Dominion Ideas: Where should we conquer next?

Also the GA taking Coruscant was pretty daring. They'll wait until we are tired to strike. I suggest we strategically think about a way to make our bench look deep... Any way we can stagger our efforts by deciding who does what?
So, what do you mean? You saying we should just be constantly resting ourselves or something? Because fam, I got creativity out the ass. You give me an amount of posts to reach, I will bloody reach it.

And to add to your criticism, I say we need to be a but more decisive. We shouldn't be waiting all the time like cooked chooks for an FA to come in, and tell us whats what.

Since when was that criticism? And you can't post more than 20 to 25 times depending on the post length. You also can't win an invasion alone. If writers get tired invasions fail.

I am suggesting we pace ourselves. I'm not waiting for an Admin. I'm an original admin here. Making a lot of assumptions there it seems...

Quintas, T1

Save the T3 for Endor's Hex, just my two cents.

Sorry about the post. I wasn't thinking while typing. I didn't mean criticism. That was the wrong word, I meant, opinion and all that. I'm really sorry for giving you the wrong idea about it.

Well General, we could then have another system which would warn us about GA. It'd shore up our borders.

It's all good! I like the plan of finishing the hex an saving a T3 for later. I really love a good story and would love to see the time taken to plan a T3 that tells a compelling story.

From a 'game' perspective it's all irrelevant. There's no limitation on ships in invasions/dominions besides those required by the production of each individual class, resources aren't tracked at all, etc.

From a story building perspective, there tends to be a healthy respect for factions that make the effort to show how they're growing in power and wealth.

I also agree with saving T3 for the Endor hex. There's just too much out there to pass up.

Endor: Vader's burial spot and last true stand of the Galactic Empire.

Panatha: homeworld of the Epicanthix.

Bakura: An Imperial wellspring.

Firrerre: homeworld of the Firrerreo, a major part in one of the reincarnations of Palpatine's Empire

Rattatak: home of Sith Lords and warriors alike.

Bunduki: where Teras Kasi, the most famous martial art in the galaxy was founded.

Gold mine. Seriously, every planet here is a gold mine.

[member="Atheus"] has a point, we shall have to proceed carefully with the Black Empire, expect Rebellion unless we play it carefully.

At this point however we will have to do a Tier 1 dom to even get close enough to Endor to imitate a Tier 3. Septembers hex dominion will have to be aimed at either approaching our target or establishing the Valhalla hex against the Galactic Alliance border.

Just a thought, but that might be something to actively encourage for the sake of story. It's one thing for a Galactic terrorist organization to attack 'good guy' factions, but it might be fun when they're up against people who match blood with blood and have a very different set of priorities.

[member="Aram Kalast"], [member="Cyrus Tregessar"], I know we have an active member base, but I don't think we have enough people to support a rebellion at this time. Kaine has a feth ton of connections from the OS, Black Empire, Iron Empire, Former Sith Triumvirate members, and even a few here. Hell, he has family in with the Mandalorian Crusaders. *Isley Verd Married Kaines daughter I think?*

As much as I would love to one day go up against the man, I don't think we are ready to do that.

If I were to list all of the members of the Zambrano family, it would include members like Keira Ticon, Isley Verd, Half of the Verd Clan, and anyone within the Black Empire.

Love the idea for story, but do we really want to get into a war with the man who literally started his kingdom on this site since he was a Sith Apprentice in the Sith Empire?

I mean, yes?

At worst we lose the hex, but I'm pretty sure Kaine isn't going to go major so it's just a matter of re-taking it.

In the meantime it's an opportunity to RP out a rather different conflict than the board is used to seeing, that of an Imperial Power vs. Dark-Side terrorists. From an IC perspective, I don't figure (personal opinion, mind, not trying to put words in anyone's mouth) that the First Order would back down due to the threat of some trumped up force terrorists.

From an OOC perspective, it simply sounds like a lot of fun and a great story.

At any rate it's a decision for higher powers to decide, I'm just throwing in my two cents. I wouldn't write it off without reaching out to Kaine though.

He has stated on skype multiple times he has thought about going major, but doesn't know if he should/could follow up on it.

As you said, up to the higher authority to say yes or no.

As long as the story rolls well I condone it, Kaine's chill enough, even if the Black Empire rebelled, took the hex and went major I don't think there would be any OOC issues. It would be a 'well played' handshake and continue onwards.

All in all I think we should look into it, after all as Cyrus said the opportunity to flex our power base a bit would be welcome. Good guys may space a hanger full of innocents...we...well we are bad guys so clearly we have to do worse.

There is an easy solution to what we are consistently going back and forth on... You just give the government types something to do in the Rebellion. Our acquisition of Panatha doesn't have to be hostile - we can direct our military efforts to other systems in that hex.

[member="Natasi Fortan"] is laying the groundwork for this already in the First Order Games thread. So long as Kaine can be assured the First Order won't really mess with Panatha, I think it will be fine. Kaine gains very little from rebelling (and probably would lose). He's better off loosely allied to the First Order than making enemies. Especially if the lingering threat of a T1 Dom of Panatha and a not-so-congenial First Order Government is his alternative.

Also - we still have to get in range of the Endor hex.

I feel like you're overestimating how difficult it would be, and I don't think a minor faction is something the First Order would back down from.

I see good story potential, an interesting dynamic between two Dark Side factions.

No one makes the hero bleed.
I'm liking the Panatha idea. Honestly, why so afraid of Kaine? He's just another writer who's been around a good length of time. People tiptoe around him way too much. As Cyrus pointed out, people like bold action.

We should contact him, talk over each side's ideas and go from there. Either that or Tier 2 the hex if we can't fend off the rebellion.
