Varus glanced up the moment that Seraphina had, his blue eyes taking in the sight above as he realized what this all meant. The Sith were still pressing for every scrap that the Galaxy had left to offer, never satisfied by their spoils of war. Never sated by victory or progression. They were only ever temporarily distracted by the promise of more power, and it seemed that he and Seraphina were part of that temporary distraction.
"Be calm.", Varus said as he reached out and rested his hand on the Twi'Lek's shoulder. He could feel the force flowing through her, and in the back of his mind he heard her voice echoing through the force. She was contacting someone, and he had a feeling he knew exactly who that someone was. It was Kian, and that was exactly the person that they needed to seek guidance from in that very moment.
"We need to gather as many of the artifacts as we can and hide them away, if we can, but we need to consult Kian first.", he said, then glancing over to the delicate little Knight he had accompanied. "See what Master Karr thinks about all of this."
The bombardment occurred as Kian was leaving the Baran Do Temple after seeing to it that Master Mong was safely tucked away in the Caverns of the Hidden Ones. Kian watched in horror as the bombardment began. This was his homeworld, and while he considered the Jedi Temples his home now, Dorin would always hold a special place in his heart. This was his birthplace, the birthplace of his family, of his wife, and of their child.....it was also their resting place.
Kian was pulled by these thoughts from the sudden blast of sirens as the alarms began to go off throughout the city. One saving grace of the deadly and unpredictable weather on Dorin was the alarms that were used to signal danger. Now as they blared, the streets would empty. No citizens stayed out when those alarms sounded. Kel Dor buildings were sturdy designs meant for a population that had to hunker down and wait out the violent storms of Dorin and while it wasn't a storm but a bombardment they were hunkering down from, the sturdy design of the buildings would help to protect the population to an extent.
Kian darted onto the street, trying to keep to cover as he moved. He had walked from the Enclave to the Baran Do Temple, as it wasn't a long trip, now he regretted that choice.
Kian heard the message in his mind, the telepathic communication coming from Seraphina Shel'tah and he stretched out with his own mind, communicating to his former padawan, Varus, and her.
I'm fine for now, enroute back to the enclave. Our first priority is ensuring the people are safe. The bombardment appears to be targeting Republic facilities. They aren't attacking civilians yet. We need to keep it that way. We can't beat them......we weren't prepared for this.....but we can give them something to focus on that will ensure the most lives are saved.
Kian was closing fast on the Enclave and was force to leap behind a wall to avoid some shrapnel that was flying toward him. The bombardment was intensifying.
There is no reason to attack Dorin if not for the Enclave. Kian admitted. Dorin held no strategic importance, nor did it house any companies or factories that were important to the One Sith war effort. This was something else.....this was a targetted attack. Though why the Sith would be attacking an out of use Jedi Enclave, Kian did not know.
Secure what you can, I'll be there soon. Kian said, leaping out from behind the wall and continuing on his way toward the Enclave. Kian saw virtually no one on the streets, a byproduct of the sirens going off, but what he did see was the humble defenses of Dorin beginning to take action as a few of Dorin's defense ships began to rise into orbit. They wouldn't do much against the overwhelming numbers, but they could by time.
As Kian ran toward the enclave, he felt a darkness surrounding the fleet. He didn't know who was leading the assault.....but the darkness seemed familiar to him.....
Sage gave Darth Venefica a cordial bow, his manners exquisite from many years spent as a Hutt slave. Deference came easy to Sage as it was a force of habit. However, deep down inside, he usually felt anything but.
"As you wish, Mistress. May the Force serve us well."
The acolyte turned on his heel and left the tousled-haired Sith Knight standing on the bridge looking at the stars, crimson beams glinting off the pools of her wild eyes.
Eventually Sage made his way to his designated dropship which would carry he and his army of Imperial troops dirtside. The young acolyte had little military experience, and it seemed to show as the troops regarded him with an edge of suspicion in their eyes. No matter. He would rely on the Force to guide his way in the seizure of the space port. He only hoped his powers wouldn't fluctuate at random as they had done upon his emergence from the Nether.
The dropship descended, floating slowly down towards the Dorin space port. Sage could feel the urge to kill thrumming in his veins, growing stronger with each passing minute. He stood in silence, face turned away from the troops, as if one false move from of one of them could start a massacre. As a distraction, he busied himself with making sure his breath mask was securely fastened.
In a few minutes the dropship landed in a docking bay that Imperial slicers had ensured would be open to Sage's vessel. Striding down the ramp of the ship with his troops close behind, the young Sith acolyte activated his saber, and looked for warm Republic bodies to sate his hunger.
The final bombardment was a spectacular sight, with all the warships unleashing a barrage of fire down on the planet in unison; marking the end of chapter one. The Jedi puppets and their Republic marionettes had been served up only a portion of the appetizer, just enough to tease their palate and the Sith Lord, Darth Venefica, was heading to the planet to force feed them the rest.
Her transport vessel, filled with only a few soldiers personally handpicked by her, touched down on the landing platform several feet from the other craft that had brought [member="Sage Bane"] to the spaceport. She had no doubt the young and fierce Sith had already began, even she felt the calling of battle whisper gently in her ears. But she would refrain, for now. The spaceport was her top priority. Capture it first and then it could be delegated as a staging area for the rest of the fleet. Supplies and fresh troops, even their wounded could be filtered through without interference from the enemy.
"My Lady," the squad sergeant began, "What are our orders?" She looked around the area gauging the size of the spaceport and to determine where their first stop will be. "We need to find and secure the control centre. Runner!" A small lanky trooper ran up to her and lowered his head when he reached the Sith Lord. "Find [member="Sage Bane"] and tell him to keep an eye out for the control centre. If he finds it before us, he needs to secure it. And give him this." She handed the trooper a comlink and added, "Tell him he can contact me through this. Now go."
The Twi'lek Knight quieted her mind, releasing the tension already built up inside from the sight she had just laid eyes upon as Varus rested the palm of his hand atop her shoulder. Her head cocked to the side, and her eyes caught his. A soft smile would make its way across her face as she nodded to him. "We can't save everything. And we don't have time to destroy everything. Take what is most important, destroy what we cannot take. If the Sith are here, they intend on taking this enclave, the information within, and they'll likely burn it to the ground, or taint it with darkness. It's a tragedy to destroy the holocrons, but it must be kept from Sith hands if possible. They don't need any more information on the Jedi than they've already got."
As [member="Kian Karr"] responded to her message to both herself and [member="Varus Shatterstar"], she gritted her teeth and replied in kind with her mind, reaching out to both Varus and Kian. Understood, master. Varus and I will secure what we can, but it won't be long before they reach the enclave. Stay safe, and may the Force be with you.
Sera looked at the walls surrounding her, the aged architecture, the serenity and peace that this place brought. It was all going to fall today. She exhaled a deep breath, her cheeks puffing out as she shook her head. "Let's get to work. I recommend we locate the holocrons containing sacred Force knowledge and teachings and save those. As a second priority we take the holocrons containing key Jedi journals pertaining to the Force, the Republic, and the Sith. Things we cannot afford to let slip into enemy hands. Everything else, or whatever else, we destroy."
She turned to begin working, if Varus had no objections, but would mention one final thing. "I would like to do Master Karr a favor first though, and collect the bloodline holocron containing his family history."
Amaethon sat amongst the same squad from his previous mission. He had requested them specifically as they had performed well and...he felt he could somewhat rely on them. It was not...affection. The Acolyte could sense a certain loyalty towards himself, perhaps not affection on their part, but his positive feedback for them had won them favorable attentions from higher ups. A good hound deserved a bit of steak at times as reward inspired better performance.
He had made sure to take the Sargent aside. There would be no heroes, they were to do as they were told. Whilst they could certainly die, Amaethon had no intention of simply throwing them away. They could feel satisfaction in knowing their deaths would be for a greater purpose.
They were tense, he could feel, but not overly so. This was good, suggesting that they felt ready for the fight ahead. The Jedi were no mere farmers nor private security. They should be given a certain respect, but only for their combative abilities. No fear, no admiration but simply...kill.
"Then do so post haste.", Varus said, having heard the exchange between Kian and Seraphina, though choosing not to respond. There was nothing more that needed to be said, and if they were going to make it through all of this, Varus would need every moment he could spare to prepare for the coming battle.
He wasted no time, nodding to Seraphina as she made her way to find Kian's personal bloodline holocron. As she did, Varus made way for the archives of the enclave, pulling his pack over his shoulder as he pushed through the doors of the room. As he walked he dug into his pack, pulling out a pair of sabers and clipping them either one onto his belt. He then pulled from the bag his leather flight jacket and pulled that, one arm at a time, over his shoulders, tugging it around him snugly as he began walking down each of the isles of the archives, picking one, two, three, four, five holocrons from their place. The rest weren't nearly as important or were basic data and holofiles. Each one he placed in his bag, and when he was done he closed the pack and tied it shut with it's straps before he continued to the back of the room.
Stopping there, Varus reached up and ran his hand gently across the stone that read, "Touched with light I release" in an old, Jedi dialect that Varus only barely understood because of all of the research he'd done on Ossus in the libraries. It was a lost language native to that planet and it's people that he was almost certain only Kian and a few others would even recognize. Even then, he'd been prepared for that moment or he'd have never known what to do.
The moment his skin touched the cool stone before him the etchings glowed a bright blue, his light side aura the key to the riddle. That key unlocked an incredible safe for instances just like that one, a massive stone slat in front of him rolling back and opening a small nook about three feet wide, a foot tall and a couple feet deep. It was the perfect hiding spot for such important relics, and as he raised the pack and tucked it safely inside he felt his heart skip as the forces of darkness drew ever closer to their position. And so, as he waved his hand back across the face of the stone, he watched as the thick, rock slat rolled closed again, hiding away the holocrons, perhaps for eternity if they didn't make it through the night.
Sage took a moment to take inventory of the scene at the spaceport, then he turned back to his troops. "Kill everything," the acolyte commanded, his bark muffled by the face mask. Sage's troops fanned out and began to fire upon everyone and everything that moved, their lethal beams striking not only port authority staff but also Kel Dor civilians. A loud hum crackled through the air as Sage began to cut his own path through the crowd, his dark cloak billowing around him as he viciously swung his saber in short, sharp thrusts against anyone in his way. Eventually, bodies and limbs littered the space port floor in his wake.
Letting the dark side of the Force guide him in swiftly deflecting the return fire of port authority enforcers, a small nagging voice in the back of his mind reminded Sage that he was not supposed to kill the locals. Unfortunately that voice was quickly drowned by the deafening screams of the rift-induced hunger for murder.
"Sir, sir!" said a lanky trooper, approaching Sage with a flinch in his posture. "Here! You are to use this to check in with Darth Venefica once you've the secured command center!" The trooper thrust a commlink into Sage's hand and scurried off so as not to be decapitated by the clearly unstable Sith acolyte.
Leaving a winding road of massacred bodies behind him, Sage finally made his way to the heavily secured command center. Breathing heavily, his bad lungs crying out for air, he ordered his Imperial slicer to code break the doors and took a short respite, pausing here and there to deflect a stray laser beam.
Flicking on the commlink, he patched himself in to Darth Venefica. "Mistress, I have found the command center," he said through ragged muffled breaths. "In a few minutes, it will be ours."
Let me know if I'm posting too fast, and I will slow my roll

Solan sat at the bunker he had been rushing people into but a rise of death suddenly dropped him to his knees as he held his head. Someone was slaughtering people and his eyes hardened as he turned his head in the direction he felt it as he started breathing harder and pulling all that pain and death to him. His empathy going haywire but atleast still in control as he started heading in the direction of the death, his robes and body changing as he began to start the illusion he always used. Around him a cold fog that chilled and came from his hood. His face rotting and leaving a simple skeletal head with gleaming crimson orbs for eyes with blood dripping from the sockets. His robes pitch black flowed on their own and the scythe on his back entered his hands, his time as the reaper once more beginning and it was time to claim the souls of those that would do this.

The effects of a turbolaser bombardment on the surface of a planet were terrible to behold. Even the limited, precision sort currently being conducted was simply devastating to the very crust of the planet. Rivers and lakes were boiled away as bolts impacted near them. Terrain was reshaped entirely, hills blown away and reforged on the edge of craters. Buildings made of most natural materials were simply atomized in a single shot, any occupants obliterated in the fire. Ferrocrete and other materials lasted longer, absorbing multiple shots. Watched by high resolution cameras onboard the ships, the results were impressive. The structure warped and appeared to melt, entire chunks were blasted away. Eventually it would begin to collapse, and shortly after would be finished off and turned into so much nothing. Often figures would emerge from the structure, seeking to outrun its final demise. Few got very far.
The planet fought back sporadically, and with little effect. The attack had clearly been a surprise. Here and there a salvo of missiles would be launched, only to be knocked out of the sky by defense systems or impact harmlessly on shields. Inevitably, any site that revealed itself in such a manner was quickly targeted by a ceaseless barrage of turbolaser and mass driver fire. All in all it was a textbook operation, with the passage of time marked by the gradual elimination of one target after the next. One of the Cruisers, seeking to line of a better shot on a defense turbolaser site, got momentarily trapped in the gravity well. Some enterprising commander on the surface used to opportunity to coordinate fire, and a pair of missiles penetrated. The ship withdrew, patched the hole, and returned to action reporting 84 casualties. They would be the only ones.
It was, in other words, boring. There was no opposition, no challenge, only systematic bloodletting. The sort of a thing a Sith might thrive on, perhaps, but not the sort of thing that particularly thrilled Cyrus at all.
He turned to find the ship's captain. "You have the bridge, Captain Vayrrel. Inform Vice Admiral Darkin he has tactical control of the bombardment. Have my Helldivers prepped and ready to go dirtside in fifteen minutes, I will be accompanying them." He stalked off the bridge before waiting for a reply, and quickly made his way to the hanger. In seventeen minutes he was suited up in his personal set of Helldiver armor, and seated onboard a gunship heading to the surface. Maybe he'd find something interesting to do on the planet itself.
The words spoken by the Acolyte was the first good news she heard since landing on the spaceport. Prior to the news, she had been receiving reports of resistance throughout the building; most dealt with hit and run tactics by the Republic. From her assessment of these tactics, the Republic wasn't committed to fighting like they had been back on Manaan and Kashyyyk. They were running interference. But why? Like a sucker punch it hit her; they weren't defending, they were evacuating. Which meant the Sith were on the verge of losing what they came here to do.
The Sith Lord began running through the secured sections of the spaceport toward the control room. She needed to see the real time footage to get a clearer picture of what the enemy's plans were. As she ran, she pushed the button on her com wrist to open the channel between her and [member="Sage Bane"].
"The enemy is trying to evacuate the Jedi Temples. We cannot allow this to happen. We are on our way to your location...have your slicer infiltrate the spaceport's computer system and lockdown all docking bay doors. If possible, he needs to do the same to the Jedi Temple. If the latter is unavailable from that terminal, let me know at once."
Her mood quickly switched to heightened levels of anger. If those ships managed to escape with their precious cargo, they almost immediately would be destroyed by the fleet the moment they entered space; robbing her and the others of chance to peek into the Jedi's treasure box.
Sith Fleet Above Dorin Atmosphere
Darkin was interrupted in his course of delegating commands when a staff officer called out. "Sir, we have word from Vice-Admiral Tregessar." Darkin raised the eyebrow. The cavalier admiral is at it again. He remarked with cynicism. I don't know why Lady Hauntruss puts so much trust in him! Darkin waved his hand to beckon the officer closer. "What is it then." The Officer held out a data pad with the recorded message, reading out loud, "He says that you have complete tactical control of the bombardment. And that he will be venturing planet side with his Hell Divers." Darkin nodded and ended the conversation with a scoffing, "I figured as much." Another interruption rang out by an alarmed sensors officer."Sir! Multiple heat sources rising from lower atmosphere! It's Defense Fleet." Darkin's cruel professional attitude kicked into over drive and he swirled away to point at the officer.
"What is their magnitude!" He demanded. The sensor officer replied in haste, "Minimal sir! But they have begun to attack our more spread out forces." Darkin's face became enraged. "I will not have Hauntruss' decent hindered! Re-group the bombardment and begin assault tactics. Remove there presence from the aerial conflict!" The bright flashes of the star destroyers ceased. Marking the all clear for the main force of Hauntruss' and the Inquisition's landing at the Jedi Enclave. Already the High Marshals had landed and begun to ravage the Republic infrastructure outposts. Now it was time to converge!
Imperial Loader Shuttle, Descending Process
Darth Hauntruss herself, clad in dark silver armour and surrounded by the black troopers of her Death Dragoon was aboard a Imperial Loader Shuttle, one of thousands, that would descend into the Jedi Enclave area and unload armoured vehicles and the stormtrooper legions come to purge Dorin of the Jedi. Inside she sat in her command pilot chair of the shuttle, connecting to the comm system she sent her message to her High Marshals ([member="Darth Venefica"] and [member="Darth Isolda"]) "Begin your assault on the Jedi Complex. I shall be arriving soon to spear head this last stage of our operation." Her dark words slithered into the ether to find their recipients.
As that message was sent Hauntruss, then commanded the officer to contact one of the major stormtrooper commandos down on the ground. "Commander Co'Dee, are you in position." Hauntruss' words called out. The Stormtrooper Command removing his helmet nodded, "Yes my Lady. We have taken control of the major communication systems near and around the targeted zones. We are prepared to patch your message to the populace." Hauntruss, smiling gestured her pleasure with her fingers meeting together in a prayer like grasp. "Excellent. Initiate Order Panopticon." The trooper commando saluted and in an instant his troopers went to work patching Hauntruss' image across the targeted zones of the planet. Everyone would now see the projected image of Darth Hauntruss seated in her command chair.
This dark figure appearing before them spoke in a mysterious black tone, one that commanded obedience and intimidating fear.
"I have come your you Dorin, Kel Dor. I have come from the past to judge your fate.
Once, long ago. During the reign of Darth Krayt and the Founding One Sith, your force rich people pledged yourselves to the service of the Sith.
A Kel Dor even rose to the rank of Sith Lord. But come the new future you betray his and Krayt's legacy for the blind illusions of the Republic and the Jedi.
You of all people should have known that this day would come. And what of the Republic? They have abandoned you. But the SIth never forgot your service. They never forgot your destiny.
I, Darth Hauntruss, Imperial Warmaster of the Inquisition, with the power bestowed upon me by the Dark Lord himself - hereby subject your world to purification - by fire. For now the populace are untouched. Only those connected to the Jedi and Republic have been targeted.
Those, that recant the Jedi and come forward to aid themselves in purifying their lands will be untouched.
However, those that cling to the Jedi legacy, I am afraid shall not survive the redemption process.
The choice - is yours."
Near the Jedi Complex
In the thousands, in several sets of columns, the Stormtrooper legions of the Imperial Inquisition began their march towards the Jedi Complex. At their back massive armored All-Terrain walkers followed in lumbering
steps.
As they came close to the perimeter. A Commando, removed a portable holoprojector from his utility belt. The size of his palm he activated it causing a small image of Hauntruss to materialize. "We are in position my lady, what are your orders." Darth Hauntruss' hissing voice scratched into life from the electromagnetic background, "Complete annihilation Commander."Hauntruss' words were sudden and cruel,"The Jedi think we are here to steal and raid technology or whatever poultry holorecords they possess...but they are deceived. Destroy everything. This is a purge commander, nothing that even hints to a once Jedi presence on this world shant be left untouched."
"Kill everyone, Leave nothing."
The feed then cut. And only the sounds of coming doom lingered.
The Commando paused, turned, gestured a silent order and with a sudden crack the heavy blaster cannons from the All-Terrain Vehicles began an artillery barrage. The blaster rounds flung across the air and impaled themselves on the various outlying Republic Garrison barracks near the Jedi Complex. The next round of artillery began to rain down on the Jedi Temple itself- blasting away what defensive forces had gathered at its most outer entrances.
The bloodlust Sage felt from travelling through a Netherworld rift had been satisfied in the swift and merciless mass murder of half the Dorin spaceport. Dazed and confused, Sage glanced around at the hacked up corpses that lined the floors behind he and his troops. Bodies of Kel Dor women and perhaps even younglings. He couldn't have done that, could he? Sage turned his face away, unable to face the ugly truth. "Sir! We're in!" said the Imperial slicer, as blaster fire rang out around them. A fierce firefight erupted in the command room, but it was eventually quelled by the Sith acolyte and Imperial forces.
Sage's commlink pinged, and he flicked it on to receive a message from Darth Venefica, to which he replied:
"The spaceport's control room is now ours, Darth Venefica. We will begin slicing into the Docking Bay and the Temples. No one will get in or out of that Temple or off the planet without our say, mark my words."
Sage made no mention of the casualties he'd left in the space port. The Sith were not known to punish their kind for ridiculous overkill. However he was a low-ranked acolyte who disobeyed direct orders on his first mission. He had a feeling that his Masters might not be so forgiving about his killing spree.

Sporadic anti-air fire seemed to fill the skies with bursts of flak and turbolaser bolts, but any experienced soldier could tell it was too infrequent and poorly aimed to be a real threat. Here and there a lander took a hit, but only a handful were destroyed, and those were all regular forces. With a heart-stopping lurch and accompanied by the screeching sound of metal dragging on metal, the gunship Cyrus was in made a flawless high-velocity touchdown. The back door dropped open, and soldiers and vehicles poured out.
Cyrus waited until the main bay was clear before stepping out and on to the planet, flanked by a squadron of his best troops. Once he was clear, the gunship took off again and quickly established itself in a slow circle above the temple. Periodically the large railgun mounted on its belly barked off a round, the effect of which could be felt a few seconds later as the ground shook under the impact. Other dropships were deploying heavier cargo, and here and there pairs of airspeeders could be seen establishing control of the skies.
The easiest damn invasion anyone ever did see. Except that wasn't their only objective.
Cyrus patched in to the command network to take stock of the situation. Groups of soldiers, Helldivers and regular Stormtroopers both, moved about on various tasks. Eliminate X garrison, destroy hardpoint Y, establish resupply point Z, and so on. All routine operations that hardly needed extra support. A burst of messages on a higher encryption level, however, indicated that assistance was needed. Each was promulgated by a Sith and involved the capture and destruction of anything resembling Jedi.
The old Jedi Temple was closest by and currently under assault by regular forces. Gathering up any Helldivers in the vicinity, Cyrus headed in that direction, intending to link up with [member="Darth Hauntruss"] and whoever else was in the area.

Amaethon stood outside the perimeter of the Temple, flanked by his assigned squad. He knew they were there, the most ancient and hated of enemies. He could feel them and he studied the exterior of this grandiose blight upon Dorin. How arrogant, they were, flaunting their perverse beliefs so openly. It put his teeth on edge beneath his breath mask, his blood heated with hate.
He sent his squad forward with a gesture and he followed, drawing his lightsaber from his belt but not igniting it. The squad, in two fire teams, took cover behind huge statues as he strode forward to the huge double doors. It was time to knock on the door and say hello. At his gesture, two squad members rushed forwads, low to the ground. The other six provided cover as they affixed demolition charges.
Amaethon strode back down the steps, behind the running troopers, casual stride in total contrast to his white hot anger. He took his place behind a statue, not bothering to crouch. At his nod, the two troopers pushed the button on each detonator. A second later there was a defeaning roar as the door imploded, flying inward.

Solan watched the door fly inwards as it shot towards him and he raised his hand, the door slowing until it collapsed down infront of him with his eyes hard and burning in his skull at the site of these men. His robes parting as he gripped his scythe tighter and bursts of flames touched from him and scorched the ground that they touched. His face was replaced with that of his illusion, the face of a reaper and its eyes burrowing into the door as he spoke in a cold tone. "Remove yourselves from this place before i am forced to kill every last one of you." He said and waited, Scythe in hand and flames gathering around him.

Amaethon watched the Jedi come out, projecting an illusion of Death and he laughed. The Acolyte had looked Death in the eyes while still a boy and he had learned there were things in this world far worse than dying.
He turned to the squad leader and gestured to open fire. Like good soldiers, they quickly overcame their initial fear and did as they were told. The Acolyte thumbed on his bloodshine blade and gathered the Dark Side around him.
'Come then, Death, dance with me.' He sent telepathically to the image.

Solan laughed as his voice came out in that cold distorted sound and gripped the door they had blown out and held it infront of him with the force as he continued to laugh behind it. The Sith would come to realize he was no Jedi as the force around him grew to embody the very thing the Sith trusted in and he shouted out as he spoke. "I am your Retribution, RUN AND BE SPARED." His empathy reached out and intensified the men's fears, making it even too much for a few that would rather run than understand that Solan was manipulating their feelings. HE also drank in the fear though like it was a delicacy, waiting for the men to run out or to stop firing before he would meet this sith in battle.
Kian was crouched in the shadows.....it was a place he was comfortable, hidden not far from the mass of troops that now bombarded the Republic barracks and the Jedi Enclave. The Sith Inquisition forces spread out around the complex, cutting off Kian from gainng access to the Enclave. Looking over the forces arrayed before them, it was clear this was an unattainable victory. The most they could do was secure what they could at the Enclave and try to avoid civilian casualties.
Kian considered getting past the forces and gaining access to the temple using the skills he'd learned over his lifetime as a Jedi Shadow, but something stopped him....something held him back. He could feel the presence he'd felt earlier growing more potent. He could feel the dark signature he'd felt earlier and it was become more familiar to him. Pulling back behind the edge of the building, Kian searched his memory and stretched out with the force.
Then the message came over the comm systems.
The moment Kian heard the voice, he knew who she was. Kian had faced the Sith before as a Padawan and then briefly on the world of Kashyyyk several years previously. It seemed whenever horrific things were happening at the hands of the One Sith.....[member="Darth Hauntruss"] wasn't far behind. Closing his eyes, Kian stretched out with his mind, searching for the darkness.....searching for the familiar signature.
Darth Hauntruss!
Kian called out telepathically to the presence.
This isn't their fight. This is our fight.
Let us finish this.
Kian opened his eyes and began to make his way back toward the Baran Do Temple. He would wait for her there. Kian had seen the horrors that Darth Hauntruss could unleash and he didn't plan on letting her do it to his world. As Kian made his way back, he dropped all of his concealment. She would have no trouble finding him.
Opening her pack Sera located the holocron belonging to Master Karr's ancestry and placed it carefully inside. She turned to watch Varus as he unlocked what appeared to be some type of obscured lightside restricted vault. She hadn't ever heard or seen such a thing. The Kel-Dor enclave did have many secrets. How unfortunate that it would soon be consumed in darkness. Sera looked along the index of holocrons that had survived the ages. The mostly abandoned enclave still had a few things of worth in it, even if much had been moved to other locations throughout the centuries of Jedi transitions.
Locating the few holocrons of importance she quickly stashed them into her pack. A deafening roar towards the entrance of the temple would indicate that her and Varus were low on time. "We need to hurry. That doesn't sound like friendly explosives." Closing the pack she looked again at the wall. "Kriffing Sith. let's finish this." Looking toward the remaining artifacts that could not be taken due to lack of space or of importance, holding more sentimental value than relevance, Sera would activate her sabers and begin destroying the remaining holocrons unless Varus had a better solution. The Sith would not be long. She felt their presence growing nearer.
