Enduring Adumar [The One Sith dominion of Adumar]

The dust began to settle on Valtryx's end of the battle. As the sound of rifles dropping to the floor in surrender filled her ears, she deactivated her lightsaber. There was no need to tell the Sith troops what to do, as they instantly began rounding up the cowards. In the new-found quiet of it all, Valtryx merely watched. The fear in the hearts of their enemy was so heavy in the air she could almost taste it, a useful resource to tap into had she realized it during her fight. "Hey, you, send a transport for me as well." She shouted towards a nearby commander, who gave a sharp nod and replied without question.
"Right away!"
Even giving such a simple order made her feel important, and the recurring idea of having her own troops in battle stuck to her. There was nothing against it, that was for sure, as she had heard of Darth Venefica's own brigade; yet whatever name she gave them Valtryx could not remember.

As the troops of Adumar were restrained and organized into lines, Valtryx strolled around the courtyard, awaiting both her partner and her ordered transport.
Today was quite the easy day, it had seemed.

"Good man!" the woman said cheerfully, the humorous untertone genuine for once. "I knew you were smart," she continued as she watched the guards surrender one by one. Those foolish enough to refuse their chance at life were summarily executed on the spot, dissuading anybody else who had the same stupid idea; she could respect the wish to fight and die bravely, but waving your gun and sputtering bravado while being surrounded by enemy forces was not the way to do it.

"The One Sith know how to appreciate a keen mind," the Knight went on as she moved among the soldiers rounding up the last of the defenders. Piles of weapons — most of them blastswords, unsurprisingly — were being loaded onto transport vehicles along with any other technology seized from the fallen protectors of Yedagon, to be inspected and put to good use by their own military. Waste not, and all that. "You are advised to stay put, ladies and gentlemen, and wait for the escort that should come to collect you shortly. We can talk terms on The Right Hand."

With that, Vrag cut the connection and turned to face the mass of people in the main square, blue eyes sweeping over the untold numbers kneeling on the harsh stone. A smirk, a snort, and then the heady feeling of superiority passed, failing to find fertile ground in the inhospitable environment of her mind. She swallowed the urge to gloat as she walked among the subdued people of Yedagon, her flamethrower still comfortable in the firm grip of armored fingers. The Knight would not grow complacent, not when victory was so close she could almost taste it already.

"The Republic abandoned you!" the woman called out to them, her voice carrying easily across the eerily pregnant silence that hung in the air above the plaza. "Again, I should say," a small chuckle escaped her lips, not entirely heartfelt. "I assure you, we will not," it wasn't completely clear if the statement was supposed to be comforting or threatening, and Vrag liked it that way. Instilling doubt in the enemy would inevitably lead to dissent and a shattered unity, and that, in turn, reduced the likelihood of an upstart rebellion.

"You are safe now, people of Adumar."

Well.

This was rather awkward.

It seemed that the man was now pointing a Blastsword at him. Alric didn't really understand how this particular event had come around, after all he had been friendly and had simply stated the facts. It seemed the man was rather uncooperative however, and now Alric had insulted his honor is some way. The CEO of Titan held up his hands, though the two Sons of Titan at his side had drawn their blaster pistols.

“Listen-” Alric began to say before being interrupted.

“You insulted my honor! You come in here waving your money around and claiming my family legacy is nothing! I challenge you!”

For a brief time she stared at the carnage that laid strewn throughout the city blocks behind her and at her current position. This city had been spared the complete devastation some of the other cities endured during the planet hoping invasions, thus the rebuilding of this city would not put so big a dent in the funds of the corporations that have been so generous in the rebuilding process. Still, there was a decent amount of work to be done to this city since some of the buildings had been reduced to rubble by the Sith fighters and the enemy's armoured division to attempt to swat the fighters out of the sky. In her opinion, the enemy had caused more damage to Yedagon city than the Sith military. The term was collateral damage she thought.

With the last of the prisoners shipped back and her wounded attended to, she began making preparations for clean up duty. The enemy's dead would be stacked in piles and set aflame while the mechanics and engineers would proceed with dismantling what was left of the armoured vehicles, cataloging and transporting any usable metals or materials back to the supply ships. Every little bit helps in the war effort. As part of the clean up process, she ordered that small squads begin searching the nearby buildings for two things.

Their first task was to uproot any enemy soldier taking refuge in either the rubble or standing buildings. Their orders were to subdue, not to kill. However, she felt the fight was already drained out of them so any resistance was futile at this stage. The second task was while they searched for any hidden opposition, they were to report any findings of both dead soldiers and citizens and have them brought out to be cremated. The discovery of any wounded, especially the citizens, would be examined by the field doctors and treated accordingly. A show of understanding and care to the wounded went along way in winning the hearts of the planet's citizens.

Irani’s appointment was going relatively better than Alric’s, relatively because to be entirely honest he would have rather done a duel then spend even a few more minutes with these pair of knuckleheads, better because they almost had the deal round and finished up. Not that he had been expecting anything less than that, it was a clear truth that there shet wasn’t up to date anymore.

So do we have a deal?’ the businessman finally asked, wondering what [member="Vrag"] was up to right now. She was probably kicking ass, making names and generally being a badass about all of it. He resolved himself to be more the Voice of the Dark Lord in the future, and less general businessman.

Well hold on now, let’s go back to sub-paragraph eight, section B.’

Darell sighed heavily and nodded.

Go on.’

“Ah.” Alric said quietly. “Okay.”

He doubted that there was anyway out of this. Something told him that the Adumari would not be persuaded from a duel when they were set on one. It was probably the mad look in the mans eyes. That dangerous glare. It was a familiar one to Alric Kuhn, he had seen it many times in the eyes of men who ended up getting themselves killed.

It never mattered what the cause was, only that it happened.

“Fine.” The men besides Alric tensed. Sons of Titan, their sole purpose was to ensure that Alrics way was had, which was an impossible task when he was dead. Both of them looked at their Master, gripping their Blaster Pistols tightly, edging fingers towards triggers so they could end this before it even began.

“Sir...She won't like this.”

Alric turned slightly towards one of the Sons, tired eyes and an exhausted look falling on him. “Of she's allowed to run around blind as a bat on Coruscant. I can enter a few duels.”

That was his answer, and then with a wave of his hand he motioned for someone to fetch him a blastsword.

There had been way to much running around for the red man today. Especially with Valtryx constantly running ahead. Yet, it wasn't so bad. For now, he was free of opponents and opposition, making the running easy as breathing as he went to caught up with the red head. She really needs to slow it down some.. There was a sigh from the Darth as he looked about to the carnage of the city. Where was all the energy coming from? Isn't she with.. Oh right.

Finally catching up to the Knight, he would reach out with one of his hands, and upon reaching her reached up to flick her nose. With a dull expression on his face, he'd look about the area with his blue eyes. While she did clear the area rather well, another slight ping hit him deep down. A protectors ping so to speak, but it wasn't the knight herself he wanted to protect.

"You know, running off and leaving people for me to kill is nice and all, but you're gonna reach a point where ya can't do that effectively, alright?" There was worry in his voice, so very unexpected for a Sith Lord such as he. Yet as he looked her over, a smile soon played on his lips. "Though, good trick with the removal of the guns. Made it easy to end."

[member="Darell Irani"] was right, of course. The whole scene was just one Michael Bay away from serial explosions in the background — never you mind that the bulk of fighting had already died out — and Vrag put special attention to her gait as she approached the palace with a detail of Elites in tow. Force knew that the officials wouldn't be safe from their own people after having surrendered to the invading force, and she'd hate to have her malleable bureaucrats shot after they'd already won. Not that the defenders of Yedagon really stood a chance at this point, but keeping the old would be much easier than instituting the new.

"This is Vrag," she said into her mouthpiece as they trekked up the wide staircase of the building. "Prepare a shuttle for transport to The Right Hand." She afforded a cursory glance to the lavish paintings of duels adorning the walls, the polished marble floors and the proud statues of warriors brandishing blasterswords. The woman let out a derisive snort at all the money wasted on the kitsch decoration instead of a, say, better defense system for their city. Karma had a way of getting back at people, it seemed.

Various degrees of shaken and frightened awaited them when they finally stepped into the council chamber, greeted with sweaty faces and red-rimmed eyes. She gave a curt nod to her soldiers, and the troops moved to round them up. "Which one of you is the King?" asked the Sith as her blue eyes scanned their nervous expressions. A small, graying man stepped forward from their midst, a golden brooch on his suit identifying him as the monarch of Adumar. Well, former monarch of Adumar.

"You are hereby relieved of your station and your duty," she said coldly, gazing down at him through the darkened visor. "Let's move!"

He leaped over a barricade and fell forward, wishing to transcribe the powers of the force but feeling them more weakened then he had ever known. The wind knocked out of him as he felt a kick to the ribs, sending him rolling. Using his arms, the clack the clack of metal against asphalt, he transcended his state with a pectoral push that sent him twirling to a standing position. As he did, his finger pressed against the silver trigger, sending enemy to the ground in a gasp and cough of blood and bone.

Slowly walking forward, vermin squirmed beneath the weight of his body, as he pressed shoe against chest to help stabilize him. With an aim of the barrel and one last thought, there was one more assailant freed from their wits and their mind...quite literally. Blood gushed as he winced from the vulgarity of the scene, as if too much of a good thing really could be a bad thing. Nevertheless, the fighting was over for him as he received a vibration upon his data pad and activated the communications.

::M'lord, we have acquired all three power stations and waste water treatment facility. We have partitioned energy and amped back the output significantly. The City is ours.::
::Very good commander. Get the waste water treatment facility online and patch the helmsmen in to the governing body. He's got a silver tongue, have him collect the keys.::
::Keys, m'lord?::
::Keys to the city. I want them. Property rights, taxation revenue, the works. I want deeds and licenses, I want it all.::
::Consider it done sir.::

With that, the helmsman was put in contact with the governing body and soon enough, the transaction would take place. Yegadon City would belong to him, but more importantly the One Sith. He put little value in such things, but he knew they held commerce for others.

The entire eastern front had collapsed. By this point The Primeval forces were already marching in the center, the few pockets of resistance were quickly overwhelmed and eliminated, the Host Lord herself was still idly watching. Few did survive, the young were captured and would soon become their slaves. Gulandi cheered savagely as they put captured minutemen in circles and forced them to fight each other for their 'lives' but those who did survive were executed shortly after. It became somewhat of a cruel game that these corrupted Sephi were fond of.

Anja walked beside the groups of her men and women, the fight was mostly over when a small child came up and hugged her leg. A young girl by the looks of it, she was crying hysterically -- likely witnessed her parents die in front of her. "Come here, child.", she kneeled down to embrace the human child; soon to become indoctrinated into the bleeding sun.
