The GA have several uncompleted doms (one T1 and one T2 much closer to Coruscant than to us) to deal with before thinking about starting a third one. They seem just as tired of doing doms over and over as the Mandos and the GR are.

Plus the Mandos have realized that doing invasions their way is just a surefire way to kill interest in doing invasions.

They seem to be stuck in doing invasions as though sheer numbers and superior equipment will win invasions for them, without any respect whatsoever for storyline. I played in the Kashyyyk invasion with one of my Republican alts and, while it was teeming with activity in the first three days, maybe four or five, in the last four or five days it was almost desert. But all the way through, I could change targets at will without penalty.

We're going to rush the current T3 and then rush a second for that hex. I'm going to talk to Darth Carnifex about seeing that he gets Panatha back safe and sound without a fuss. The New Republic will probably rebel, but I don't think they'd win, because we've got friends and they haven't. I've asked staff whether the NR can claim Panatha as one of their 3 planets (presumably they'd pick others in/around that hex as well) during the rebellion period and they're looking into it.

Only issue I am seeing is the single Tier 3 a month limit. May put up a snag.

My reading of the major faction rules are that they have to be active for 30 days before they can app for major faction status. They haven't. We can push the current T3, then push and complete ANOTHER, for the Panatha Hex, before the end of this month, and then claim it early October -- before their 30 day period.

I won't lie; this will probably be a long, hard couple of weeks while we really push to get our dominions done. They will probably rebel against us, adding some frustration. But I will be damned if I'm going to let these upstarts just plop themselves down in my neighborhood, particularly, ignoring the RP of another player, either out of ignorance or foul play. Not gonna just sit here and let it happen if I can prevent it.

We could actually use this to our advantage. It will give us a chance to cooperate with Carnifex's growing minor faction. He wants Panatha, we want the rest of the hex. If we cooperate, we can remove the New Republic from that area, we'll both get what we want, and we'll have made a solid ally in the process.
