Populate Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fondor — GA populate of Stobar

HAIuSyi.png
Following the shift of the Senate to Fondor, the Alliance has started its preparations and operations to stop the Empire's momentum and begin a counter-offensive to retake what was lost. Coruscant will be the beginning of this bloody conflict, and has been heavily fortified alongside other planets along the enemy border. Mass evacuations of civilians have begun to minimize casualties, and both the GADF and New Jedi Order are ready to engage the enemy. They must be stopped at Coruscant, so lost planets such as Tython, Empress Teta, and Prakith can be liberated.

In response to the refugee crisis within the core, senator Alicio Organa Alicio Organa has proposed a bill to establish a relief act. It will be the Alliance's first bill discussed not within the familiar Coruscant Senate, but at the Alliance General Ministry Canton on Fondor. The proposal comes at a good time, as both the Empire and Alliance ready itself to clash within the densely populated core of the Galaxy.

At the same time, the New Jedi Order has organized a training session for Padawans, Knights and Masters alike. These sessions are held at the Vonnuvi Enclave overseen by Amani Serys Amani Serys . The purpose of the training is combat within a changing environment. Jedi will be up against each other, but throughout their duels, unexpected challenges will be thrown at them.

Far away from Fondor and the Jedi Enclaves, on Coruscant itself, the GADF prepares for war. Soldiers are stationed and ordered in position, High ranking officers discuss tactics and strategies and together, and entire fleets amass to await the enemy. The Alliance Military stands ready to defeat its new enemy.

c5ju67l.png

Objective I — The Pan-Alliance Relief Act (PARA)
"The Alliance is facing a refugee crisis projected to be it's most brutal since the time of the Second Galactic Hyperspace War. To ensure the Alliance continues to make good on its promise of providing for all its citizens, and to combat the flow of refugees from the Core Worlds, a bipartisan coalition of Senators has stepped forward to propose an overhaul to the current system. The bill includes the establishment of SELCORE as a permanent Senate Committee, oversight programs to foster refugee cities on various planets in the Alliance, adoption of innovative housing and bacta production technology, and centralization of the GA's currently-scrambling relief efforts."

-Bill proposed by Alicio Organa Alicio Organa

cLlprTU.png

Objective II — Wartime training
With the younger Jedi moved to the Prosperity and Vonnuvi Enclave, the New Jedi Order Council has organized a training event for Padawans, Knights and Jedi Masters in preparation for Coruscant and the battles beyond. During these sessions, Jedi will pair up to spar each other, but throughout their duels, unexpected challenges will be thrown their way. These have each been designed by Valery Noble Valery Noble to test a Jedi's ability to adapt to a changing environment on the battlefield.

If you're up for the challenge, join the training sessions. If you're wanting to socialize with fellow Jedi instead, you're welcome to.

urXh4B2.png

Objective III — Prepare For Battle
While the Senate discuss bills and the Jedi host training sessions, soldiers, pilots and commanding officers of the GADF prepare for battle on Coruscant. Get ready in your positions, discuss tactics and prepare yourself and your brothers and sisters in arms for the ruthless battle on the horizon.

If the enemy wants Coruscant, they must first get through you.

"What is the bill proposed by the King of Alderaan?" Lodd said walking through the Alliance General Ministry Canton followed by a dozen or more staff aides and federation officals.

Concerned was etched onto his features, as the Trade Federation was starting to see itself become overstretched, supply lines were becoming shorter and pirate incursions were becoming a problem once more.

Lodd's brow furrowed as he contemplated the implications of these challenges on the stability of the federation. He knew that if these issues were not resolved promptly, it could lead to a potential crisis that would threaten the very foundation of their operations across the hyperlanes.

Several freighters and transports had inexplicably disappeared in the vicinity of the Dark Empire Quadrant, as they were rerouted to fund the Galactic Emperor's most recent undertaking.

It was a mistake for them to engage in negotiations with the Dark Empire, and attempting to exert influence over them only led to dire repercussions. "The King of Alderaan has proposed that his pet project of SELCORE, become a permanent commitee of the senate and the establishment of many programs for housing and refugees.". The senior staff aide responded by presenting him with the datapad containing information about the bill and its potential impact on the trade federation.

Lodd found no amusement in the King's endeavor to deprive the Alliance of additional currency, considering that they had already allocated a significant portion of the Alliance Credit towards mobilization efforts, leaving scarce resources for effective governance.

"I sure hope that His Highness from Alderaan does not think that credits grow on trees, to fund such broad programs."
The Neimoidian said, walking into the main conference chamber and taking a seat within the room.

Rise Above Your Station, Soldier.

Objective III
<This is an open message to the forces of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force currently stationed on Courscant. This is General Visz of the First Galactic Army. Many have told me that Teta was a failure. I would be the first to admit if it was. The Imperials who currently hold it sit on borrowed time. They believe that the time since the Second Great Hyperspace War, the great peace we have enjoyed, has made the GA weak. Soft. That this new generation of soldiers does not know conflict. At Teta, we held the line. Had it not been for the loss of the shield generator, we would have continued to hold the line. The Imperials saw firsthand that the GADF is not as weak as they assumed, and it took their own soldiers committing heinous acts of cowardice to force our retreat. But understand this. It was a retreat, not a defeat. Those of you who see that differently, understand this.>

<Coruscant is the birthplace of our Alliance. There will be no retreating. We have done our best to prepare, but the battle will be brutal. Those who have chosen to stay behind, and those who haven't been evacuated, I urge you to pick up a rifle just as the soldiers defending you have. I understand the risk. We will continue evacuating those we can, but the Imperials could strike at any time. Soldiers of the Alliance, I will leave you with the phrase I was told as a fresh faced officer. Rise above your station soldier. History has it's eyes on all of you.>

From her office on Fondor, Lupa let out a sign as she finished her message.

She had meetings. She needed to meet with other officers, those who were privy to plan of Coruscant's defense. As she left the office, she looked for those around. Surely, with how busy the GADF command barracks was, she'd run into someone.

23:00 || Lodd Grimmin Lodd Grimmin

The Koorivar Senator eagerly watched the arrivals of the other senators within the Alliance General Ministry Canton, each one coming to represent their planet within the chamber and exchange ideas and policies.

As the room filled with representatives from different worlds, the atmosphere became charged with anticipation and excitement for the upcoming discussions and debates.

Gansorm had carefully selected his seat next to the Minister for the Trade Federation, Lodd Grimmin Lodd Grimmin , as he pondered what the Neimoidian was contemplating in regards to the implementation of SELCORE.

He was well aware that diverting funds towards this initiative would inevitably hinder the Trade Federation's capacity to carry out business transactions smoothly as the Alliance Credit was being used as a sort of IOU for military hardware and equipment from the Defense Force's suppliers.

Leaning over to the Neimoidian to say a few words

"The implementation of SELCORE and such extensive programs will likely rattle our more corporate aligned friends within the chamber. While the bill itself is noble, it couldn't have come at a worst time considering the threat of the Dark Empire within the core region."

The Koorivar explained that while the bill was commendable and just, its introduction to the chamber was untimely.

Valery had considered participating in the sparring, and perhaps she still would, but there was something more pressing to address first. After several Core worlds fell to the Empire, the younger Jedi had been split between the Prosperity and the Vonnuvi Enclave to keep them away from Coruscant. A recent meeting with Thalia Senn Thalia Senn , however, had revealed some new information that could potentially change that again.

With how busy she has been overseeing the Vonnuvi Enclave, Amani Serys Amani Serys had not been able to attend the meeting where this information was shared. But it happened to concern her most of all, so Valery had requested a separate meeting at the Vonnuvi Enclave.

Jedi already had a reason to be there with the ongoing training event she had prepared. So even though she wasn't participating directly herself, she could at least see and feel the reactions to her challenges. She was eager to hear their feedback.

For now, Valery watched from atop a small bridge and waited for her dear friend to arrive.

The time just before a battle always had Jonyna antsy.

It was the feeling of things to come. The calm before the storm.

When Valery Noble Valery Noble had offered a training session for the NJO, Jonyna was quick to respond. She needed it. She needed to keep her edge. She knew what her plan was for whenever the Imperial struck. Giran would probably slap her for even suggesting it. But she had made her mind up already.

For now though, she would try and unwind the way she normally did. Connecting with her fellow jedi.

Kitted out in her normal combat attire, Jonyna held her saber at her side, taking a Form I stance. She had promised Kaleleon a duel, someone who had been inadvertently instrumental in her journey as a Knight. His trial had made her question things that could've boiled over differently had he not brought them to light in her mind.

Now she stood across from him.

"You ready?"

OBJECTIVE ONE
The seat designated for the Renascent Republic was occupied not by the cold and careful Natasi Fortan, its Senator and Sovereign, but instead by a doe-eyed woman known as Lady Adrielle Somerset whose brunette curls were tinged by a distinct undercurrent of copper. The shadows under her eyes were a product of long hours and the stress of a new environment. Her appointment as Delegate couldn't have come at a less convenient time; she had barely met any of the Senators due to the chaos of settling into a new environment. Mostly her job consisted of sitting behind the holoprojected image of Natasi herself.

Which she was doing right now.

Natasi Fortan wasn't on Fondor, but in her office in the Senate Rotunda on Coruscant. She watched on the feeds as Senators filtered into the chamber, the feed occasionally rippling with scanlines.

She was pleased with the text of the bill. The effort that had come out of the chance meeting of a myriad collection of senators seemed poised to take effect -- slowly but surely, given how glacially the wheels of motion moved in the Galactic Alliance, but something was better than nothing.

Or -- it would die, assassinated by the corporate interests who profited regardless of who succeeded in war, aided and abetted by sardonic wits who existed to obstruct and obfuscate, neither of whom cared about the pile of corpses would result.

Natasi straightened in her seat and rested her elbow on the armrest of her chair, waiting. Although she was an enthusiastic co-sponsor of the legislation, she didn't want to jump the gun and steal Alicio's thunder. It was important that the King of Alderaan got due credit for this measure, especially with the Chancellor's future uncertain.

Vera was getting ready for battle.

Mom, Dad and maybe even Briana Sal-Soren Briana Sal-Soren would likely hate the idea of her taking up her lightsaber to fight, but Vera wasn't a little kid anymore. According to Vera herself, anyway. She had grown with her visions, mastered her control of various skills, and she wasn't afraid anymore. She wanted to help people and be like her Master, Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el , her parents and so many more. They had all made a difference in the Galaxy, and one day it'd be her turn.

But that started with training.

Like the time she had sparred Eloise, this event was meant to bring Jedi together for training. Unlike last time, however, there were challenges waiting for all participants. Mom hadn't revealed what they would be, but knowing her, she was excited. They were going to make these duels far more interesting.

Now, she needed to find herself a sparring partner.

Grand Assembly, Alliance General Ministry Canton
Fondor
- Lodd Grimmin Lodd Grimmin - Monaray Dod Monaray Dod - Natasi Fortan Natasi Fortan - Senate
There was no floating pod for Senator Organa to dramatically fly out on, no booming hologram to project to a stadium, no great depth beneath one's feet to remind you of the fragility of leadership, in this new assembly hall. There was only a desk, a chair, and a microphone.

It gave Alicio some small amount of comfort. The Federal Assembly Building on Coruscant had always felt too extravagant for his tastes. This new rotunda was grounded, substantial, yet did away with the theatrics. Ironically, the Grand Assembly it was less grand. He liked it. It matched the simplicity of his outfit- a pure black suit, the only ounce of color being the white chalcedony pin on his lapel- his signet of office as Ruler of Alderaan.

Alicio stood as his time began, nodded to the room, and adjusted the multiple datapads laid in neat rows in his space. He paused a moment, reorganizing his thoughts one last time, before speaking. "Thank you, senators, all, for attending this meeting. We make history here today, as we participate in the first senate meeting hosted by our surrogate capital. Let's make it a good one, shall we?" The Alderaanian flashed a brief, small smirk. It didn't last long. Their subject today was no laughing matter.

"The details of this proposal, set in motion by myself and a group of like-minded delegates, should have found each of you, but I'll reiterate the broader points now."

"Currently, the Alliance is relying on disparate, unrelated relief drives to help the people affected by this war. Some have proven successful, others not. The effort on Ukatis, grown by Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania , is a good example of one that worked. Her drive succeeded because she managed to gain sympathy from across the Alliance, and organized the streams of revenue into an effective program."
Any chance he had to give Cora her laurels, of course he would take. "But Ukatis is a lightly-populated world, where fostering something local is feasible. With our dense populaces in the Core Worlds at risk, and with little to no infrastructure supporting their evacuation... it's time for a change. It's time to standardize success."

"PARA seeks to consolidate credits to a central relief fund, overseen by a permanent senate committee. It seeks for this committee to use the fund responsibly, to create homes and economies for those people displaced by war, and to sponsor technological advancements for the sake of the people's welfare, such as efficient transportation, and innovative medical and housing solutions."

The darkly-dressed man scanned the room, trying to find as many eyes as he could. He knew the obvious arguments against such a move, and felt he'd prepared well for them. Despite that... he hoped they could all see the necessity of the bill. He even hoped others had ideas to build upon it.

"I open the floor to discussion."

Wartime Training

Almost every battle, no matter what kind, had ended in its own kind of failure. The metal device following the curve of his spine was the latest testament to that. Soon the device would be removed at the end of his rehabilitation, but it was a reminder that when he had last clashed blades with a sith he had almost been cut in half.

His frustration had allowed a sith artefact from Lortan to almost take a hold of his mind. His body and his mind, both almost broken by the dark side of the Force.

He watched as Vera took to the sparring floor. The younger padawans now preparing to defend their homes.

Makko clutched Darkfyre, his lightsaber. His let a slow breath out. Anger and frustration were not the answer. At least Lortan had been a lesson.

He had to be calm. He had to be better.

"By the leave of this august body, I speak for Obulette."

Lady Vianca Mecetti was the widow of Lord Casteban Mecetti, who had recently fallen after what was judged to be a reckless and inexplicable charge against enemy forces. She knew the reasons for it, but did not find those reasons satisfactory. Now she had to live with the aftermath. The politics of the Tapani sector demanded she spin the loss as some kind of heroic (and unsupported) advance. But she'd have paid a king's ransom to have one more day with her husband.

That thing he'd left behind did not suit her.

"According to the customs of Obulette and the Tapani Sector nobility, I have taken my husband's place as representative to my people until the next election cycle."

That was an old custom, not entirely uncommon in the galaxy. It was designed to ensure the world was never without adequate representation.

And 'adequate' was shorthand for 'noble.'

"I regret that I can not meet with you in person today, as there are defense meetings I must also attend elsewhere. As you know, my late husband positioned most of the Mecetti province defense fleets at Coruscant, to defend the world against the aggression of the Dark Empire. He detached a flotilla to help with offensive efforts against the Dark Empire, but the majority of our defense fleets remain.

It is now left for me to direct those forces, in addition to speaking for Obulette."

She sighed heavily, as though the weight of events was on the verge of defeating her.

It was not entirely an act.

"On the issue of the refugee bill, I have this opinion: Citizens are only loyal to a government when that government is loyal to them. In fact, it is a motto of the Mecetti: "Family in Service to the State, the State in Service to the Family." And what is 'the state' but the people who comprise it?

This is not a question of expense. It is a question of responsibility. If we do not aid our people when they need it, then we do not deserve to lead them.

As such, Obulette will vote in favor of this Bill, and offers to construct as many colony ships as necessary at our Obulette shipyards to support the evacuation and relocation of refugees and the consequent construction of these refugee cities on un-used territory within safe member worlds.

We will do this at cost, without earning a single scintilla of profit. We invite others to join us."

Although she was only present by hologram, she turned her head to look at the place where Lady Pawla Arsec of Grindera Lady Pawla Arsec of Grindera was in attendance.

Woooo! Sparrin! There's gonna be challenges! Wooooo! Time to pick a fight! Pew! Pew! Bam! Boosh!...Wait. What was I meant ta be doin' again...Oh yeah! Gettin' ready for sparring!

Lestra stood in place, preparing for the training they were going to be getting...before getting far too impatient and instead he started to hop up and down in the spot, throwing various punches ahead of him to get himself warmed up and ready for whatever he was going to be facing! He was ready to go up anything! Of course, there were a few old people here like Makko Vyres Makko Vyres and Jonyna Si Jonyna Si and Lestra was worried that they'd totally throw their backs out doing the challenges. They needed to be doing their warms up and exercising! Yeah!

With that, Lestra then dropped down from his little hopping position to get to work doing push ups. He had too much energy and he wasn't willing to wait for the challenges to start before he went to work using all of it up! Plus it'd help with his stretches as well! Push himself up with one arm and stretch out with the other, then do the same but on the other side! Woo! This was going to be great! What's the worst that could happen?

The Neimoidian slightly turned his head towards the Koorivar Senator next to him, a close friend and ally within the assembly. Their bond had been solidified through years of working together, navigating the intricate web of politics that governed the Galactic Alliance.

It was no secret that the Trade Federation had a knack for persuading influential figures to align with their interests, and the Koorivar was no exception.

Upon hearing Monaray Dod Monaray Dod statement, he found himself concurring that the corporate sector within the Alliance would indeed be greatly disturbed by the allocation of funds towards relief efforts rather than towards supporting the corporations.

These corporations were considered the foundation of the Alliance Military Industrial Complex, and were a key factor in maintaining the strength of the Alliance Credit.

"I agree with your perspective. It is not a coincidence that the bill has been saved until this moment, as it is highly probable that it aims to secure a favorable position for the King of Alderaan, considering the ongoing rumors about the potential replacement or resignation of the current chancellor." The Neimoidian responded leaning over to the Koorivar, glancing over to Natasi Fortan Natasi Fortan 's holographic projection and lacky occupying her seat.

There was no concrete evidence available, however, it was probable that Alicio Organa would secure the position of the next chancellor if the current one falls out of favor with the Galactic Alliance populace.

He was aware of Alicio Organa Alicio Organa speech and found it suitable, and it seemed that the represenative from Obulette was in agreement. The Neimoidian couldn't stomach the thought of credits going towards relief efforts when they were needed for the front lines of the conflict.

He would make such a statement after the new senator of Obulette got done speaking.

"Although we agree that consolidating relief programs would bring benefits to all our citizens, it is important to highlight that the Galactic Alliance is currently involved in a comprehensive conflict against the New Empire. As a result, it is crucial to save every credit in order to obtain essential resources like supplies, weaponry, armor, bacta and kolto, medicine, vaccines, and to maintain our military fortifications. Given the limited budget, it is not feasible to allocate additional funds for extended credit towards these relief programs. It would be unfair to impose such financial burdens on our member-worlds."

The Neimoidian said from his desk, making a logical point that the Galactic Alliance could ill afford to be unprepared for the coming conflict with the Dark Empire and that all currency would need to be saved in order to win the conflict ahead.

Valor stood amidst the bustling training grounds, the med tracer on his wrist snugly locked in place, serving as a constant reminder that his condition and whereabouts were being recorded and monitored. . The recent conversation with Jedi Knight Ko Vuto Ko Vuto in the seemingly desolate library on Coruscant had been a stark contrast to the lively scene before him. Here, among the initiates and Padawans, he saw a chance--a rare opportunity to forge connections with others closer to his age, to learn from them and, perhaps, to fill a void he had never truly acknowledged.

He had never known friendship, and thus, he had never missed it. His life had been a solitary journey, marked by calm observation and stoic detachment. Yet, as he watched the intricate dance of lightsabers and the ebb and flow of Force abilities around him, he felt an inkling of something new--a yearning to belong.

Valor's keen eye for detail served him well as he surveyed the expansive training ground. The air hummed with the clash of blades and the focused intensity of Jedi Masters overseeing their students. He had signed up for the competition, driven by a curiosity, though he wondered if he would be accepted and paired with a partner. The lack of a personal blade--a symbol of a Jedi's identity--set him apart, an outsider even among his peers.

His gaze swept over the arena, capturing the subtleties of the battlefield.

Valor's mind teetered between anticipation and apprehension. This was a chance to build bonds and gain deeper insights into the shared path of the Jedi.

Objective 2: Wartime Training

With challenges came inevitably injuries. Especially with all of the Padawans being around, there was a high likelihood something was going to go wrong and someone was going to get hurt. That's why Shan had decided to show up to watch over things. Of course, there was also a bit of concern he had for Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti being involved in sparring. He wasn't sure how well she was going to take to the idea of fighting and combat. If she was anything like Shan had been...Not very well. But he had faith in his new Padawan. She was going to do well enou-Oh. She was going against Vera. Maybe...Shan should change his opinion on if Zaiya was going to do well...No. No. Every experience was a learning experience. Zaiya was going to learn something no matter the results of the spar.

For now, Shan stood towards the back of the room to keep an eye on as much as he could, holding his hands behind his back. Sparring and combat weren't for him, as much as it was going to be useful for the upcoming challenges coming to the Galaxy. There were plenty of times Shan resented the fact he couldn't take as naturally to combat as some of the other Jedi, but he had come to learn that he had his uses. He might not have the same respect as some other Jedi who rushed head first into battle might have came, but he had came to realise that meant very little. What meant the most to him was helping people.

So he stood here, waiting for the inevitable mishap where someone broke a limb, or got terribly hurt. Then he'd be able to be useful. Plus hey, it was nice to be able to stand back and relax, whilst watching the new generation practice.

Senator of Cato Neimoidia

"It would pose a challenge if the representative from Alderaan aspired to hold the position of Chancellor, creating a significant opportunity for change, dangerous change that might overturn the last remnants of Tithe's Administration."

Gansorm comprehended the insinuations made by the Minister of the Trade Federation Lodd Grimmin Lodd Grimmin .

While he held no reservations towards the Monarch of Alderaan and was knowledgeable about his philanthropic endeavors, altering the framework of the Galactic Alliance from individualistic motives to a collective benefit approach would not be favorable for his planet.

The third planet in the Mechis system was predominantly a corporate entity, leveraging its status to navigate the turbulent galaxy plagued by conflict and the ongoing rivalry between the Jedi and the Sith.

Alicio Organa Alicio Organa concluded his opening statement on the bill, and a gentle applause followed from the audience. The floor was then opened for discussion.

The first vote in favor of the bill came from Vianca Mecetti Vianca Mecetti , while the Neimoidian Representative, who had much to lose if the bill gained momentum, presented their opposing statement.

"I must agree with the Trade Federation delegation; Mechis III, my home planet, is a diminutive rocky volcanic planet that struggles to sustain itself due to the harsh environment. It would be unjust to request financial assistance for such initiatives when we are barely able to survive during these tumultuous times. Perhaps if the King of Alderaan would be willing to grant exemptions to certain planets within his proposal?"

He said, agreeing with the statement made by the Trade Federation although for an entirely different reason. The Planet of Mechis III was a hostile planet, and most of the government funding was focused on their sole export to survive in the form of battle droids and advanced robotics.

He would support the proposal if the King of Alderaan adjusted it.

Location: Somewhere in or around Coruscant, where the GA Admirals and Generals plan their defense of the system...

A masked figure clad in red silk robes presented the necessary credentials to the guards, and then made an announcement.

"I announce the Lady Vianca Mecetti, who requests admittance here to discuss the deployment of her forces in defense of Coruscant."

The frame of the figure was thin. The voice seemed aged. The credentials carried were for the Ministry of Inquiry, the House Mecetti secret police agency which maintained order on Obulette and elsewhere in the Mecetti Province. They were also known to be intelligence operatives. It was strange that this particular agent of the Ministry was masked and clothed so unusually. Further, it was strange that the Lady Mecetti should choose a Ministry agent to be their herald in these matters... except that it was rumored that the Lady herself had been head of the Ministry before her husband's untimely death.

It remained to be seen whether the generals, admirals, and defense officials in charge of Coruscant's defense would see fit to meet with her today.

Raphael was not here for a spar. He'd come, realistically, to see the way that the Jedi actually waged war, especially given that this wasn't really a thing that the Jedi were storied for. Sure they'd fought IN wars, but they had were not quite known for making running wars. The movement of the Enclave and government surprised him, but at the same time, he knew that it was a preventative measure. It was a way to get people away from Coruscant and to turning the whole place into a warzone. Raphael knew that there would still be people down in the lower levels, and they would be instrumental, whether in defense of the planet, or its damnation, was too early to tell.

He wasn't entirely certain that he wanted to participate in any spars, admittedly; after all he hadn't even made a new lightsaber. There was so much work that he still had to do... so much meditation that he needed, so much work that he needed to do... He pondered, for a few moments, reaching out to master Sallaros and asking her about going hunting for a new crystal, but... Then he remembered that he was the kind that liked going off to get that kinda stuff himself. He wouldn't fight her if she said no, or wanted to come, of course, but he wasn't about to bother her for something so simple.

Still, watching the spars would be a good way to deduce tactics in dueling, and perhaps a way to pick up something he'd not considered. Then, spotting a friend from a not too long ago mission, Raphael made his way over and nudged Shan, shooting the mirialan a grin.

"I wasn't expecting to see you here. You on the lookout for a student of your own?" His mirth belied his nerves, and concern. Mobile people were harder to pin down, but they were also harder to maintain a functional government. He leaned against a wall. "How're you doing, after that last little scenario, with the bombs? Still goin' strong, yeah? I was a bit worried 'bout'cha. I think all of the others were, as well."

After three years of combating hibernation sickness Master Ryiah was ready to take a more active role in the New Jedi Order. True, she had been serving undercover to stop the various prisoners of Black Marsh prison, but it wasn't the same as being out on the field with the other Jedi. As an investigator she'd been far removed from life at the Jedi but the threat looming over Coruscant changed that. Jedi were called back to the Core and training sessions were set up to prepare for war.

Katarine was in the corner, stretching and getting ready for the exercise today. If she understood correctly it would be some type of dueling practice with a bit of enhancement. Her rose colored eyes searched the room, noting one excitable padawan and a lot of other Jedi showing up. It was good to see so many even if she had not met them yet. She hoped that would change in time.
