Escape from Mon Cala (pm to join)

Mon Cala was a beautiful ocean world, surrounded by impressive shipyards where the ingenuity of the Mon Calamari thrived. The planet was home to two native species, the Mon Calamari who mostly lived on the scattered islands and floating cities and in their defensive structures like the MC-80s. And then there was the Quarren who preferred the dark deeps of the ocean. There had been plenty of conflicts between the two species, with the Mon Calamari came out victorious due to their superior technology. For Mon Cala to be prosperous, the quarren were to work the deep ocean mines and bring resources up to the Mon Calamari who build magnificent ships. The uneasy symbiotic relationship between the two had ended five years ago when the Quarren sided with the SIth Empire and its conquest of the ocean world with promise of being the dominant race of Mon Cala.

The Sith Empire did not bring superweapons like planet killing lasers or explosives. No, they brought death in a much more sinister way. They brought poison to turn the beloved ocean against the headstrong Mon Calamari. Major populace centers were decimated by the poison. A genocide that guaranteed The Empire and their Quarren puppets complete domination of Mon Cala. Problem was, the poison was not the worst of it. The Sith brought their monsters and released them into the oceans. Four meter long mutant fish that were once Calamari and sith spawn demon creature known as a leviathan. The very waters that were home to the Mon Calamari is now a dangerous enemy. The Genocide survivors were enslaved by the Quarren and for the last five years have been treated harshly and inhumanly.

Location: Mon Cala, Northern Hemisphere.
Underwater City ship Nautilus.
Hangar Bay

Nemo Dakkar could not break eye contact with the lifeless gaze of the child calamari. The boy's name was Raddu, the youngest child of Nemo's closest friend Batu. Batu and his family were all executed the night before and their bodies crucified upon the Hangar's wall. The quarren suspected Batu of being a leader and conspirator for rebellion. Was not like the Quarren needed evidence to execute or murder their slaves. Mon Cals were known to get slaughtered for just giving their masters a wrong look. Their bodies being placed on display was also nothing new, this was a form of primeval subjugation they practiced continuously upon the enslaved race. It was moments like this that Nemo knew it was best that his wife and children died to the poison those many years back.

They were all rounded up in the early morning and forced to view the bodies as a reminder to those who had revolutionary thoughts. Nemo could see the Quarren leader, Quid Lokko. He was commander, mayor, chieftain of this city. The city being a MC-80 named Nautilus after one of ocean's mollusc. He was proud of himself, cutting the head off the snake before it struck. He was sharing handshakes with his councilors and security officers and congratulatory fashion. Nemo kept a cold face, emotionless to not betray an ounce of truth for Quid and his security officers got the wrong Mon Cal. Batu was not the leader, conspirator yes, but not the leader. Nemo was.

A revolt five years in the making. Nemo had been patient, cautious and meticulous in his planning. He played the long con, cultivating connections with rebel agents that had infiltrated the planet. Weapon cashes, security codes and necessary supplies had been made available. All that was left to do was give the signal and the rebellion would start. Nemo could see all the quick glances from his fellow Mon calamari that stood around him. They were ready, they had been ready for weeks. They were only numbered close to a thousand. They greatly outnumbered the Quarren for over the years they had grown complacent and cut down man power. Believing that the Mon cals had been fully subjugate with only a few cancerous individuals here and there.

Nemo stood in the front rank of the slave formation. There were possibly a hundred armed guards corralling them with Quid Lokko way out front and close to the wall where the Mon Cal family was hanging. He was about to give another motivational speech about loyalty and bla bla bla and consequences.
