Strengths:
Sensor Package: The EC15 is a scout ship, designed for long-range scouting of enemy movements, and comes with the capabilities to collect and transmit data quickly before they’re discovered.
Speed: With the amount of engines it possesses for its size the EC15 is quite fast, even for a ship of its size, and is able to outrun most larger ships.
Weaknesses:
Defenses: Despite being equipped with deflector shields and anti-fighter weapons, the EC15 lacks a serious way to fight back if caught by enemy ships of equal or larger size, leaving its only real way of surviving an engagement to flee.
Electronic Warfare: While it’s protected from EMP and ion attacks, its sensors and transmitters can easily be jammed or traced by a vigilant enemy while active, leaving it an easy target once it activates them.
Description
Scouting and tracking enemy movements is a necessity in modern warfare, and the EC15 is a ship designed to do just that. Its enhanced sensors and data transmission capabilities make it an excellent choice for monitoring and exploration, though it can still be overcome by enemy jamming. On its own the EC15 lacks any significant weaponry, containing primarily defensive guns only effective against fighters, making its role in larger fleet operations primarily that of an escort, guarding larger ships from harassing fighters. Of course this leaves it as an easy target if caught on its own by larger ships, forcing it to rely on its speed to out-run them and jump to hyperspace for safety.
