him to his work as a dismissal. And he never was one to keep a being from their work.

And she did lose sight of herself. She felt it deep inside. It was almost like how she felt after being brought back after months of captivity nearly two decades ago. Except back then fear of everything being taken away was what drove her. And now? She had had pretty much everything taken away a few times over and she remained as the only constant. It was almost lonely in some respects.

But she didn't let anyone know of her thoughts. What good would that do? It wouldn't change anything. Such is the burdens of her position. There's no room to complain.

Kay bowed her head to [member="Voph"] as he made his way to depart. "Oh don't worry about overstepping boundaries. There's little concern about that. But thank you. If you need anything, you'll know where to find me."
