Endor Dragon Slayers

"It is too bad," she said softly allowing her hand to continue running up and down along his back. His hands along her back sent shivers down her spine. Ana wouldn't have said no to spending the rest of the day out here in his arms. At this very moment it all seemed quite wonderful.

The next few minutes were pure bliss as they just stayed wrapped up in each other. She was reluctant to let go but she knew he was right. They had a camp to set up and exploring to do.

Ana was right behind him as she dove in under the water back to shore. She took his outstretched hand as she climbed out of the water. Once out of the water she opened her pack to grab a towel to quickly dry off before putting her clothes back on.

Drying her long blonde hair the best she could with the towel she pondered his question. Ana knew the dragons were in caves but where were the caves. "If I'm not mistaken there are a few caves to the west. It couldn't hurt to head that way."

Getting out her tent she began to set it up near his. It was nice for her tent to finally be getting some use. Normally she slept under the stars as they helped her sleep.

Once her tent was up Ana began to unpack a few things in her bag that she would need for later tonight. "What are you bringing to dragon hunting?" She questioned with her head in her pack. Ana wanted to be prepared but didn't want to overdo it plus it would help knowing what he was planning to bring.

As she went through the pack her mind ever so often wandered back to the kisses wondering what they meant and if perhaps more were to come.

He'd of been lieing if he said he didn't sneak another look...or two her war while she was drying off. He gave a quick shake of his head. "Dang. That's quite a woman." He thought to himself. After finishing with his perimeter set up, he got his tent ready. It turned out to be a lot bigger than he had suspected. A six person tent as it turned out. He let out a small sigh as he chastised himself for not paying just a little more attention to What the the list of items described the tent size as being. "Oh well." He thought again. "At least It won't be cramped."

"Sounds good to me." Ice said in reply to her suggestion where they should head. "As for gear. I got my two pistols, SS-7 rifle, Mirage Armor, a combat knife...and...erm..." He stopped, glancing around his stuff looking for his last item. "Ah, here they are. A couple grenades, class E thermals. I figure worst case scenario, a good thermal should put the beast down." Unzipping the door to his tent, he threw his pack in and shouldered his rifle after grabbing his cantine as well. If they were going dragon hunting. It wouldn't do to travel heavy. As it was, he was probably a little overstocked on the weaponry. But then, better safe than sorry. Basic mando training rule 1. Be prepared. "How about you? What you bringing along?" He inquired while after letting his skin air dry, he slipped the top portion of his armor back on, along with the shirt so she could more easily keep track of him.

While he waited for her response, his mind too drifted back to there little spot behind the falls, and the two kisses they had shared. He certainly wouldn't mind more of them, but he also knew he should probably take it easy and just see where things went. Make sure she was ok with what had happened as it were.

She could only smile and shake her head at the size of his tent. It was massive compared to her two person tent. She would have gotten a one person one but she had wanted a little extra room for herself. "That tent is huge," she playfully teased. They could honestly share and still have plenty of room between them. It may even be safer to do such. It was his tent though so not her place to ask such a question.

"I have my lightsaber, a few knifes, a rifle and amo. I will leave the grenade brining to you," she grinned at him. Ana also had the Force which she was finding out to be quite the powerful weapon indeed. The amulet around her neck helped with her growing pyro ability as it was made for such. He would see what she could do soon enough. "I also have a med kit incase one of us gets hurt. I know first aid pretty well."

She had the Force as her ally but Azrael had also taught her to fight like a real Mandalorian. It was still where most of her strength was even now. The Force at times was quite useful as well.

"I didn't bring my armor but I should be fine. I have gone through a war without it having been finished." She stated as she finished putting her things in her satchel. Ana added some food as well on the off chance they got hungry. She didn't know what to expect on this journey. Pulling her hair back in a pony tail she waited for him to be ready.

Ice chuckled in response to her playful teasing and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Yeeeaaaahhhh....I really needed to read the fine print it seems. When I purchased the kit, it seemed like it was designed around one person. I had no idea they added a tent meant to house a small army!" He finished with a laugh.

Ice raised an eyebrow at first when she started rattling off her list of items. "Oh! That's right. I keep forgetting you're a force user. I've always been curious as to what that must feel like to be able to control that force thing of yours. Never had that gift myself." He wouldn't voice it, but Ice was slightly concerned that they were about to go up against a dragon, and she had zero armor. Back on Barab 1, they had split up pretty early on. So he hadn't yet seen her fighting ability.

Pfft. Who was he kidding. She was a Mandalorian AND a force user. That was a potent mix right there. It would definitely give him the goose bumps. It was then he remembered one more thing. As she asked if he was ready, Ice rummaged through his pack. "Yeah...just one sec." Finally finding what he was after. He put the item in his pocket, closed his tent, and announced, " Ready! Though I think I'm going to let you lead since you seem to know what's what around here. So after you my lady." He said playfully.

When she passed him, her earlier comment about being a skilled healer suddenly came to mind. It would kind of be worth gettin' injured to have a nurse like that watching over you. Ice grinned boyishly at the scenario.

The Force used to be the bane of her very existence. She had hated that she was cursed with such a thing as the Graug priests and Sith alike. They all wanted to know her secrets as she could see glimpses of the future. It wasn't much at the moment but she was learning how to tap into that rare gift of hers. I doubt I feel any different than you. Now that I'm more in tune with the Force it's natural. I could give you a demonstration of you would like."

Ana wasn't looking to show off much. Really it may be good for him to know a little of what she could do. That last thing she wished to do was freak him out when fire flew from her finger tips or she began moving objects. She was pretty sure he wouldn't and had seen it all before but she rather not assume anything.

"I'm not really an Endor expert," she smiled slightly shaking her head as she began to lead the way. "All I did was look at a map and do some research. This is my first time on Endor." Ana had a chance to do said research late at night when she couldn't sleep. Planning what planet she wished to explore next seemed to be a good option especially when she had baked cookies the night before which she had brought with her.

"You better not be staring at my butt back there," she giggled turning around to check and make sure he was following her. It was apparent that Ana liked him. She could handle going to war but guys baffled her.

"Sure." He said curiously. "I don't get to see your forcies in action very often. And when I have, it's mostly been with the saber." He hoped he hadn't offended her with the term, but he honestly did know what to call her. Was she a Jedi? He at least knew she wasn't a Sith, and what a relief that was! But she could just be one of the many force users not really aligned to anything or anyone. None of that mattered to him in the end. She was vod. And that was enough.

"And oh ok. Well I'm glad one of us prepared." He laughed. "Normally I do...but meh. Was just going to let whatever happened on this trip happen. Sometimes, it seems planning just gets in the way of what is best for us. You know?" He couldn't help but actually think of her after the comment. He certainly hadn't planned on anything happening with her outside of just relaxing and enjoying each others company. Though, he supposed that still has been the only thing that had happened...just in a somewhat more involved manner.

His head shot up to meet her gaze, he had hoped in time for her to have not caught him. "I haven't the foggiest clue what you're talking about...", He said with a barely contained smirk trying to break its way out onto his face. Surely he wasn't that easy to read...was he? "It was prolly her force senses...or however they called them. Ya, that was it." He reassured himself. He'd have to bare in mind those abilities if he was to be spending so much time with her.

"I have one of those saber things as well. It was my mother's so I carry it." Ana honestly wasn't that great with the saber. She preferred her rifle any day of the week over it. She didn't care what he called her as long as it wasn't mean. Forcie really just sounded like a funny term. Glancing to the ground below her she saw a few rocks. Concentrating on them she used the force to bring one up into her hands. It's not my best trick but I don't want to sent the forest ablaze."

She could agree with him that sometimes it was best to not plan and to let things just happen. Ana had no plans really except to have fun with him and explore the planet. The young woman certainly hasn't planned on wanting to kiss him. These new feelings were something she wanted to explore with him during this trip. They could possibly turn into something else. Ana was just going to be open.

Giggling she playfully stuck her tongue out at him and wiggled her butt a bit. Reaching for his hand she stopped to wait for him to catch up with her so they could walk together. In the distance she could see mountains which she guessed was where the caves were. Ana didn't know how long it would take them to get there but she wasn't much worried. She was having a good time with him and the journey would give them time to get to know each other.

Ice mouthed the word "Aaah" in regard to her comment on the saber being her mothers, but didn't actually say it. He'd keep a note of that in the back of his mind. When she began moving rocks with her extended hand and cause them to float in their air, he looked on with a great amount of curiosity. Ever the inventor and person wanting to know how things worked, he threw a hand underneath and around the rock before she took it in her hand and then released her grip on it entirely to let it drop to the floor. "Fascinating! I wonder if that can be done artificially for us that don't possess the natural talent people like you do." He said honestly, and as a compliment to her. Neither feeling like she was showing off nor trying to make him feel less for his lack of force sensitivity. No, in fact his mind began to seriously ponder how he might pull off the same thing with tractor beam technology but on a miniature scale.

But with another shake of his head, he almost reluctantly forced the idea from his mind. "Not here to work. Here to relax and have fun." He reminded himself. The fun part was easy when with her it seemed. It was the forcing himself out of a inventors mindset that was proving to be more difficult. "Yes...let's not set the world on fire Master Jedi. It's nice the way it is." He gently teased with a wink to show he was only playing.

When she went and wiggled her butt, he bit his lower lip and suppressed a quick laugh. He at that point didn't know whether he should be berating Cryax for being an idiot...or sending him a gift and thank you card. Perhaps he'd do both someday. Ice more than willingly took her hand and joined her at her side.

Seeing the mountains ahead only bolstered his excitement. There were precious few landscape types that he liked as much as mountains. Actually there were none. He had imagined for many years that some day he might just have a small place on a lake in the high mountains somewhere. Though considering recently discovered events...that's dream was looking less likely...talk with Mandos normally turned into action. But those were not thoughts for now. Turning to give Ana a warm smile, he began walking with determination to find themselves a dragon.

As they walked, he mind drifted toward his companion again. "So Ana. I'm curious. The way you speak about the Mandalore. You sound like you know him personally. Do you? And if so, how did you meet him?" He knew it was a switch of topic, but he found himself wanting to know more about her. A person's past told a lot about someone. And this was a topic they had already brushed up on some earlier, so it seemed the natural place to start.

Ana's fingers intertwined with his as they continued to walk along the forest towards the hill. Things couldn't have been better, it was a beautiful day and she was walking hand in hand with a man she was rather fond of. He was Vod as well which was just a bonus in all of this.

As they continued to walk her head moved from left to right taking in the view. Beyond the trees there were colorful flowers, plants as well as various creatures running around. Many of the species were unfamiliar to her but were beautiful all the same.

She bit her lip slightly as he asked how she knew the Mandalore. Ana knew that some were intimidated by this fact. "Yes, I know him quite well. Azrael is my elder brother. He taught me everything I know." He had done much more for her than just teach her the ways of the Mandalorians. He had been there for her when she woke up in cold sweats screaming and took care of her. She knew that Az only wanted the best for her.

"You said you left Mandalore to see the galaxy. I'm sure you have seen many wonders. Out of everything you have seen what has been your favorite thing?" She wanted to know more about him and she found this question a good start in seeing what he liked. She could build off that.

His head turned toward Ana a little sharply. "Truly?" He turned and thought on it for a moment. "Huh...I never would have guessed. Well that's fortuitous. I might have you pass a word along to Azreal some time. But a topic for another time that is." He smiled as they continued on, turning his gaze to take in the beautiful surroundings.

He released her hand as she began to ask about his travels. Bending over, he picked a particular flower he found appealing.

columbine-flower-3.jpg
As he stood back up, he pondered her question for a moment, absently spinning slowly the small flower. He then turned his gaze toward her, a playful smirk forming on his face as he reached up and placed the gentle blossom behind her ear. "Currently? ....I'm looking at her." He actually surprised himself with the comment. It was more sentimental than he normally allowed himself to be. But for reasons he couldn't explain, it was all that came to mind. He gave a sheepish chuckle, and turned away. His face had reddened slightly at his unexpected declaration. And he didn't feel the desire to show it.

Still, he did find her to be quite amazing. A woman of many talents, and resilience it would seem to overcome many hurdles. Some quite recently that he knew of. Trying to play off the comment and not make it seem like such a big deal so as to not make things awkward, he asked. "So which Mando planet do you hail from?" He tried sounding as normal as he could.

She had no problem giving a message to her brother. It gave her an excuse to go see him not that she needed one. Ana knew in some ways she was lucky to be his sister but knew how big a responsibility it was. She was glad it didn't seem to faze Ice that much.

Once again Ana's face began to flush at the answer to his question. She had expected for him to tell her about some beautiful mountains he visited. Ae turned away from her she reached up to place her hand of his cheek to turn him back to her. Closing the gap between them she lightly kissed him on the lips. Ana wanted to show him that there was no reason to be embarrassed by his feelings as she felt similar.

His next question she had to ponder some as she wasn't sure how to go about answering it. She didn't come from a Mando planet. "I'm not from a Mando planet nor was I raised Mandalorian. Azrael took me in and took care of me. I joined his clan and he adopted me as his little sister. I currently live on Mandalore. What Mando planet are you from? Where do you live now?"

She assumed that he had been born into the culture and had just left to go exploring. What trouble he had gotten into Ana didn't know. In time she assumed he would tell her. She wouldn't pressure him but let him tell her on his time.

As they continued to walk and talk the mountains became clearer to the naked eye. They were getting closer now.

Much to his delight, his comment was not received badly, and in fact was rewarded with another one of her sweet kisses. In her answer to his question, lay more interesting pieces about her personality. So...she wasn't born a Mandalorian. Nor was she even raised a Mandalorian? How was it that someone with such a different background could now be so deeply ingrained into their culture? It brought on a smile of pride in her that was something only vod could understand. Ice couldn't have cared less that she hadn't been born Mando, or even raised Mando. Having been adopted into Mandalorian society, she was as much a Mando as he was. It was just the way of things and was no more odd that Mando's wanting to get into a fight. Quite honestly, it almost spoke more volumes about a person that wasn't from the culture and yet could so fully embrace it and make it their own, at least in his opinion.

"Me? I was actually born on Mandalore itself. Though currently I call Libertalia space station my home. It doesn't measure up to Mandalore in many ways. But I am still fond of it." Truthfully, he hadn't thought much about it for many years. At least not till he started maintaining company with Ana. Now that wasn't to say he didn't feel anything for Mandos. He of course still had his soft spot for them. It was just that she brought out his desire to reconnect with his people once more after so many years.

He was about to go on, when a bird flew over head cawing its warning cry as it made its way away from the mountain. Ice quickly stripped off his shirt, so his armor underneath could conceal him fully once more within its melding cloaked layer. Just as quickly raising his rifle, Ice scanned the area up ahead. "Looks like we might be getting close to our target eh?" He whispered as he quickly focused now on a possible dragon ahead of them.

The answer that she received only served to spark more questions she had. She wondered what it was like actually living in space. Why he chose to live in space. Ana had always found space cold, dark and lonely but that was on her ship. Perhaps Libertalia was some sort of paradise space station that she never heard of. You'll have to take me sometime," she smiled at him. Ana was being bold now assuming that he would wish to see her again after this.

Before she could receive her answer she noticed as well that they were close. The two had arrived quicker than expected but that was what happened when you were having fun didn't it.

"I agree, I'm thinking we should look in the cave." She nodded to him raising her rifle as she pointed a little her left. As she started to carefully walk that way she could see the dark cave clearer now. She could sense a dark presence inside. She couldn't be positive it was a dragon but it was something. "There is something in there," she quietly stated as she reached the opening to the cave.

Ana didn't even know how they would begin killing a dragon. If the rifle's didn't work they had plenty of backups but she was worried what it could do to them. She quickly shook such thoughts away and put her head back in the game. They were both Mandalorians so ought to be just fine.

"Do we go in there guns a blazing or do we have a plan?"
@[member="Ice"]

An unseen smirk now that he had put his cloaked helmet back on was on his face as he produced one of the grenades and tossed it up like a ball just to catch it a second later. In a hushed tone, Ice said, "I'm almost just leaning toward cautiously moving in and seeing if we can't catch it asleep. It wouldn't necessarily be the most sporting of kills. But with us being in a cave without much room to move around, I think it is our best chance. Or if you like and would probably be the better option if it isn't asleep, is I can run in there, piss it off, and get it come on out here where we can face it in the open more."

Open being a relative term of course. There were still a good deal of trees and boulders they could use for cover. He cast a glance around their surroundings and then pointed a blurry hand toward the cave entrance. "Maybe have you sit up above the entrance and drop down on his head with that saber of yours? Just spitballin' here. Thoughts?" He wouldn't have said so, but the thought of her running into a cave without armor against a fire breathing dragon didn't exactly site well with him. Mando or not, she was not invulnerable to the flames as much as he was in his specially designed protective armor.

While he waited for her response, he moved his ear to see if he could hear anything from inside... Nothing. Only the slight breeze that usually escaped a tunnel or cave. Not that he was questioning her ability to sense something in their, he actually just suspected the beast might in fact still be in a restful slumber.

[member="Anastasia Rade"]

She didn't like the idea of him going in alone. Ana knew that he was capable but she didn't know what could be in there. It was possible that more than one dragon was in there. She didn't like the idea of leaving him in there stranded if things went south.

"I think that we should go in together and scout around. This way we can have each other's backs. It's always best to stay together." Ana had been taught that important lesson by Az during the war. It was one she was not likely to soon forget.

It was possible that they could be walking into a dragon's nest and the mother was away. That would make it dangerous for whomever was standing guard. No, they needed to work like a team if they were to be successful at this.

Slowly and carefully she began to move into the dark cave. As she moved along Ana was careful not to make any sudden movements and to watch where she stepped. She didn't want to fall down or make any noise. One false step could spell disaster for Ice and Ana.

As much as she wanted to turn on the lights she knew she couldn't as that would also alert whatever was in here to their presence. Hopefully her eyes would adjust soon and he was following her.

The coast was clear for the moment...

[member="Anastasia Rade"]

Ice couldn't help but grin at her determination to go in there with him. With a quick admiring turn of his head, he followed her into the cave but soon took a more point position. His cloaking armor giving him the advantage of being less likely to be noticed by whatever was in there. He did stay close after turning on his SSD so that both their footsteps would be completely masked by the device and he could still hear her while it was on. If she were to stray to far from him though, she would quickly find herself outside the devices sphere of influence and would no longer be able to talk to Ice or even hear him, at least not without a comm unit.

The light from the outside shown a great distance inside the cave, but eventually it to began to fail. There was foul odor that was emanating from deeper within the cave, it almost smelled like death. He was willing to bet a great deal this was indeed a dragon's cave. As they delved farther into the depths of the mountain, Ice noticed a strange glow farther up ahead. "Well that's convenient." He said quietly. Slowly they moved farther and farther. Ice couldn't see anything though. The whole cave seemed to be one big empty hole in the ground.

Approaching a turn in the tunnel they were in, he peered around the corner. A small flames of fire seemed to be springing out of the very ground. It caused him to tilt his head as he wondered what geological event could have caused this most interesting phenomenon. Quickly scanning the chamber brought on a feeling of disappointment. Turning off his SSD device, he stood more casually. "Well that's to bad...empty. Do you think perhaps we should wait here and try to ambush the creature when it returns? This is obviously the right place after all." He said almost grimly with a gesture to a pile of bones in one of the corners of the dark cavern chamber.

As the two pressed onward Ana couldn't help but notice the smell of death. Closing her eyes slightly she tried to keep herself together. This scent was nothing new to her. It in fact reminded her a great deal of her childhood. It was a place she had never wanted to go back to but here all the memories came roaring back to her.

"We could go further back into the cave and perhaps see what else is in here. Perhaps the dragon is hiding something," she lightly shrugged. Ambushing the dragon sounded like a very good plan but she wasn't sure that she exactly wished to stay in this area. There had to be more back there. "It's not like we won't hear the dragon when he returns. I doubt he's as quiet as us. We could than come running. Trap it in its den."

Glancing around the cave she not only saw bones of dead human remains but bits and pieces of the weapons they had used to try and slay the dragon. It seemed that they were not the only ones whom wished to try and slay the dragon.

On top of smelling and looking like death the cavern was also cold and sticky. It left her wondering what was on the bottom of this floor. As she bent over to investigate further she noticed it to be red which she could only mean it was blood. Lovely.

@[member="Ice"]

"Sounds like a plan." He said happily as he began to walk forward to check farther back into the chamber. Rounding a large boulder which obstructed his view at first, his eyes suddenly went wide looking at something while Ana was doing her own examination of something on the floor. "Ana!" He called excitedly, but tried to keep it low. "Come here quick! Look at this!" When she were to come around the corner, a blurry hand would point to a couple objects not far away. They were dragon eggs! A pair of them. "Wow...I uh...didn't expect to find that. But that must mean the dragon can't be far away."

He pondered what to do with the new revelation. If they did indeed slay the dragon. Should they keep the eggs? Maybe have a massive omelet in the morning? As he wondered about food, his eye caught a movement. It didn't come from the cave entrance. Instead it came from the eggs. One of them had just moved. "Oh wow. Looks like baby dragons are to be on their way soon." Turning toward Ana, he smiled widely. "Can we keep 'em? Can we? Can we? Can we? Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeeee?" Ice said jokingly in a very childlike manner and ended with a chuckle.

@[member="Anastasia Rade"]

Ana came running as he yelled about seeing something. She figured that this little hunt would produce something. What she hadn't expected was for them to find something so soon like this. " Wow...just wow," she stated as she reached Ice whom was pointing at two rather big dragon eggs.

He was right, if there were eggs the mother dragon couldn't be far behind. If she saw people looking at her babies she would be furious at them. Such thoughts dissipated quickly as she saw the eggs begin to crack and rock back and forth. She couldn't help but laugh as he excited exclaimed that he wanted to keep them. Where she would house such a creature was something she would think about later. As it looked like the baby dragons needed a little help freeing themselves.

Bending down she reached for the little hole the baby dragon had made and pulled down on it opening up the egg up. No sooner had she done that a slimy little dragon rolled out of the egg onto the ground below. The little thing was no bigger than a house cat and was quite adorable. She watched for a moment as it tried to walk but failed and fell down. Shaking her head with a smile she did the same thing.

Scooting back a little she watched as the little baby Condor Dragons try to make sense of their new surroundings. "Yes," she smiled looking up to Ice. "I want to keep them. We could raise them ourselves and perhaps even ride them one day." It was a crazy notion but they were so cute and harmless for the moment. Reaching out with her hand she watched as one tried to walk over to her. The little fella chirped a little as it made its way over to her. She was serious when she said she wanted to keep them.

In the distance a loud roar could be heard as the mother dragon began to make its way back to where she was keeping her babies.

@[member="Ice"]

Ice took his helmet off and move to pet one of the little tikes. He couldn't help but chuckle at the little noises the dragons were making. Their clicks and chirps were adorable. A quick glance and he found them to be quite cute, even despite their current somewhat slimy state. It was interesting, because he had originally meant to collect a blood sample from the adult if they were able to slay it for research and development purposes. But now it seemed he'd simply get to keep one right out of the egg. Though all thought of conducting research on the little guy and flown from his mind. When Ana suggested they be trained, possibly even for riding. The thought made him smile from ear to ear. That sounded like a ton of fun. "Well that would be amazing. I guess we'd have to change our title to Dragon Slayers & Dragon Riders."

Although Ice wanted to play with the little guys with Ana some more, he instead took more of a defenders stance over the rock, making sure to keep vigil over the entrance. The sudden roar that filled the room was report enough that mama was on the way back to her babies. But they had other plans. Throwing his helmet back on he gave a quick look toward Ana. "Game time. Do you want to take one side of the cave and I'll take the other so we can flank her? Or do you just want to take her together?"

Another roar eminated through the cave, though much louder this time. It would appear the dragon was nearly at the doorstep. "Or you can stay here behind the rock, I'll use my cloaking armor here and hide by the entrance to the chamber. When the beast enters, I'll open fire on it and draw its attention my way. Once I have its attention, you can spring up from here and let her have it. Thoughts?" They didn't have much time to set up, but he wanted to make sure they were both on the same page.
