Episode IV: No Hope

"I'd hope so. Have seen anyone else? A girl around 17, green skin probably?" It was only after the words escaped his lips he realized how odd of a statement it was. His child and wife could look like just about anything, as could any and all shi'ido, of course his daughter was limited to more human forms due to being a halfbreed, but still she had options. Marek was beyond worried, his daughter was the only thing he truly had, Sith had taken the rest or it was out doing good things in some distant corner of the galaxy. He needed Rasu right now, but she was gone, always gone. So the Jedi Master would make due.

Allies: Mandalorians
Kad groaned and rolled on his bed. Unfortunately, the Cathar was fresh out of bed. With a startled growl, he fell into a heap on the side of his bed. Nailed it, he thought to himself. He reached up to his nightstand to blindly look for his flask of tihaar. Kad grabbed it and took a swig. He took comfort in the familiar burn, and got dressed to start his day. Except it was quiet. With the exception of sirens it was all quiet in his room. Kad lived in his arms and armor shop on Keldabe Mandalore. If its quiet here, then something was horribly wrong. he strode to to his lift, flask in hand, and rode it down to the central part of his shop. The Mando checked his comms. Half of his staffs IFF's had completely disapeared, like they never even existed. What is this nonsense? The Mando made his way to the armory to suit up and head straight to Oyu'baat. If there were answers they would be found there. As he neared the old pub's entrance he took one more draught from his flask to get his buzz on and entered the shabby establishment. He called out to the crowd of people "Is it just me or is the town empty..." He trailed off as his eyes settled on [member="Gilamar Skirata"]. He blinked rapidly, coughed slightly and cleared his throat. He pointed at his old mentor incredulously. "What?", he said stupidly. His words were failing him an it wasn't because of the liquor.

"You fly better than your father," Owain admitted, undoing his buckle and standing up, stretching his legs. "How long before we reach the planet?" he asked the princess, looking around the cockpit for a way to pass the time. "And uh...this ship has an autopilot right?" he asked, an uncomfortable thought striking him.

The girl smiled at his complement. So, she was good at something then! It meant more than he could have known.

"Yeah, it does," she answered, standing up, "Couple hours, like I said."

She wanted a nap. More than anything, she just wanted to close her eyes and wake up again and have all this just be a dream. Everything.

"Thank goodness. I think trying to fly this thing would be the furthest thing from my mind if you up and vanished on me too..." Owain breathed, slumping his shoulders.

426 ABY: OMNI STRIKES

"Quickly, to the main grid."

The task team surrounded Bollie and his brother, Vollo. Bollie traded a look with his brother... one of concern. "Are you ready to do this?"

Vollo nodded.

"RED TEAM, CLEAR." Static erupted from one of the men in uniform's comm units. The New Alderaan Facility... it had been reacting quite differently from the others. Weeks ago, the O.M.N.I. program had suffered a life-threatening setback as the sentient program had become... unstable. They'd been shutting down facilities for weeks, with little to no feedback from the O.M.N.I. itself. Omniscient Machines of New Intelligence... that's what Vollo had jokingly nicknamed this new... creature. Back before the program corrected them with it's own preference of naming schemes.

It seemed so... helpful at first. Like it had been designed for one singular purpose - the rebirth of a destroyed Galaxy. Bollie was starting to feel like this wasn't the case at all... like somehow they had been duped.

By a droid.

One that had been apparently replicating it's matrix here, on New Alderaan, for the better part of the last year. This Facility was massive. There had been no record of it until recently...

There was no telling what Omni was up to here.

"BLUE TEAM, CLEAR."

"WHITE TEAM, MOVING INTO POSITION."

Bollie and Volo lowered their visors as armed men grabbed the two scientists and practically carried them into the C.I.C. - Combat Informations Control room.

What they encountered?

A single man standing before a massive holoterminal, furiously typing away at the console.

Except he didn't look like a man. Not upon closer scrutiny. It looked like some sort of... monstrosity. A shell, a pale shade of what it once was. It was hard to make out exactly what this creature was... it stood at an odd angle. Abnormal growths had at one point erupted through it's skin.

The team stopped, and so did the ...creature. It turned around, and upon its face sat a pair of very familiar spectacles that shown brightly under the blue illuminated hue of the holomonitor.

"...Zero?" Bollie gasped.

844 ABY: Not long after billions of people disappear from the Galaxy...

"Okay, I get it... bad joke." Bol-Jahir looked at the smaller one with its hand on its weapon. "But time is of the essence. I need to procure a ride."

"The disappearances... the billions... Missing. I think I know where they are."

"I need someone to take me to Csilla. The Chiss homeworld. I can try and explain on the way, but we must leave now."

The city began to rumble... far below the upper tiers of Coruscant, a extraplanar Rift was opening...

She walked past owain, placing a hand lightly on his shoulder with a smile. His concern was sweet, even if that wasn't how he meant it.
"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhe-"

Flashes. Sparks. No sound. She heard nothing, but the pictures flashing through her head were quite clear. Something significnt. A building that she thought she recognized but couldn't place. Another flash. Space. explosions again, flames dying the second they escaped into the black.

And then it was over. She found herself clutching the side of the hall, face contorted in pain. It was all less than an instant, but she saw it. All of it. Something significant, or she wouldn't have seen it. That had to be it. Where though? Not Naboo, she was sure of that, but where?

Now this was a turn of events.

Both the Jedi and the Darker green man turned down and were very angry at this guy. He came up here for a reason, and they shot him down for no reason. Even I knew that as he stood there. Do you really think that someone would walk up to both a Sith and a Jedi Knight just to tell them a bad joke. Looking around, The man asked for a ride. Walking forward, I felt weird. I was going against my programing. I was supposed to be hiding. Something was up, and it was affecting me once more. Why was I able to choose? Why did I feel emotions?

I shot that down quickly as I walked forward.

"If you two aren't going to give him a ride, then I will. I have one of the fastest ships in the system. Hell, I'll take all of you there."

Why was I doing this? Well if they asked, I would have said it was my programing to aid those in need. They might accept it. It was when I offered my hand to the robed man in the form of a handshake I knew I was getting myself in trouble.

"Wanderer is the name. Now lets get moving."

If he shook or not, I decided that now was the time.

"Keep your promise organic. Or I will make you pay dearly."

One thing that I craved was information. Information about anything. So if this man could provide some, it would be well worth it.

"You, heavy Droid person thing." Krest brought a finger around, pointing it to[member="Wanderer EXO"] . "Shush it. One person who randomly comes out is one thing. Another who drops down and makes a crater behind a friend and could of hurt him is another." It should be noted Krest cut him off right from the beginning, a large frown on his own face. Too many people trying to jump in.

However, he would turn and nod to [member="Bol-Jahir"] . "My ships right there. Lets just go, I wanna hear this." It wasn't that he trusted a masked stranger, but he had little idea what else to do. Nodding his head to both [member="Gherron Vael"] and [member="Darth Valtryx"] , he would speak again. "Lets head off then. And giant menacing robot, you can come along too if ya want, after you know, apologise for almost crushing my friend to make a dramatic entrance."

Billions if not trillions of people disappeared. Krest wasn't in a nice mood.

As Gherron spoke to the newcomer, he stumbled back a foot or so when a strange being landed in front of him, cracking the very ground around it. When it spoke, it had a female voice, yet was metallic. It seemed rather cheerful to him, but he couldn't be sure. However, at the mention of billions missing, Gherron's mind snapped back into reality. Billions? So, it was bigger than he'd thought. A tremor filled the air. It seemed to him that the only option was to help the man, and the droid, or so Gherron had decided to classify it, had offered a ride on a particularly fast ship. Glaring at Krest at the mention of a 'friend', he took a breath before speaking. "Make no mistake, I am not your friend, zabrak." If he sounded cold, it was definitely warranted. The man had tried to kill him, and Gherron, as well, was not in a very good mood. He'd lost his best friend and his girlfriend as a result of this 'mass rapture'. "I agree with the droid. If it has a ship that can take us there quickly, i'm going with it."

[member="Wanderer EXO"] [member="Darth Valtryx"] [member="Bol-Jahir"] [member="Krest"]

The Zabrak stares at [member="Gherron Vael"] for a moment before literally reaching to his side and patted the side of his ship. "This hangar is empty sides from your ship and mine. Feel free to follow the Droid to where ever his ship is." With that, the red man would walk back onto his own ship and start barking for his own Droid. "Set a course for Csilla."

Paecia
1 hour after the vanishing.

The situation outside was deteriorating rapidly. Slowly the line of military police was being pushed back towards the Paecia Intelligence building. The authorities tried using crowd control countermeasures, tear gas and sound cannons to disperse the rioters in a non-lethal manner, but the sheer size of their numbers made even those tools useless. Every so often an officer fell, or a tear gas canister would get picked up and lobbed back at police, or something was caught ablaze by a Molotov cocktail.

"How soon till my shuttle arrives." Asked the Sith Lord. There was an explosion, and the Sith shielded his face from the shrapnel and debris, with a protective barrier through the force. Bodies caked the ground and blood rushed like a river from the corpses into the street. Kentarch looked to see an armored vehicle which had caught fire by a make shift incendiary device and been rolled, thus causing the explosion. Yet Kentarch was deeply disturbed, not by scene of death around him, no. It was the force itself. Something was wrong. And Darth Kentarch could not actually put his finger on it. More then half the people in the galaxy vanish, and now the force itself is... Kentarch was having trouble wrapping his head around the recent events. "Where's my shuttle!" He shouted over the rioters.

The lights appeared in the dark sky, and a small ship descended upon the Sith not less then a minute later. Kentarch quickly boarded and motioned for the pilot to go. "This is a one stop, one passenger flight. Move out!" He ordered the pilot, as the ship pulled up into the atmosphere. Kentarch turned to look out one of the small view ports. As the ship lifted back up into the sky, the wall of military police collapsed into against another wave of protesters.

Sitting down, Kentarch moved to the shuttle's small holo-projector and brought up HoloNet News. As images appeared on screen Kentarch was met with the same report on every planet where news casting was still functional. Trillions vanished, riots had overcome local governments. Even the major factions of the galaxy, while they had re-mobilized their forces, had been reduced to nothing but series of Rump States. The Sith Lord opened a communication over the HoloNet and tried hailing anyone who was still standing.

Xhinx orderly headed down to the lower level, not even know who he was working for. A risk Xhinx was willing to take in order to find worthy information. If all went south Xhinx was ready for anything. Xhinx ended up surrounded by a bunch of droids trying to kip this ship operational. Xhinx had little experience with ships, but he knew the basics, he also learn a thing or two from the other droids, as he would help repair the ship.

Xhinx awaited [member="Jentara Vel"] and [member="Alicia Drey"] to notify when they were ready, and when the other groups arrived. So he could finally do something fulfilling.

Strider did not lower his blaster pistol for this was not right, the dead should not rise. "If this is an omen, Preliat, Its not one that is giving me confidence of good things to come." Strider also knew he did not have much time to dwell on this situation as well. Either shoot the man now and get it over and done with or...... or move on and get to finding those that are missing and not those that are rising from the dead.

"Fine!" Strider quickly holstered his pistol, his visor sternly still directed at Gilamar "Your not Gil till we get hard evidence that you are and will be placed under arrest unless you can quickly explain your recent ascension to life in under a minute?"

A more pressing issue came up, Nolan just reported that his daughter was also one of the mission as were many more of his family. Everyone all had loss and here Gilamar was back from the dead. His story better be good!

Alicia watched Xhinx leave the presence of herself and Jentara. Her eyes followed the man leave the room, before turning her gaze back to the woman. The vaporization. How could she forget? Sadness crept over her features as she studied the woman. "Yes, I remember it. It's all I've ever thought about. How did you survive?"

Maria's appearance from NPC App ^
As one of the newest ferrymen Maria still hadn't gotten used to the concept of really being dead, so when she figured out that she could quite literally go between the lands of the living and the lands of the dead. So the solution was simple, instead of simply tapping someone on the shoulder and sending them back she seems to have found it much easier to move with them through her own rift and enjoy her time in Voss with each soul as she stood in the forest now outside the main city. Sure she was dead but she showed absolutely no signs of it and now really just stood there to take in the beauty and move back into the void to go after her daughter and the fox boy she is marrying... maybe she could set her daughter straight about marrying him too while she is at it.

This is after the SD Invasion of Belkaden

Location: Space To Voss
Objective: What the kark is going on?

Nicole sighs. Something was definately off in the galaxy. Riots were happening on all planets it seemed, and she wanted to find the answer. She meditated for a moment, trying to focus and find some answer to ths cause of these riots and random disappearences. Soon though, she felt something odd. It was sortof close, but far in the same sense. Without warning, she got up, and went to head towards the nearest hanger, got in a ship, and started to head towards the planet. Voss.

"Honey, you seem to not remember that I'm a lot more powerful than most of the other Sith. My power simply lies in a completely different realm - death is something that I've successfully defeated. And so long as I still have a body to inhabit, I will live. Forever." She chuckled. "That's not changing anytime soon... But while I understand that your betrayal gained you what you wished, you still must be punished for your treachery, however benign it was intended to be." She leaned forward, her lips touching the ear of Darth Ayra.

The Dark One's conception shall be within the hour.

Neyana

Exiled Princess of Kesh
Location: Voss.
Objective: Finding out what brought her here.

When the girl landed on Voss, Nicole decided to explore around. The forests were nice and lovely, but something was hidden inside, and something was just urging for her to find it. "...What is dragging me far away from home to find it.. Something truly is at hand here.." The girl spoke outloud, and would continue her search. Eventually, she would come across someone oddly familar in its own way.

Valtryx remained silent for most of the squabbling, before making her decision on the matter. "Go on Krest's ship, we shall." She decided, following the Zabrak onto his vessel. As she made her way up the entrance ramp she turned back to the masked man, beckoning him to enter. Whether Gherron or the robot came on, she didn't care. "One wrong move, and kill you, I shall." The Yodaling said with a cold, serious voice. She intended to watch this man's every move; there was no telling whether he was trustworthy. But, on the off chance he knew where all the people had gone then he might be extremely useful.
