"Kind of a strange thing to say since I'm not human."
He couldn't help but chuckle a little at that. His hand hurt still, but he ignored it as he watched her. Pain built character and he was not weak. He did notice that she became awfully quiet after saying what she did, and he could certainly tell that her comments about not needing his help were her way of saying she didn't want him to hurt himself for her sake. Nobody would say no to having their wounds healed under normal circumstances. She just didn't want him getting hurt for her sake. But she did want the silence, he could tell that much. Sometimes it was nice to feel the silence of space. To be fair, he tended to go into the silence of blackness when he was meditating anyway.
She rested a mere inch away from him and for a long while he resisted the urge to do anything. For several minutes, and then an hour. Nothing but silence and the two of them sitting in the empty bridge. But eventually he couldn't resist any longer and he reached his hand over to rest lightly upon her back as she leaned with her head upon her knees. Nothing was said, and all he did was rest it there. He didn't heal her though, he just rested his hand upon her back, as long as she didn't move away from him.
There wasn't anything to be said, he just liked her presence.
