Don't Disturb the Water (Azurea & Rapax)

Drongar, not the most picturesque world, but it was home to a very special plant that Taeli had some interest learning about. Bota had been rumored to have very interesting healing powers, but on Drongar it had mutated to become worthless sometime in the distant past.

Taeli was interested in what had caused the mutation to begin with and see if perhaps it might be reversible. She had learned that bota was useless after it left it's planet of origin unless frozen in carbonite, but she thought maybe helping the locals would be a good idea.

However, she had not counted on the annoyances in her way in the way of native wildlife in her research in the swamps of the world. She had to wear her Shade Robes and bring her weapons: her normal lightsaber, her back-up shoto, and the two lightsaber bracers she was testing still but seemed to be working fine.

"Well this is a thankless task," she thought, examining a specimen as another creature charged towards her and promptly stopped as it hit a force field. "Could this day get any worse?"

This was one of the few reasons he was glad to have the armor he was given from Draco's company. This world was a deadly world for the unprepared fortunately he was prepared...The reason he came here was that he heard there was a worthy prey here and he always couldn't pass up such an opportunity. He landed on the surface a fair distance from where [member="Taeli Raaf"] was. He kept his aura hidden for now however he waited for a fellow Sith to show up first... he knew there would be another but not who the new arrival would be ...hopefully they will prove useful for the task ahead. He kept his lightsabers in his hands ..they where a new design and he was anxious to use them.

(Your not the only one who is going to use this for a dev thread mainly because it was well beyond its time for a dev before im yelled at)

The planet of Drongar was very familiar to Darth Azurea. In fact, she had been on the hazardous planet before when she was a Padawan working for AgriCorps. But their exploratory mission became too dangerous, even with enviro-suits on. Given the fact that a couple of the fellow padawans were very young - almost children, in fact - a decision was made to abandon their own search for mutated Bota to study. But Azurea knew that some of her samples, notwithstanding the samples she took from Drongar, were still in an abandoned laboratory somewhere on the world.

She was joining the shapeshifter [member="Darth Rapax"], a Sith she hadn't seen for awhile. They were there due to rumors of Jedi sniffing around the bota again as Azurea had done when she was named Setzi Lunelle. This time the brunette Sith Knight would not be wearing an enviro-suit but the Infantry Armor provided by the One Sith Military. Although her Master, Darth Pyrrhus wore the protective Vonduun Skerr Kyrric, Azurea felt it to be itchy and claustrophobic against her skin. Maybe someday she would be able to tolerate it, but for now she preferred the standard heavy imperial armor, which included a re-breather to shield her lungs from the toxic spores.

One lightsaber and her Blade of the Satvas were her weapons today. She walked down the ramp of The Pirate's Foe and went in search of Rapax. There was no way he would be able to miss her in gleaming white and black stormtrooper armor.

Rapax waved [member="Darth Azurea"] over to him...he had met the sith twice during his acolyte hood but this would be the first real fight with her which was good. He was curios as to how the young sith fought espically against the jedi in question....this would be a difficult task depending on how skilled there prey would be...no matter... he waited for Azurea to come over so the hunt may begin....

"How does it feel to be a Sith Knight, Darth Rapax?" Azurea asked. Even though her helmet hid her face, and the rebreather muffled her voice, there would be something familiar to him in her mannerisms. When she first met the shapeshifter, she had just been knighted herself, and he was an acolyte. Now they were on an even playing field. It would be interesting to see how strong he had grown.

"I've been on Drongar before. In addition to the toxic spores, there are other hazards. Specifically firegnats, stingworts and wingstingers. Like their names suggest you don't want to get bit by any of them. Might be worse than running into a Jedi," she said, smirking. Breathing deep and concentrating, Darth Azurea scanned the surrounding area for Force signatures. When she was an Acolyte this proved very difficult, but as an advanced Knight, she eventually picked up the signal of a Jedi like a faint pulse on the horizon. "This way," she said.

As she turned towards where the signal was, she quickly realized they were about to trudge through the mud of a large and expansive swamp. It didn't take long until Azurea's white armor from her shins down were covered in a thick muddy slime.

She could hear him chuckle behind his rebreather in his black armor and simply responded. It does have its perks in the long run...and i am enjoying it quite well....im learning how annoying trying to teach the apprentice is." He listened to her when she pointed out the hazards of this world that would be deadlier then this jedi they are hunting. "Noted...lets go find a jedi..." He said as he followed her she could detect that he had a hint of bloodlust in his voice when he mentioned the word jedi. None the less he followed her trudging through the swamp it was abit difficult to move at first but thankfully the swamp wasn't deep enough to impede movement.

Eventually the two Sith Knights came to a clearing where the swampland emptied out into a wide pool of algae-clogged water. The lightside Force signature was not only strong here, it was recognizable.

"Taeli Raaf," whispered Darth Azurea to Darth Rapax. She crouched down suddenly, afraid to be sighted. "Come this way," she said, beckoning Rapax to crouch as well and follow.

Hidden by a thick cluster of cattails, they finally caught a glimpse of the Jedi Master as she was engrossed in her research.

Rapax observed her from where they where hidden....Another Raaf eh?....so the jedi he met on Dxun wasn't the only one....interesting....a shame this one has to fall...he rather liked Corvus during his time on Dxun....he could feel how strong this one was ...this would indeed prove a interesting fight. He had his lightsabers in his hands ready for use. If this was going to work in there favor he will need the suprise they possess...as well as the help od [member="Darth Azurea"] should first strike fail.

Taeli sighed softly to herself as she sensed a familiar presence in the Force ... and the ripples of another trying to hide. The problem with using Art of the Small to hide your Force presence was if another person knew Art of the Small, they could use the ripples you make around your movements to know where you were.

"You two can come out now," she said, without looking up from her microscope or sample. "No point in hiding, Setzi and whoever else is with you. Come on out so we can have a proper chat."

Behind the white stormtrooper helmet, Darth Azurea smiled. These Jedi loved referring to her as her given name, as though invoking her real name Setzi would somehow make her more vulnerable. But this only annoyed her, a simmering irritation she could begin to tap into for her power.

The two Sith slinking out of the catails was a little comedic, but there wasn't really a way to sneak around a muddy swamp in a graceful manner.

"Jedi Master Raaf, are you looking for bota?" asked Darth Azurea."I did once as a Padawan. When I served with AgriCorps I came to Drongar." She laughed and in a mocking voice said, "If only we can unmutate the bota again... typical lightside nonsense." She looked over at Darth Rapax and then back at Taeli Raaf. "There's an abandoned lab not too far from here that still has my samples."

But the tone and edge to Azurea's voice did not suggest she was a colleague about to innocently share research findings. In fact, Azurea was eager to finish what was started on Contruum, where she and Master Pyrrhus dueled the Jedi Master, but did not get a chance to see the fight through to completion.

No mention of Chastity Lunelle yet, but the Sith Knight imagined that topic would come up soon.

Rapax growled in frustration when they where discovered....so much for the element of surprise on this one....but this was the first time he actually heard [member="Darth Azurea"]'s name fully mentioned.....apprently the two had a history....but he listened and noted the direction of the lab azurea pointed too ...perhaps he can see whats there of use later anyway before speaking "...Another Raaf eh?......Iv met another like you before...on Dxun...her name was Corvus i believe....a very powerful creature....much like your self..its nice to know strength is what follows your blood.....you humans are such an interesting thing..." He looked to Azurea for a moment "Now i know your real name....consider us even on that regard....you know my real name ..i now know yours....." He returned his gaze to [member="Taeli Raaf"] "It is a shame ...i wont have the same pleasure of a simple know each other chat...but thats not why we are here..."

"On the contrary, I'm studying the bota to just study the mutation," she said, shrugging. "I know the mutation can't be reversed, but I couldn't resist looking into it because it is such a fascinating story."

The two Sith had clearly come looking for a fight ... oh dear oh my. Setzi she knew, but the male was an unknown factor as of right now. Once again, she would need to gather information on an opponent before doing anything that would require more effort from her. The fact he met Corvus probably gave him a little insight into her ... but she was vastly different than her younger sister.

"So to what do I owe the pleasure of two Sith that felt like interrupting girl while she's in the middle of some research?" she asked, her hands on her hips. Her purple eyes surveyed the surroundings, and took in their appearance. Setzi had standard issued trooper armor, not a ton of protection there, but the other was outfitted in different armor. Definitely not an original Sith design, more leanings toward ... Mando. Just lovely.

"I've always considered us even, my friend," Darth Azurea said addressing Darth Rapax. "The first time I met you on Korriban actually." Behind her trooper helmet, her dark brown eyes bore into Jedi Master Raaf. "I'm sure given a circumstance or two, you and I could also be friends." The tone of her voice suggested the opposite, but Azurea continued: "In fact, I've been discussing a trip to Voss with Jedi Master Harrison. I believe you two know each other? We could certainly become good friends over a visit to see my sister Chastity."

Darth Azurea hadn't wanted to bring up her sister so soon, but the topic just spilled out of her mouth almost uncontrollably. And with it, her rage for the Jedi Master also spilled out like an inky leak of darkside energy all over the swamp. The Sith Knight had fought Master Raaf before. The brunette lightsider was patient and calculating. But Darth Azurea could bide her time as well.

Either way, it was clear, neither of them were going anywhere near dry land soon.

Rapax simply listened to the conversation between the two but waited for the battle to begin ...he was getting anxious ...how long will they keep this verbal debate up before they finally attack ...they came here to kill not chatter with this jedi...No matter she knew what she was doing and he trusted her judgement. He kept him self ready for anything his sabers near his hands so he can quickly use them should the need arise but his thirst for jedi blood was starting to increase but for now he kept his cool.

"Oh, I wasn't aware visitation rights had been granted," Taeli said, smiling a bit. "Your friend seems a bit anxious, I'm not sure why. I'm quite comfortable right now actually. First time in a swamp like this, Knight ... I'm afraid your name escapes me so apologies for that."

Both her opponents seemed to be simmering, but at least Setzi was reigning it in right now. Showed she wasn't entirely ruled by her rage ... which was such a waste really. The other one ... she could feel suppressed bloodlust ... lust for battle and killing ... lovely. She had never had time for these types of Sith when she had been one ... calculating had been her thing and cunning always gained her respect. These two ... they had come onto unfamiliar ground for them, giving her home field advantage if a fight broke out.

"Well I did save your life once, Setzi, so yes we could have been friends," Taeli replied to the girl. "Life's little ironies I guess."

Apparently absorption in the darkside of the Force had required Darth Azurea to be self-absorbed as well; she had nearly forgotten that Taeli had, at one time, saved her life. Thinking back upon that day did cause the Sith Knight some momentary confusion and then a slightly nauseous feeling to remember that Darth Pyrrhus, her own lover now, would have likely killed her on Ruusan. A weak-willed, doe eyed padawan like Setzi? In a heartbeat. But Master Raaf had plucked her from his grip, thrown her onboard her vessel and even healed her wounds.

"Do you feel betrayl over that, Jedi?" she asked. "That no matter what the Order taught me, I could not be saved."

Darth Azurea smiled. She was a lost cause, perhaps since that very day. But how strong she was now with the power she had inadvertantly craved! No more was she lost either.

Glancing over at Darth Rapax, she asked him, "What now, my blood brother? Would you like the first blow or shall I take it?"

Azurea ignited her crimson blade and it sung with its low-toned, metallic whine. She was ready to strike.

Rapax growled and his pitch black hilts would appear in his hand's there was a red gem like object on the back of the hilt. He said with a chuckle to [member="Darth Azurea"] " Didn't realize we were related." He said jokingly although given how much like him she was it wouldn't be surprising to him if it was a reality...experiment for a later time...He activated his sabers and the ash black like blades appeared from the hilts of his saber they took the shape of that of a simple flat bladed sword and made a deep metallic hum when they where activated." But sense you asked so nicely...." he said before letting a deep growl out"I shall start this dance!" He said dashing towards [member="Taeli Raaf"] with his sabers going to for a forward slash he kept his other saber ready to block any reprisals he may receive.

"As they don't teach important things like how to deal with emotions in a constructive way ... like any normal school does, no it's not really a betrayal but just more evidence that the Jedi need some non-Force using teachers to get kids straight," she replied, shrugging ... and then she felt the shift in things as Setzi drew and ignited her lightsaber.

Her companion rushed forward to bring his saber at her in a forward slash ... so eager for battle. Such a shame. His lightsaber blades almost reminded her of the darksaber that had been in Clan Viszla's possession, how fun. In the blink of any eye, a purple blade was shining from her hand and had deflected his attack to her side in a standard Makashi deflection, leaving her blade still in front of her as she backed up slowly to protect against any follow through attack.

"So impatient, that will cost you in the long run," she quipped, knowing Setzi would be coming soon.

Jedi Master Raaf went on a rant about emotions and school, as though Darth Azurea's faulty education was to blame for her downward spiral into the darkside. The shapeshifter was eager to attack and lunged at Jedi Master Raaf with his duel blades. As soon as she lifted her saber to parry, Darth Azurea rushed over in a burst of Force Speed, and standing side by side with Darth Rapax, also attacked with precise Makashi ferocity.

The Jedi had been slowly walking backwards upon the first attack. Darth Azurea conjured an illusion of a giant swamp hole behind Taeli Raaf, one she could see if she glanced backwards. And if she stepped in the hole, she would feel as though she were being swallowed up by it. The point was to make her stumble so that the two Sith Knights could overtake her.

"Watch your step," she muttered under her breath, but so quietly the Jedi wouldn't be able to hear her.

He noted what [member="Darth Azurea"] said and he decided to quickly Infuse his lightsaber's with lightning to provide the extra damage. He paced around her like a predator circles its prey...he was waiting this time for a good opening to strike but watched his step while doing so.
