Dominion Ideas: Where should we conquer next?

RIP Carlyle Rausgeber

"It's all been bloody marvellous..."
I've created this thread to discuss ideas on where we should press our agenda further, in terms of dominions.

Given our nearly completedpassification of Effekt and Yalara, I think it's time we start looking further afield to where we shall conquer next.

Now, I propose we take the whole Riflor hex. My tactical reasoning is that we'd secure access to Endor/Bakura, and it'd give us a series of planets to fortify on the Galactic Alliance's doorstep.

I'd love to hear what you guys thunk.

I had spoken to [member="Natasi Fortan"] about moving to secure Valhalla. It falls on a trade route that ends with Sullust.

Granted, we're still a few moves away from securing the planet, but when I picture First Order expansion, that is where my mind goes.

There are only two canon relevant planets between our territory and the coveted Endor/Bakura/Panatha/Rattataki/Firrerre hex (which is just a gold mine really). Those two planets are Riflor and Cerea. The former is the homeworld of the Advozse and a source of heavy metals, tech, and fuel. The latter is the homeworld of the Cereans (Ki-Adi-Mundi's species) and a garden world.

The faster way to the Endor hex is directly above us. That hex contains Xal 3 (who?), Trenwyth (what?), and Annaj (where? ok at least this one has some Imperial relevance) along with two custom planets called Tel`erra and Conglomerate Prime.

My clearly unbiased suggestion is to go from Riflor (perhaps T2 with Valhalla) to Cerea (perhaps T2 with Halm or Marzoon) to the Endor hex all of which will have great backgrounds built into each dominion ensuring that we won't have to fish so much for the story elements.

If we decide that we really just want to get to Endor as quickly as possible, then I feel that Annaj would be a good stepping stone.

Do we get more resources or something for owning more planets and hexes, or mainly story purposes? (If we don't get resources, is our fleet just limitless then, dependent on the number of dev threads you do?)

Also I see us taking all the planets in a hex but it doesn't show the whole hex under influence cloud. Does the influence cloud for the whole hex only come up when you've done a T3 dominion?

Hoth?

I would like to give the Knights of Ren the Academy of Bogan permanently. And that could help serve as story plot for the thread.

Returning character. My bad! XD I see this now.

Nevermind I have no ideas then. But I will assist in any dominion from here on out though!

Strategically speaking - we should actually knock out a T1 for Quintas and then proceed with other plans. It's the last remaining planet in a hex bordering with the Galactic Alliance.

All of these planets were under the control of the Lords of the Fringe before they fell. So if we want, our idea for that could either be, "Bringing order to a Chaotic Hex of planets."

Or,

"Combat wanted criminals hiding out there, and defeat dying Remnants of the Lords of the Fringe."

I know that since I just joined up, my words won't carry any water, but I think its a good idea to go through that trade route first.

No one makes the hero bleed.
How soon are we going to war with the GA or possibly the Mandos? That should tell you how aggressively we expand and in what direction.

Basically, the GA is going to sit by while the Mandos mop up the OS and GR. They'll scoop up planets here and there but mainly sit out bigger stuff. None of that actually makes sense from a story perspective, but everyone just ignores that part. Same thing during invasions which still revert back to duels which actually really have no relevance under the new judging criteria...but anyway.

How long do we want to wait? We will slowly recruit new writers but not as fast as the current 'winner'. People like a winner and will be quick to hop on the bandwagon once we make some headway. Watch ;)

I've been on Xal 3 before. Very odd planet. Half of it is ice, frozen solid tundra, other half volcanic activity. Armorer's Confederacy were outlaw weaponsmiths/repairmen, and were very good. I'm thinking they had to get their materials from somewhere. It could be that the lava portion of the planet holds metals and other valuable materials. Magma is just molten rock or elements, right? Maybe even the ice half could house something of value. It could be a possibility.

Quintas...

Also the GA taking Coruscant was pretty daring. They'll wait until we are tired to strike. I suggest we strategically think about a way to make our bench look deep... Any way we can stagger our efforts by deciding who does what?

Just an idea...
