The small Mandalorian clone looked up as the voice of the Briika lady interrupted the cinematic scene playing out in his imagination.

Something something good job. Something something go wash up.

See? It wasn't necessary to actually listen to adults. You could just kinda listen and get the important bits. "Yes, ma'am," the small clone chirped brightly in reply. The one brightside to his being a clone was that his obedience programming didn't allow for him to talk back easily. It could still happen, but it usually took time before the boy's patience finally gave way.

Thus far the only person that this had really come into play with was [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"], with the small Clone Trooper ready to declare his own Mandalorian Crusade over how the Jedi boy cheated at HoloStation.

Leaving his toys on the ground, the small boy pushed himself up from the forest floor to sprint over to where Lok was standing. There was no walking when you were a kid. Everything was a race. "Let's go!" the child offered, with far more enthusiasm than was required.

Wait, had he seen any water when he'd been gathering firewood earlier?

"Uhhh... where we goin'?"

Briika watched the two boys go off to wash up for the mid-day meal for a moment, then got to actually making the food. They would be having roasted rabbit with a berry sauce to dip it in. It was always a favorite of Bree's when out hunting in North Country with her father and brothers when she was young. Gods… Now she was a mother and grandmother of her own. Where had all the time gone to? It seemed just like yesterday Briika had done her verd'goten. It made Bree a bit sad that she was going to miss Jair's, though maybe she could be a part of Lok's, and the other Munin cadets that reach the pivotal point in their Mando life.

While the meal cooked on the open fire on a spit, and she awaited for the teenage Munin and the young Fett clone to return from the lakeside nearby, Briika took a moment to send a message to the Cuir Rekr that things were going well, and that she missed him as the Akaan was on Cartao looking into a cloning facility there while she took his cadets on a camping adventure.

"Four… Why don't you go check on Three and Lok for me. The food is almost ready," Bree said to 3X744's BB droid. It beeped what she thought was an affirmative, then the ball-like droid rolled off in the direction the boys went seemingly in a happy mood.

A kind of good aspect whenever Lok was high off from his spice was that he was full of fun and energy, and didn't really mind a whole lot if a little clone trooper wanted to race him down to the river stream so that they could wash off. Of course, Lok's coordinator wasn't that great since the symptoms of the drugs were still in his system and caused him to loose his balance from something. When was he going to go back to the normal and real him? It would take several hours for him to relieve himself from the state he was in and jump in right back into reality which was something he would really want to evade now that Bree had discovered his spice habits and would most likely tell his adopted father of this. Oh, he was going to beg and beg to his adopted father's significant other so that he wouldn't get the hammer of punishment.

The clone and the teenager slowed down as they didn't know the way to river stream which caused Lok fall down to ground and slid on the muddy ground with his face and body. He laughed and giggled from his own clumsiness and tried to get back up on his own two feet, not realizing that one of his foot was standing on a bear track that seemed relatively fresh and new.

"To the river so that way we can eat," the youngster said to Three very enthusiastic and then pointed in one direction with his finger, assuming it was where the river was. "It's that-a-way! Follow me," and began heading off towards whatever direction he pointed off to, not knowing if there was a river stream waiting for them so that their hands could be washed for their mid-day meal.

Draco Vereen | Caspian Rekali | Ginnie Ordo

Ra came upon Draco as he was staring quizzically at the sign that said "WAIT HERE, GONE".

Ra quirked an eyebrow.

"It was supposed to say wait here, I've gone hunting." Ra threw a deer down next to the flames. Or at least he thought it was a deer. It looked like a cross between a giraffe and a deer. And a donkey.

To be honest, Ra had no idea what it was.

"I'm going to eat this," he pointed down at the dead creature and inhaled deeply. "And then I'm going to sleep in it's skin."

His eyes looked to Draco, then to the animal. Then the Iron Wolf nodded his head and began to knife into the beast. He carved upwards, he carved downwards. He carved outwards and inwards. He carved out and around and inside. His knife found every pore, every crevice. The meat was skinned, beaten, peeled and cut.

And then dinner was served.

Brecka clenched and unclenched his fists over and over. Everything was on the knife edge now. Viszla’s Mandalorians were approaching fast, undeterred by his attempt to use a hostage. That little light on the side of the cloning tank taunted him with its slow pulsing. It was nearly ready.

Of course, he would never harm the hostages. He had a sense of honour after all. Brecka picked up a heavy pistol, keeping his eye on the sealed doors. On the other side of it his men fought for every second.

Davon shouldered through a side door as the heat became too much for him. Parts of his armour faintly glowed from the amount of energy they’d absorbed. Whilst beskar could take a pounding, it would eventually absorb so much heat it roasted him alive.

Out of the line of fire he took another cryoban grenade from his belt and slotted it into place.

Second batch, using Star Tours once again. 12 WA-7s, 24 R9 astromechs (1500 cr apiece), a bacta tank (6000 cr), an IM-6 droid (2500 cr), 87,500 cr for the command and control equipment, 10,000 cr for an additional 20 beds, 10,000 cr for an age-accelerating greenhouse, their bill was going up. Nevertheless she knew it wasn't the end of the work, and hypermatter wasn't either. Without knowing which fighters would be stationed on it would be useless to order spare parts or even maintenance equipment, and technicians would have to be brought in alongside the droids - while the droids were capable of doing the job on the craft, there were those times where droids needed supplements for diagnostic checks and ordering the parts. The technicians would be there in more supervisory roles, and the WA-7 droids would do the more menial tasks of the base, until the pilots are punished. Plus standard procedures dictated that there would be at least as many astromech droids as there are going to be fighters stationed in there.

"Second order is away"

"It makes me nervous, witch doctor, is the upkeep of a fighter base on Azure worth the cost to Clan Lok?"

"If necessary I can sell off part of my stake in IGR and/or Pizza Hutt"

As the Akaan and his clansmen were escorted through the white, clean, and immaculate hallways of the cloning facility he received a holotext message from Bree which he immediately attended to. Usually if someone like Draco, Ijaat, or Arrbi were to send him a holotext message, he would probably reply back in an hour or two; however, that wasn't the same case for the battle medic which happened to be his significant other. When he got a message from her, he would stop whatever he was doing and immediately compose a message to reply back to her. Apparently, everything was going well with the Munin cadets and that she missed him. He was glad to hear that everything was going well with the camp and he was immensely happy to know that he was in her thoughts just like she was in his. He replied back to her saying that he was glad that she wasn't getting any troubles from the camping trip, and told her that he missed her so much but that they would soon be in each other's arms again. He ended the message with a kissing, winking, bear hugging, and heart holomoji and sent it to his beloved.

"Alor, who was that," said a nosy Munin clansmen that happened to hold the rank of Ranger.

Now, Vilaz wasn't going to tell him that he was replying a message that was sent from the woman that he loved. No, he was going to alternate that with a lie because the Akaan sure didn't want anyone to know about his love relationship with Bree. Not that it was forbidden or wrong, just that he enjoyed his privacy as well as the golden blonde.

"I think Ra butt texted me. Sent me a wall of text full of the winking holomoji," the Alor answered to his clansmen with a lie. They were then nearing the end of the hallway as they came up on a grand door that seemed to be the office of the clone facility's director. Outside of it was a secretary and noticed the presence of Vilaz and the Vanguard, and immediately sent a message to whoever was behind that door that their guests were waiting for him or her.

Draco was being rather quiet, so Ra ignored him.

Besides, the questionable deer animal was ready to eat, and Ra didn't hesitate. He was so hungry. Salivating at the mouth, Ra leaned over and hastily began to consume the flesh of the deer. He went primal for a second - not because he was shifting, as he had never shifted forms in front of another Mandalorian, but because he just desired this damned deer to be in his stomach so much. Eyes widened, mouth opened wide. Visceral tearing of cooked meat went back and forth as Ra began to tear into the flesh.

It was damned good.

Ra looked over at the emptying carcass of the deer, and pushed over a metal wreckage forged plate in Draco's direction.

"Would you like some?"

They didn't have forks.

The small Mandalorian clone gave a gasp as Lok went face down into the mud.

As it became clear that the teenager wasn't hurt, that concern melted into a fit of giggling as the child looked at the mud-covered Mandalorian.

Then, because reasons, the child dove down the hill. Bodysliding through the mud and muck, an avalanche of mud arrived next to Lok as the copper-skinned boy landed at the teen's feet. He hadn't fallen, and that had been quite deliberate. But he was about nine years old and, thus, really needed no reason to play in mud.

Clumps of wet soil and leaves clung to his wavy hair, as the boy's dirt-stained faced grinned up from the ground. Could they do that again?

"It's that-a-way! Follow me!"

Picking himself up from the ground, the boy's short legs were pumping as he raced after the larger teenager.

In the distance, up on the top of the hill, the small BB unit rolled up just as the two boys were disappearing into the treeline. Making a series of beeps and whistles, seemingly to itself, the small droid continued rolling on.

The fire in the distance made teenaged Ginnie Ordo rush. Fire plus smell equalled... a happy Tuk'ata. Wembley raced off for the spot where [member="Ra Vizsla"] and [member="Draco Vereen"] rested with a gigantic piece of meat.

"You're alive! Aw sweet bippy!" Ginnie wheezed. She put both hands on her knees and breathed deep until the panting in her buy'ce went down. Gee, when a girl sees wreckage in an open field and goes running, sometimes it could be miles instead of metres.

"Oya!" Pant, wheeze. "Mando'ade!" Wheeze, pant. "Wembley, sit!" The Tuk'ata hadn't filled out its' seven foot frame, yet. Barely into his adolescent years, the massive Sith Hound bounded over and around Ra Vizsla in circles, snuffling and clicking in what was Wembley's attempt at language. Wembley sat on his hindquarters and shuffled closer to the fire.

A girl in pink Beskar'gam saluted Ra and waved. "Ginnie Ordo, Mand'alor... wow. You are, aren't you? I mean, Buir let me see your picture on the holonews, wow! Um... I'm sure the meat's good but don't you want a blanket, Sir? I mean, you're probably have a plan, but if you wanna... I've ummm..." Ginnie pointed behind her.

"I brought my ship. Need a ride? Wembley won't bother you unless you shoot at him. He's a good hound."

While the dragon became rather quiet Caspian watched as the Iron Wolf stalked, killed, and even elected to cook the deer himself. Naturally Caspian readily offered his assistance but he wouldn't have it, Mand'alor wouldn't be having his subordinates cook his food for him. But it was when they sat down to eat the kill that he learned the most out of Ra, subtle nonverbal cues that said a hell of a lot more than what words could. There was an animalistic, almost feral presence in Ra's demeanor as he tore into the meat. It was the demeanor of a predator at the climax of the hunt, standing triumphant over his slain prey.

It was surprising how Ra had this uncanny gift of composing himself in such a calm, collected demeanor while dealing with diplomats, dignitaries, and even other mandalorians. But during combat or situations such as this Ra let the wild side out. Caspian readily tore into the deer it had been awhile since they ate last, and the deer tasted great. Once his acute hearing picked up on the movement towards them Caspian tensed, pointing his wrist bowcaster in the direction of the noise. To his surprise a young woman in pink beskar'gam moved out of the brush and towards them. She was very young and extremely nervous being in the presence of Mand'alor, an odd reaction for one of their culture but he chalked it up to her age.

The Young Warlock gazed over at Ra and waited for him to respond first before he would add anything.

By now Cathul could sense the Republic approaching her and wanting a staging area for some operation in Mandalorian space. The base was not yet fitted with fighters, so for the Republicans, it was a do-or-die opportunity to gain Azure without a fight. For the time being Azure was unofficially Clan Lok property and Cathul was the de facto ruler of Azure, meaning that, if she betrayed the Clans right here, she would bring Azure along with it. But that was a difficult decision to make. On the one hand she didn't harbor as many hard feelings for the Republic as she had for the Sith factions, especially since her former master betrayed the Clans for one such Sith faction, while the reverse is true of most on the Alor'e Council and the Mandalorian military chain of command. Probably her requests for bringing Mandalore's mental healthcare infrastructure up to standard would be granted in the light of the Crusade taking place, which were denied several times in the past. She still took the time to read the letter issued to Cathul by the Republic Senate:

----------------------------------

To: Cathul Thuku
From: The Armed Services Senate Committee
Subject: Azure

It has come to our attention that an abandoned base on Azure has been rediscovered and reconditioned up to current standards. Since Azure is in a strategic location inside Mandalorian space, We are sure that you could be amenable to negotiation concerning the use of the Azure starfighter base upon completion. Even though the capability of said base is at present quite limited, we know that providing a proper logistical base is important for us if we were to launch an attack on Mandalorian space at a later date. At this time we're afraid that we cannot discuss terms just yet. We await your response.

Yours truly,
The Armed Services Committee

----------------------------------

"We somehow attracted the attention of the Republic! The Republic knows we're here!"

"How could they know about our presence?"

"I can't simply make a decision regarding Azure without first knowing about the terms the Republic has to offer!"

Ra looked to the girl and raised an eyebrow, and then he looked over to Caspian and Draco.

He took a bite of his deer donkey, and then he chuckled.

Aging bones ached as the massive man stood to his feet, dropping the remainder of his meal in the fire as he looked at the girl, his green eyes illuminating in the darkness. Not many people knew Ra, personally. He'd been a nobody until a month ago. Of course they would only know about him of his picture in the holonews.

The Iron Wolf took his cloak and wiped the corners of his mouth, smiling at the girl.

"My friends and I seemed to be stranded."

He pointed at the wreckage of their transport.

"Might you be so kind to give us a ride?"

Davon rolled around the corner in one smooth motion. The gentlest squeeze of the trigger was what wrought the destruction. The cryoban grenade once again detonated in mid-air, right in the midst of the defenders.

Davon dropped the rifle and ran. Augmented strength got him to full speed in just a few strides as he drew his beskad. One of the defenders had been covered from the blast and Davon dropped to his knees, skidding the last metre as he lashed out. A frozen mandalorian had his leg severed at the knee.

A blaster bolt lanced over Davon’s head as he leapt back up. His left hand caught the barrel of the rifle and drove it up. His right dropped the beskad, swapping it for a knife. The blade found the gap between armour plates at the neck and was driven home. Davon held the man against the bulkhead until he stopped struggling.

The wonderful aroma of roasting rabbit began to bellow around the fire pit where the battle medic was cooking mid-day meal in the camp for the cadets. A particular musical tone sounded that indicated Briika had received a holotext message from [member="Vilaz Munin"]. The Cuir Rekr must have already received hers and responded. It brought a big smile to her face as she read it. The rugged Concordia was so whipped it wasn't funny, but the golden blonde loved him for it so that is all that mattered. Yep.. Briika in love again, though hadn't said the words out loud to him yet to tell Vilaz just how much she cared for the Akaan and Alor of Clan Munin.

Briika sent back another loving message with some tantalizing mentions of things to come when they reunited that should get her beloved's mind going, then her attention went back to the task at hand… She checked the rabbit one more time as it was nearly done and put it to a cooler area of the fire, then pulled back on her buy'ce and grabbed her rifle as the boys weren't back yet. Where had they gone off to, but more important what were they up to?

[ Lok, Three… Four, this is Briika. Report in please. Your food is ready. I need you back at camp. ] Bree keyed over the comm frequency with a tone of concern and irritation the teenage Munin, the young clone, and his BB unit should be able to receive, that is if they had their comlinks turned on.

Draco had let the Mand'alor go about his business, and during that time the Warlord had gone about piecing together a simple shelter. Nothing impressive, just something to get out of the weather if it ever started. In the mean time Ra had collected a small pile of Agrocite and went hunting and returned some kind of llama-giraffe-donkey creature from the wilderness.

It likely hadn't seen it coming when the golaith had fell upon it, and from the looks of the corpse, it wasn't beaten very badly. Not like the Mand'alor had used it like a heavy bag or anything.

Draco looked up at the girl and sat back down beneath the little shelter he had made. It would be a little girl that killed them, not a crash that could have been prevented with competent pilots and larger space craft. This venture would only work to further ensure he didn't invest heavily in personal transports that didn't come with decent sized crews. How many reports were there of Star Destroyers crashing from random circumstances compared to dinky shuttles like they had been using.

Ra spoke about the girl giving them a ride and Draco shrugged. Yep, they were probably going to die in a fiery crash. The second in a day.

"What's the delay?" Davon asked as he recovered his rifle. The old thing was a heavy, reassuring weight. It had been at his side through years of battles. Despite being high maintenance it was a tough old thing, as useful as beating a man to his knees as it was at firing grenades.

"They've sealed the doors again," Sam replied. "Hostages right on the other side of these doors. Even if your Force using friend was around..."

"Anyone even seen her?" Davon grunted. Most of his joints ached now.

"Nope no sign. As if she vanished into thin air."

"Bugger."

"She was pretty handy too," Sam observed. "Then again you can still shift for an old man when people are trying to shoot you."

"Perhaos if I kept getting shot at I'd have the elixir of life. These men didn't die to buy time for a hostage situation. They're using the cloning machines, for something they feel it's worth dying for."

Wembley sniffed and chittered as Ra threw meat on the fire. The Tuk'ata sat up, his fore-paws reaching for the deer-donkey's leg bone. Trails of guttural and sharp 'k', 't' and 'ch' sounds flooded out of the hound. Ginnie's buy'ce swung to the side.

"Would he've thrown it onto the fire if he was gonna eat it, Wembley? Use your words, ya goof. Know Mama Rianna don't like you talkin' Sith. Gives her the Heebie Jeebies."

Wembley scooched his backside closer to [member="Ra Vizsla"] and held out his massive claw-ridden forepaws. "Pl'iiiiikkkkkkzzzz?" Wembley's massive jaws opened wide, three rows of razor toothed fangs protruding out around a lolling pink tongue. His fur had fluffed up in the cold. What could Ginnie do? Her pet was a glutton. The girl stood a bare five feet tall in her beskar'gam, which had been cared for meticulously despite the pock-marks, armour weave repair and dings which betrayed her appearance in battle. She looked between the three men and sighed, her shoulders rising and falling in her armour.

"Course, Sir! S'why I came to find survivors. That crash was epic! C'mon, you guys must be getting cold. Let me help."

Ginnie shoved both hands toward the ground. Yanked upward. Ra's fire funnelled up in the air away from the men into a pillar nearly nine feet high. Ginnie pointed both fists and a band of fire shot off in a thick, warm waist-high wall.

"Dad says a good hunt, warm belly and vode make for a great day. Wembley! Recon. Run ahead, tell Shir to crank the engines. See if Me'dan'y has any spice buns left in the mess. We got another Mand'alor to eat at our table!" She looked back to Ra, Draco and Caspian.

"I ain't been around a Mand'alor since [member="Azrael"] asked me to help engineer the Bes'uliik!" Ginnie kept one of her fists clenched and pulled toward her chest. The fire wall surged as she walked toward her ship, following the girl's boot steps. "Why'd you guys crash? Engine troubles?"

"Incompetence, really." Mand'alor responded to the girl's question as to how they crashed. "Improper hyper route planning."

Ra looked back at Draco and Caspian, then down at the girl.

She was apparently doing something with the Force and the flames. Ra recognized it immediately, and gestured his left hand towards the girl. "Not around me, please." The Iron Wolf didn't ask for much from his brothers, but he abhorred the use of the Force, especially in his presence. Too many Mandalorians succumbed to its addiction. Too many Mandalorians preferred it over their own hands and feet. Too many Mandalorians relied on it entirely.

The Force was like a curse that Ra was forced to tolerate. He hated it.

He hated everything about it.

Was it because it could be a form of power? Was Ra jealous that he didn't possess it?

He thought about this many nights, but Ra always came to the same conclusion.

The Force made men weak. It perverted nature. It cheapened hard work.

And it caused the Mando'ade to lose a piece of themselves, a piece of their culture.

A culture built without the Force

would never need it.

"The director will now see you" the secretary informed Vilaz and opened the door to the director's office.

The Akaan led the way in and brought only a squad of twelve Mandalorians with him and ordered the rest to either wait outside or go on and investigate the facility since the office wasn't that big to host large quantities of Mandalorians. As he entered the office, the Cuir Rekr received another holotext message from Bree and immediately put his attention to it. He read it and it was another loving message tantalizing phrases incorporated within the message. This really got his heart beating and motivated him to be done with his investigation here, so that he could be with the golden blonde and put all of his attention and time on her.

After reading the message, he began to type back to her and sent it to her after some editing and revisions to it. Like hers the message full of loving had some teasing in it, desiring to be with her and how the thought of her kept him from being bored from this investigation of his. A happy grin was on his face, but then it turned into a sour, plain, and serious face as the same nosy Ranger went in the Akaan's business. "Was that the Mand'alor again, Alor?" Frankly, Vilaz had enough of it and said to him in a calm tone, "You really like to get into people's business, eh? Keep it up and your nosy nose will have something to bleed about."

The Munin's attention was then diverted to the director that came out from what appeared his own personal restroom and approached Vilaz with his hand extended. The director appeared to be an Umbaran male and had this mysterious look on him which spelled nothing but trouble for the Mandalorian.

"Ah, welcome, Mister Munin. I am Drot Arsin, the director of this fine cloning facility. Now I hear that you wish to investigate our operations, correct?"
