Ray shields are a good idea, but how would we land in one after the ship crashed? Rather, how would we be manipulated into one? And it'd require a massive amount of resources to cloak large swathes of the landscape in ray shields, I'm not sure how they'd manage that. Got any alternatives for shields? Or perhaps, rather than physical barriers, maybe they use some other initiative to keep us on track?

Oh, I was imagining while the games had already started. Other was of keeping them on track is various droids? I'd imagine enough of them could keep injured on the run.

traps, we could just walk into them randomly, or bait the traps with innocents that we'd either help or slaughter depending on the mental state of the group, the ray shields could have underground powerplants or generators, and like I said before a shield projector could easily have it modified to be a ray shield projector, the power is doable on a large scale because of the underground generator/powerplant. the other initiative they could use is some of our gear that we had before getting trapped as a reward for killing a raid 'boss'

I agree that spires would be both more practical and easier to achieve from a tech standpoint. :)

The only times that I can think of that floating cities were used; they doubled as mining operations above gas planets. An example would be Lando's city above Yavin 4. Otherwise, the amount of tech and energy needed to resist the planets gravitational pull would be enormous. On top of all that you'd still have to run all the other tech that you'd expect to find in a city/base.

Fair enough. And by floating city, you mean Cloud City above Bespin. ;) But yeah, floating cities are usually situated above gas giants whose valuable resources force them to. Unless we scrapped our codex and reworked it as such (which we can't, we're in too deep), there'd be no viable purpose for floating cities.

@Everyone

Alright, so let's do a rundown of what we need to get done.

  • Me and [member="Joran Del-Finn"] will be working on codex subs. Once he gets back to me, the rough draft for the planet will be more or less complete (we spent a damn good amount of time on it, and both come from independent planet projects we've both had for god-knows how long). In addition, I'll wrap up additional codex subs to submit in-bulk along with it as quickly as my fingers can type. Expect this to be completed soon.
  • [member="Jakkor Kess"] can keep being chill and sharing ideas, while getting my R&M references; bonus points to my favorite Tusken Jedi.
  • [member="Silas Miu"], [member="Singularity"], and [member="Jaster Starfallen"] are working hard on the company coming up with ideas; we won't need anything out of your guys anytime soon, but it's nice to see you guys sticking around to keep pumping out ideas and doing research. Keep up the good work and you've got some kick-ass ideas bouncing around in the chat. Even when I'm not on, I encourage you to keep it up among yourselves; if you ever get an idea, drop it in that chat, and we can all review it when we're available.
  • [member="Kevros Kovani"] and I will be working together to help shape the antagonists. The poor guy just joined and he's already researching the hell out of prison ships for the Purgatory, so a round of applause for him, please. He's also been doing a great job helping me brainstorm all sorts of neat tricks for the bad guys, which I'm certain all of you will love.
  • [member="Dax Fyre"], [member="Aerin The Lost"], [member="Nicair Claden"], you guys have been doing a lot to help us figure the plot and building the story, which has been entirely invaluable, so thank you for that.

XD!! Thanks. I don't think there is much I can offer. We mostly got everything covered thanks you great writers in this discussion,but I have one idea of adding deadly beasts into the games such as Rakghouls,Nexu,Acklays etc.. other than that @Everybody came up with just about everything for this soon to be exciting RP! :)

Couldn't find the link. I should make a wiki for it...anyways here's the skinny.

The Death Spire was a battle station used by Lord Odion. I was a tower of several concentric platforms that couldspin independently to fire on people below. It was absolutely devastating. It could also fly around like any other starship, thus making it completely mobile.

My idea was that there would be smaller, but wider versions of these used as arenas. They wouldn't be mobile, but the lower segments could be holding areas, barracks, etc. as well a place where sponsers could come watch the games a dole out gifts to those they wish. In addition each of the upper levels (let's just say 3 upper levels 3 lower levels) has different climates. The lower levels would have easy acces to each other, but the only way to access the upper 3 would be through loading tubes to put combatants into the arena. The upper rings would also be connected.
