Thraxis would rub his head, "Well, like I said, you will get to meet big end names... I mean, I'm even paying your entry cost, if you don't win it don't really matter, you get to meet high end people, get yourselves known, it isn't an opportunity that comes round the corner you know, its an opportunity of a lifetime!" he would respond, his joy once again dispersing, once again as the conversation had taken a turn for the worst.

Duncan would pinch the bridge of his nose in frustration. He loved his friends but for the love of whiskey they asked too many questions. It was at that moment of pure frustration his glass would crack, making naught a sound. He then said, "Yes, we're definitely entering this."

Reth growled quietly, spinning to face Duncan and staring him down.

"Great! Another round of drinks!" Cadan would place another cigar in Jaspers mouth, and use CZ Wrist-Mounted Flame Projector to light it. He'd look across to the bartender whilst doing so. "Another round!".
He'd throw down a holoprojecter. "Here is everything you need to know."

"It'll be interesting at least. We'll catch some beasts, for sure." He said as he held onto the his new glass of whiskey. For some reason the other had cracked when he wasn't touching it.

Cadan's right arm would light up. "If you will excuse me."
Cadan would walk away from the table and open up his comm. A cockney styled voice could be heard coming from his comm. The only words that the group at the table could hear would be "Cadan ------ recruits ------ 2,000,000 credits." Upon closing the comm he'd return to the group and pull up a chair.
"So you boys need some extra work?" A smile would creep across his face.

Keib's ears perk up at the mention of two million credits. He plays it cool. He says calmly, "Well, we are bound to be busy now with the hunt going on. I trust what you're offering is worth our time?" He smiles, warmly.

He pushed his free drink over to Duncan.

"Well it would appear that The Jackals are now recruiting..." He'd let the sentence trail off, his eyes scanning the group.

Keib looks surprised. "Well! That is quite the proposition. I'd have to, respectfully, decline. At least for the moment. Oh, and don't worry about that look Reth's giving you. He's a little cold blooded."

"Ahh all is well. I suppose not everyone can be persuaded with the promise of endless credits, the most powerful weapons, a fleet of their own, cortosis armor." He'd toss a small comm onto the table. "Contact me with that if you change your mind."

At the mere mention of being asked to join the Jackals his stress levels increased and when that increases, the alcohol content in his blood increases. Now that he had a drink in each hand, he could cure his stress for the time being. One drink after the other, he would assault his liver relentlessly until his two drinks were gone and everything was lucid, real frakking lucid.
He kept quiet and let his friends talk this one out.
